They redid a lot of things in the past few years so many old reviews may not be relevant anymore. The people were nice, they were fast for dinner rush, and the food was great! We placed a mobile order and checked in at the drive thru speaker. It was a quick and easy process and the girl at the speaker was friendly. The food is meh (what you'd expect at Sonic/fast food) but the frozen limeades are where it's at. Docked a point because we ordered a Crispy Tender Dinner and received a single onion ring in the box. Stopped last night (1/27/24) for a special treat for the kid. The kids (ages 14,10, & 8) knew the drive thru worker was out of line with her tone and how she addressed us. Not only was she rude to us as the customer but she could also be heard talking down to her fellow co-workers. I get being unhappy and all but she took rude to a whole new level. This is literally the worst Sonic experience I've ever had. I ordered a diet Cherry limeade which had zero carbonation, no ice in the cup, and was mostly just fake cherry syrup. It was so gross I threw it away after two gulps. I also had a corn dog that was so over cooked that the external breading almost couldn't even be cracked by biting into it, not that I really even wanted to take a bite after seeing how overdone it was. So I get it, it's Memorial Day weekend and the weather is beautiful. I don't mind waiting but I do mind it when most of the order is completely messed up. This location is a lot slower than the one on Alpine, and the food falls short of the sonic standard. On our last visit, we noticed that the burgers had very little toppings, the food was cold, yet the fries seemed to be hard and overdone. One of our drinks was made incorrectly, which usually isn't a big deal, except they put lime wedges in which is a very powerful Taste. We also ordered a bag of ice and a side of cheese sauce, Neither of which were included in the bag. Our fault for driving away without the bag of ice, but by the time we realized we knew we would have to sit in line for another 20 minutes just to make it back to the window. when I called the manager said there was nothing they could do unless I could provide a receipt. I will pick steak 'n Shake next time, and save my sonic cravings for when I am up on Alpine. read more

But giving the benefit of the doubt we gave it a second chance and we watched at least 15 cars and waited over 20 minutes! We used to like this place but after last nights visit (2/24/2015 at around 6:30pm), I will not NEVER be back to this location. I will start off by saying the people working there tonight were friendly but that is where the good in this experience ended. We pulled into one of the stalls & placed our order (2 of the new spicy 4 piece Super Crunch Dinners, a corn dog kids meal, & chicken strip kids meal, & large mozzarella stick) when we finished our order we were told we would need to go through the drive thru in order to pay & pick up because of the weather (it wasn't snowing, their lot was cleared & it wasn't too cold, so not sure why), there was a line in the drive thru. It took us 25 minutes to get to the window, pay for our food, and receive our food. We parked at the Target next door to eat. As we went through our items we noticed that items were missing (toast & onion rings that were supposed to come with our dinners). As we began to eat our meals we noticed how nasty & cold everything was (go figure seems how it sat there for almost a half hour!). We also noticed that in one of our chicken dinners we ordered we got 4 of the spicy chicken strips and on the bottom of that box was an original and it was OLD & DISGUSTING (you could tell it was sitting there for longer than when we ordered!) We drove back to go through the drive thru in order to let them know how awful our food was and about the missing items but the line was so long, we were not going to wait (we had kids to get home & into bed). This was the most disgusting food we have tasted at a Sonic! So disappointed in this visit. UPDATE: Tried this location again on 6/4/2015 @ around 6:30pm, Guy taking my order was very friendly, the female car hop (blonde girl) not so much! We didn't have any of the sauces we asked for so had to call the car hop out again & no napkins. Now the food, my corn dog was burnt & DISGUSTING, tasted as if it had been sitting for hours (was cold & tasted extra greesy), my poppers where cold (& really greesy tasting, maybe change your cooking oil once in awhile!), cheese not even close to melted and nasty, I could go on about the rest of the food we received but this would be a really long review! She said you already ordered what do you want now. I started to explain the above wanted to use coupon for route 44 and still a med diet cherry limeade - she kept YELLING at me when after 2 tries that I couldn't do that as I already ordered and stated she'd "disconnect " me. I never had a problem here and then I ask for manager name this is when she disconnected me. This was so very nit cool as I'm a loyal customer (3x week). Messed up my order several times and after sitting for 13 plus mins never heard an I'm sorry or we'll fix that no problem. Used to like this place, but today (January 30th, 2013 at 9:35am) I found (and bit into) a cooked cockroach on my supersonic cheeseburger. This caused me to immediately puke all over. Absolutely disgusting! I called to comments/complaints number and they made it out as a very minor deal. A health inspector really needs to check out this place. Sonic had FINALLY come to the area. My trips to the South have always had a trip to a Sonic. Last time I went to see a friend in Florida she refused to take me because it was "junk food". On the last day I finally wore her down enough to take me. And you know what? She actually enjoyed it. Going in to Sonic you know it isn't health food. It is greasy goodness. I usually get the Sonic Burger and a Cherry Limeade. I skip the fries usually because I don't need the calories. I guess you ask if I'm counting calories why do I eat here? Good question. The food is good. Service is fast and friendly. When Sonic first opened it was months before you could even get in without a LONG wait. Now the novelty has worn off a bit and you can get in no problem. If you have never been to a drive-in treat yourself and try it. read more

Coming from Chicago and someone who has experienced SuperDawg many times this drive-in is doable but lacks charm. I like the rollerskate delivery girls, even in the winter months but maybe it's the location to me that seems forced. The food was what I expected for fast food and I like the happy hour idea for their drinks (Limades, Slushies, Smoothies). This Sonic has the worst service I have ever encountered at any fast food restaurant. The service is slow, they do not keep to the order of first come first served, and the staff is very careless and unfriendly. We sat in their drive thru lane for 10 minutes, while the car behind us got their food and drink order before us. Keep in mind, we only order 4 drinks. The staff could have cared less when we brought it up, and the fact that it cost $10 for those 4 drinks is simply ridiculous. They have a large variety to choose from as well, including some that have bacon at the bottom which I found interesting.
