I have been going to Sonny's Nail Shop for over a year. I was referred by a family member. I am still satisfied with their work done on me. They do a fantastic job on my pedicure and manicure. One treatment I requested a white hand-painted flower, done by Matriarch - I loved it! She painted a perfect solo white flower on the big toe, with an awesome pink tone nail polish. So pretty! I'm disabled, all the workers are very considerate of my condition. If you like being the center of attention and being pampered; go during off-peak hours. Yesterday, Van used the embroidery method on my eyebrows. They look absolutely stunning! This was my first experience with permanent makeup or any tattooing. Van was very careful to numb me and tell me each step of the way. Result.....I have the eyebrows I've always wanted. I am so very pleased. This is my first time using this salon. My first time coming here and I got there at a good time in the early afternoon so I didn't have to wait. Sydney (sorry if I misspelled it) saw me immediately. I had got my nails done before and they had done them improperly and she fixed them and took her time and care. I booked an appointment here for my eyebrows, pedicure and manicure for my boyfriends little sister. What was suppose to be a good time turned out to be a long wait of soaking my feet for 30 minutes after scheduling an appointment. Once my pedicure started I was asked if I wanted my calluses done for $5 ??? Never have I ever had a pedicure where they told me I was going to be charged extra for something that comes with a standard pedicure. I've never been asked this kind of question before . I told the women no I did not want to pay $5 for it . She then spoke another language to women next to me and began doing something I disagreed on paying for . I'm disappointed in this place today. I've been here a few times in the past . Mainly to get my eyebrows done. I'll probably just stick to that for here on out . 5 dollars extra to perform a step that is already apart of a standard pedicure is ridiculous also disappointed in how my eyebrows turned out read more

My daughter went here for eyelash extensions. I would never recommend going here for that service. They are not trained in eyelash extensions. My daughter told the technician what she wanted and even showed her a picture. She got something totally different. When they were complete she asked my daughter if she liked them and both my daughter and I said no they are too short and much too thick. The technician said she would not adjust them. We paid for eyelash extensions which are SINGLE eyelashes attached to each one of your lashes. We received CLUMPS of lashes that had so much glue on them you could see it. We went to another salon to have them taken off and will never go back there. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! service is terrrible. spent 95$ on eyelash extensions here that FELL OFF THE NEXT DAY. Asked if i could get my money back from the terrible service i was given and was told no refunds! Do not waste your money here. Took almost over 4 hours to complete a job that should've only taken less than 2 hours. The glue the lady was using was clearly bad because lash extensions can last up to 3 weeks if not more. read more

Have been going to Sonny's for last few months. Best service I have had in N. Melbourne area. Kim is amazing. Does fantastic job with both Manicures as well as Pedicures. Never feel rushed. Always treated with great respect. Clean salon, watched Julia clean Pedi chair, and she did as through a job as I have seen any Medical Professional clean an exam room in an ED or MD' s office, and I was looking closely. All staff are professional, friendly and accommodating. I previously got my nails done in NW Washington DC on a regular basis, and this salon is on par with my salon in DC. Gel manicure is 6 days old now, and still looks great. Very satisfied. Went to four salons in Melbourne before I found this one that meets my very particular demands. I went into get a full set of SNS nails. Once I was with technician I ask if we could just do this over my own nails and was informed that would be fine. I was still charged the full $45.00 and was told halfway through that if I wanted a manicure that was not included in the price. I was quite shocked at that, if this is your first time and you are being charged for a full set, the manicure should be included. read more

I love this little gem of a salon! Hanna and Cindi are very professional. People are always complimenting me on my nails. I get SNS and it looks great for weeks between fills. I drive 30 minutes to sonny's even though there are many closer salons to my house. It's well worth the trip. read more
