Wow, I know if you are not visiting the Florida caverns state park; which, everyone should you would probably miss this restaurant. Unless you're local to this area. I can assure you should not miss restaurant. The ambience is perfect Moroccan culture down to the red soap, dispensers and papertowels, and sinks in the restroom. I did not think it looked like a restaurant from the outside. The prices are truly surprisingly low for the quality of the food. The shish kebabs meet was tender, the rice was delicious. The lamb leg melted in your mouth. The hummus was delicious, the pita bread was fresh. I could have eaten more of the wonderful and very tasty in grape leaves, which had a little spicy. This place needs to be on your list to try. I understand it maybe a long way however, if you want, real Mediterranean Morocco food this is a place to go. Went last evening for dinner. Wonderful and inviting atmosphere. Loved the soft music and having the ability to have a soft conversation with my group. If you know anything about middle eastern, Turkish or Mediterranean food this place doesn't have the flavor. Had the chicken shawarma and it's made from chicken fingers, the fattoush was a bit of a joke it was iceberg lettuce (lol) and not one touch of sumac. While the food was meh I wouldn't call this Mediterranean by any stretch of the imagination. If I didn't know Mediterranean maybe it would somehow fool me. Wow! We were waiting to get into our times entry into the caves right next door and this place had good reviews and was 5 mins away so I thought.. what could possibly go wrong? This family owned restaurant is such a gem in an incredibly small town! The food came out quickly and although the pics don't do it justice, the flavors were amazing. All ingredients were very fresh and tasty... just wish it was closer to home so I could go more often! With not a lot of food options in Marianne, Fl I was excited to see a Mediterranean place. The food was delicious and I enjoyed falafel as that is my favorite! Their cucumber sauce was supposed to be tzatziki but didn't really come close. I could tell this was a family joint and they worked hard. Now, the service was..well he was kind but slow! He had a table of 8 (my table) and another table of 2 and that seemed like too much. It took us 20 mins to get our checks which I'm sorry, that is too long! Not sure if he was new or just maybe serving wasn't his thing. The owner or manager came to check on us but would have been nice to see him help the waiter move quicker. That made me sad honestly. EXCELLENT Mediterranean Cuisine! What a wonderful find in this small town of Marianna. Don't let the exterior turn you off the interior is quite quaint. I started out with the Moroccan Tea which was wonderful. After we were seated by our server the owner did come by and greet us as well as provide several menu options. My husband opted for the Mixed Grill and I the Moussaka both suggested by the owner. They did not disappoint. We consider ourselves Foodies so it takes a lot to impress us. We stopped here for dinner while traveling, it was a few miles from I10 and definitely worth the extra time. We had the mixed sampler for an appetizer and loved all 3. My husband ordered the grilled lamb chops which is their signature dish and I had the Chicken Glabah, both were served with a small salad, rice, hummus, pita bread and again both were very delicious. For dessert we ordered the Nadya and Basbousa, both were good but the Nadya was my favorite it, it had the flavor of an ice cream sandwich and the Basbousa tasted kind of like a coconut macaroon. The only waiter was very nice, fast and constantly busy. The pictures look like a fancy place but it is casual. Plenty of parking. When we visited there was only 2 people eating and later 3 more came in but not many people at all. Our food came out extremely fast and was hot and tasted fresh! Completely unexpected for the area and very unassuming from the outside. Don't let that deter you. I don't expect or demand to be wowed by the external appearance, however, if I can make a strong suggestion to the owner to pay greater attention to maintenance to the exterior so that it doesn't look closed, would be of benefit to their bottom line. All your standard delicious Mediterranean fare plus a refreshing lemon and mint "slushie" to top it off. Falafel app was perfectly spiced. Reasonable portion sizes and a great value overall as it didn't break the bank. When heading through that area, I will definitely make a point to eat and imbibe there again. read more

