2 for 1 draft tonight, started with the eggrolls, wasn't too sure about that in a BBQ place but they were actually good!! Always liked this Sonny's

    Not true I bet!

I went to high school down the road in Altha and have two cousins who put themselves through school working at this Sonny's. Our family has always had a good experience here and many family meals together over the years. I'm only writing this review due to the lack of caring amongst the staff and management that has made it to where we will never return to this location. They simply do not care about the guest experience. My Dad was friends with Sonny Tillman back when he was alive and started this business in Gainesville, FL on Waldo Rd. He would be so disappointed by the drop off in customer service. I tried my best to get a partial refund only for the food that was gross and to not give them a negative review during these tough times. I reached out to their Twitter team twice before they forwarded my message to the GM of the restaurant. I spent over two weeks asking for a refund with this person through text only to get the run around. This showed me the customer experience at this particular Sonny's isn't up to par. So disappointed, not just a bad meal but the end of a family tradition. I have spent over 25 years coming here and you have lost a loyal customer because you don't care about the people aspect of the restaurant business.

    Pulled pork on garlic bread

I've never had anything like this. I was surprised we don't have this in Texas esp with the garlic toast bread. That's what really made it for me. The bread was crispy, light, fluffy, buttery and garlicy. The meats were tender and the bbq sauce on there was sweet/tangy. Just how I liked. There were other bbq sauces at the table which were cleaned in between guests use and the staff was very health conscious. Would love to come back and try other foods

    Grilled cheese brisket sandwich

Staff was friendly, the food was bland. Got the new grilled cheese brisket and the meat was lacking. More bread than meat.

Per the kids, they have the best hamburger in Marianna.

We saw a billboard off the highway for this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. Location is a little unsuspecting because it is dark and next to a dollar tree, but the interior is quite large and well decorated. We were seated right away, and the server gave us chips and salsa immediately. The chips were nice and fresh and warm, and the salsa was fantastic. ServerO is great. He gave us good recommendations and said that everything that has a hat on the menu is usually their most popular. As for the food, we ordered the fajitas mix. I had chicken, beef, and shrimp for two. It is about $27 and came with a lot of food. Definitely not for two, maybe even three. The rice plate came with rice, beans, avocado, as well as two sets of tortillas, which is about three each. It came in a serving plate and was overall pretty good. Would recommend getting again for the amount of food and the taste. We also ordered the torta. Unfortunately, for this one, it wasn't that great. The torta is just a sandwich, pretty much, with whatever kind of meat you have inside and some tomatoes and lettuce. We got the carne asada, but it was super dry and chewy. Would not recommend the carne asada and the torta. This one was about $13, I believe. In total, it was around 55 with tax and tip for a party of 4, so it was actually pretty well priced. We left pretty full, so I would recommend, but wouldn't say it was the best food we have had but good enough for us on the road drive back.

I can assure you should not miss restaurant. The ambience is perfect Moroccan culture down to the red soap, dispensers and papertowels, and sinks in the restroom. I did not think it looked like a restaurant from the outside. The prices are truly surprisingly low for the quality of the food. The shish kebabs meet was tender, the rice was delicious. The lamb leg melted in your mouth. The hummus was delicious, the pita bread was fresh. I could have eaten more of the wonderful and very tasty in grape leaves, which had a little spicy. This place needs to be on your list to try. I understand it maybe a long way however, if you want, real Mediterranean Morocco food this is a place to go. If you know anything about middle eastern, Turkish or Mediterranean food this place doesn't have the flavor. Had the chicken shawarma and it's made from chicken fingers, the fattoush was a bit of a joke it was iceberg lettuce (lol) and not one touch of sumac. While the food was meh I wouldn't call this Mediterranean by any stretch of the imagination. If I didn't know Mediterranean maybe it would somehow fool me. Buddy had the lamb shank and it was tender but completely bland. Sorry, won't be back.

It seems that their familiar logo beckons in all of its bright yellow neon glory road-weary travelers, partying college kids, parents with kids in tow, hungry workers seeking a casual and quick sit-down meal and just about everyone else from every walk of life. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. For my main course, I have usually gone with their patty melts or one of their egg breakfast options. I myself can see the strangeness that I have never had a waffle in a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. It seems that they are on almost every major highway exit ramp and strategically placed throughout most cities and towns in the southeast. If you see one, give them a try.

The staff was friendly but would have liked for them to explain about the plastic cup situation instead of me asking if the cups are only plastic and why. The turkey is cut across the grain. As a result it chips which is fantastic because most of the time it sliced like lunch meat. The loaded mashed potatoes are were very good but half way through I was over the flavor. I could have gotten white gravy but opted out. Could have made the flavor balance out more. French fries tasted like fresh cut and the seasoning was fantastic but salty for my taste. The texture was so good tho! Mac and Cheese tasted like a velveeta cheese base. Very southern in elite texture-gooey. The banana pudding did not have bananas but they use banana flavored pudding. I did not miss the bananas with that pudding. Loaded with the right amount of wafers. Hubby said his brisket was a 7. We did not smell smoke or see it coming out of a smoke stack so not sure if it is smoked in house. This spot is very very busy with locals. Sonny's is down the street and I grew up eating it but would come here any day.

The place is located right on highway 90 in Marianna; their parking lot is ample. Their front and side of the building need a fresh coat of paint though. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were asked for our party number and were seated at a table. The front of the place was being used for dinner that night and the back had their lights off. The waiters were all young men who were dressed in similar clothes resembling a uniform. They were polite and diligent. They have small sushi bar where they make their wonderful rolls. Their menu is large and they offer a variety of dishes from appetizers to bowls, dishes and sushi. Our waiter offered advice on what vegetarian sushi rolls were better and what their ingredients were. We ordered the orange chicken with fried rice and a dish of beef and broccoli with fried rice. We also ordered a hot green tea and sweet tea. The sushi roll was beautifully presented in a ceramic and decorated dish with small bowl for the soy sauce. We asked for chop sticks, which our waiter promptly pulled out of his apron's pocket. The table was clean and set with a fork and spoon, and condiments. The green tea was also presented in a clean, ceramic white teapot with a ceramic cup. Our food came out shortly after presented in delicate cream colored ceramic dishes, which enhanced the food colors and overall presentation. The food was delicious and the portions generous. This place stands out and differs from the traditional Chinese restaurants where they serve a large tray of the main dish and a bowl of rice. We loved their food and overall appearance of the restaurant. The waiters were diligent and polite. We highly recommend UME Japanese and Chinese Restaurant is Marianna, FL.
