Waited over 30 minutes for a mini sundae , a jr burger and cinnamon sticks that were cold and the sundae was melted...the entire right side (while leaving/left side facing the restaurant) was flooded. I parked in stall 19 and proceeded to sit there for 25 minutes. The red button cleared itself 3 times and nobody ever took my order. I would say this is a one off experience but this happens every time I visit this location. I wish I could comment on the food, but I've never gotten even close to ordering it. read more

I haven't had fast food in ages (almost a year?), but happened to run into this Drive-In on our way home from a short road trip. First of all, I love this retro "Drive-In" concept, as well as their menu of burgers, sandwiches, hotdogs and shakes (and more!). Also, from my very few experiences (possibly 3 or 4 times total?) in various chain locations in my past, I remember thinking that their burgers and shakes were pretty good. On this latest drive-in experience, I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich w/ Tots, as well as their Root Beer Float...and all were quite yummy. My husband seemed to enjoy his mile-long hot dog as well. So again, no issue with their foods. Here's the one big problem with our Drive-In experience. The waitresses were NOT wearing masks. Amazing enough, in York, SC, there must not be a mask mandate in place (??). Despite a fairly full lot of cars, I only saw 2 waitresses...and both were not wearing masks!! Just WOW. We quickly popped ours on when this super-animated waitress came to our car window, talking right into our faces. Despite her perkiness, she was completely oblivious! Honestly, I would have much preferred a non-animated bitch with a mask on. For the food (and the fun concept), I would have gladly given 4 stars, but for the lack of mask wearing, I would have gladly given a ZERO. Sadly, that bumps their ratings to about a 2. I'm not giving up on Sonic, but I may wait until I revisit one of their Drive-Ins, given how their Covid precautions are so lacking. What a shame! Pulled into a spot at this Sonic and pressed the red button to order. Waited about 8 minutes when this truck pulls into the spot next to me. He was immediately greeted and asked for his order, meanwhile I'm still waiting for at least a "hello". I figured there was an issue with the intercom in my spot so I decided to go to the drive-thru. At the drive-thru, two cars placed their order and moved on to pay. I pulled up to the intercom and no one greets me nor asks for my order. Am I imagining this? After waiting 10 minutes I decided to call inside the store. The "manager" informed me that they were having system issues and didn't know I was waiting. I asked if she could take my order since now she knows I'm waiting in the drive-thru. She refused. I waited another 10 minutes and still no one communicates in the drive-thru. While on the phone with customer service, I moved my car up and waited to see what would happen with the car behind me. Lo and behold, they were immediately greeted and order taken. I'm still wondering what I did to be treated in this manner, but I'm at a loss. All I did was pull up and wait for my order to be taken. I will make no assumptions. To Sonic Staff/Manager: I pray that you never experience the treatment you gave me today. I pray that God will bring people into your life that will show you how to be and do better. read more

Worst. Sonic. Ever. The Ice cream and milk shakes came melted and unlabeled despite it being 40 degrees. We asked the employee which were which and he shrugged and walked away. Additionally, the cheesecake in the milkshake tasted like it was no longer safe to be eaten. Most of us left feeling sick to our stomach. The only redeeming thing about this experience was that they gave us paper towels after the liquidated ice cream spilled all over our car like Niagara Falls. read more

Absolutely horrible!!! First off took them at least 45 minutes waiting in line for our order to finally arrive- and of course they messed up everything... Got a cheeseburger instead of breakfast burritos and with an order that is suppose to be the ultimate meat breakfast burrito you would think that you would receive some meat!! Our visit was awesome! Food was hot and sooooo good! Our carhop was Mariah and we received a check back by 2 other carhops as well! My kids love this restraint as well and we all left happy! Pleasant surprise!!!! Family and I grabbed lunch here today at 12:45 pm. We ordered 3 of the #1 combos (cheese burgers) and a corn dog combo. The burgers were delicious!!! The lettuce, tomato, and onions were all fresh. Burgers were cooked perfectly. The boy's corn dog was good. It must have been, I didn't hear a word out of him for at least 2 minutes. Have been multiple times where they are more concerned with an order's speed over accuracy. From undercooked items, to reheated items to appear fresh, burnt items and missing. They have items which you cannot get from regular fast food, yet I have to stop coming by when I am in the area. Their ice cream options and beverages remain tasty. read more