Presentation was unique per plate and the Sammy, the owner, is very personable and fun to chat with. This is for sure a place to vist, and revisit. My only critique is the paper napkins. We happened upon this restaurant due to needing lunch before hitting the caverns. We had no idea what kind of restaurant this was and were pleasantly surprised. I was thrilled to find out that they had 4 vegetarian items and my husband was happy to see that they served burgers. Unfortunately I did not get a photo of the menu, but I orders the vegetarian potato and veggie item. It was very good and filling. I would have liked a bit less oil, but other than that, I could not find anything to complain about. And the price point was spot on. My husband said his burger had indian spices and was the best burger he had ever had. It was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant and go back if we lived locally. read more

There's not a lot of restaurants in the Marianna area. Take away the fast food restaurants and that number drops to just a handful. This restaurant is one of those few. Located on the north side of town, you can easily miss the entrance to this place. The driveway and parking lot pavement are in need of repair, but they're not too bad. I tried this place for lunch with a coworker that had already eaten here before. The place was empty except for just one other table. My coworker said she's seen the parking lot full around dinner. The inside was much nicer looking than the outside. Not quite fine dining but close in appearance. It looked like there was some patio tables too but I'm not 100% sure if they're used. I believe this restaurant is described as serving Mediterranean. I decided to try the Glabah (chose beef)...which I had no idea what it was. Turned out to be spiced beef (w/vegetables), rice, hummus & pita bread, and a salad meal. I tried finding this dish on the internet but couldn't...maybe they're spelling the dish name differently. The beef portion was pretty good. The rest was pretty average. Coke is served here...sorry Pepsi fans. Staff was really nice. But our server was not checking on us as often as he should have...for example, he never ask or refilled our drinks. Prices are reasonable but I felt I should have gotten a little more. Also, there were a couple chunks of gristle in the meat that weren't edible. So this place is better than most for the given area. But in comparison to similar restaurants that I've been to, it's just average in my opinion. But maybe other dishes are more their specialty. I have no objections to dining here again, but suggest you try and judge for yourself. read more

When we got to the restaurant, it wasn't busy and we thought it was closed. We noticed it was in fact open, so we went in, were greeted and seated. It was a party of 7, and the drinks came out quickly. Our order was taken and the food came out as it was prepared. We ordered soups, shrimp, rice, wings, shwarma, chicken and rice, burgers, and desserts. All of the food was delicious. The restaurant also had a few more customers by the time we were done, and that made me happy because the food is so good, I wanted others to experience it as well. The owner/chef even came out to check on us and gave us an extra dessert. He gave all of the credit to his wife for the amazing food. This is a bit Turkish style. This family own and operated restaurant. The owner paid a lot of attention to details. The place is really clean and pleasant. I can said it is fine dinning for the area. I got the lamb kabab and my friend got the beef burger. His burger is halal and great for him because he only can eat this meat halal. The lamb kabab meat is tender. Hummus and rice were part of the combo of the dish. The marinated is good through the meat. I would try their lamb chop next time. The steak in the Schwarma was soft and extremely delicious. My wife got the chicken and rice and stated it was one of the best dishes that we ever had on vacation. The restaurant is very clean and organized. The server brought out the food quickly. The owner/chef cares alot about the quality of the food and he is such a sincere and humble person. Wow! This unassuming place off by the caverns serves up some really good food. Very clean interior with an Arabic grill and American classics if you have picky eaters. We went on a weekend mid day and sadly there was not much business. I don't see why because the food was spot on. We got The Mixed Appetizer which was phenomenal. The falafel was crispy and flavorful, the the grape leaves were yummy but the one we really enjoyed was the Sambousa. A little Arabic egg roll that was lightly fried and crispy with fresh filling. You can tell they are making these things with love in house. We then split a Gyro. I wish we were hungrier because we would have ate more. It was all good and reasonably priced. Wow I have no idea who reviewed with 5 stars but I was so disappointed. There was a person playing music at club volume inside the door. We ordered gyro and chicken shawarma. The food came out separately on a weekend night the meal was not served together. What we got was gyro meat cold and what looked like cut up lunch meat. The chicken was just a breast cut in random sized pieces and pan fried. I'm just not sure if the owner decided we don't know better or just doesn't know how to cook the menu. So Bad!
