After grooming shows his beautiful face

Support this local business! I went to Sonny's with sweet 10month old Clarence. He desperately needed a cut his look was out of control as you can see in the pictures. The groomer was so careful and kind with Clarence... Clarence was excited and happy after the groom. Clarence also had a bit of an accident in the grooming room, and everybody was very kind about It The cost is beyond reasonable... The folks are friendly... The location is convenient I don't have one negative thing to say about these folks just a great local business that should be supported

Baron was very happy with his visit!

This was our first time getting our dog groomed and couldn't be happier! His grooming team was ready and waiting for him when we arrived. Everyone seemed very friendly and welcoming. When I picked him up he looked amazing and they had even done a few extra things to make sure that he looked great! The prices are reasonable and Baron even got a chance to hang out with other dogs and play for a bit. I couldn't be happier with our grooming and socialization experience at Sonny's.

    Lillo's Bottom

I am at a loss for words. Not only am I hurt and saddened to see my dog traumatized, but I am so infuriated with everyone who works here at Sonny's. I'm saying now, if you truly love your pet please don't take them here! On July 1 I took my beautiful Lillo, a 5-month golden-doodle, to get groomed here. I was visiting my grandparents and this place was nearby and seemed trustworthy, but I was wrong. I asked for Lillo to get full grooming. I wanted to her have a teddy bear cut with a lower cut on her legs. The girl asked if I wanted her fluffy and I responded with yes. I gave her two reference pictures one a picture of Lillo with her haircut I liked and the other one of a picture online. Lillo was not matted and I've never had a problem with matting with her and other groomers have said she behaved well with them. Then I left her there. When they called saying she was finished, they mentioned her haircut was not the best since Lillo misbehaved. I picked her up right away and I paid first because the girl was waiting for me to pay first then she would get Lillo. So I paid and then I received Lillo. I received Lillo and didn't even recognize her. My fluffy beautiful girl wasn't fluffy anymore. Lillo was shaved. I was at a loss for words and immediately left. When my father saw Lillo he said no that it isn't right to pay for something like this that we didn't ask for nor needed since she wasn't matted. Lillo's fur was cut unevenly and had bald spots. They had cut her eyelashes as well. My father called to get a refund and speak to the owner and the staff was very rude. They hung up on him. A few minutes pass by and the owner called and allowed us to have a refund. The owner also mentioned taking her back to the groomers to let someone else groom her, but of course, we denied the offer. We decided we wouldn't write a review. I thought this was the end of it, but unfortunately, it wasn't. I started noticing Lillo was not being herself she was so quiet and mean. She was also licking herself more often than usual. She was also biting on herself. Not only that, but I noticed some razor burns. At the time only a few were visible and small. As a few hours pass by I was going to bed with Lillo when I had seen her burns. I was brought to tears. My poor baby had razor burns and cuts all over her body and they had become more visible. She had dry blood on her behind. Her stool was also not solid. This is no longer about a haircut, but the injuries that Lillo has. Who knows what they had done to Lillo! Lillo has been extremely different ever since leaving Sonny's Place. I hope no pet owner has to deal with this, but if you see this review, please think twice before you take your pet here! The photos below are of Lillo before and after and of her burns and cuts. her before photo was just 2 days prior to her grooming.

I want to start off by saying that I hardly ever leave negative reviews, but I felt like my experience on 03/05/22 must be told to future customers. I took my one-year-old toy poodle in to get groomed ( bath, nails trimmed, etc.). I was explaining to the receptionist (who at the time I thought would be doing the grooming) that I would like to cut my dog's fur down low but not too low that you can see his skin ( since I know how my fur is) she recommend using a blade four. I said okay, but if it's too low that you can see the skin, then please don't use that level. I also stated that my dog had a hard time staying still. Ms.Martha (at the time of the appointment, I didn't know who she was) asked if I wanted his face cleaned up and, in my eyes, cleaned up means trimmed. Since I have taken him to other groomers and they used the same term, I thought, yes, please clean up his face. Fast forward, when it comes time to pick my dog up, he looks nothing like himself. The young lady (receptionist) asked if I liked his haircut, and I said NO. I was highly upset about how my dog looked. I was too upset to talk at the moment, so I waited until today to call and tell them about my experience. Mrs. Martha was very rude and stated that " if $55 means that much to you, then you can come and get your money back and never come back to her place of business again". In my mind, I am saying that I never wanted to come back anyway based on the experience I had. It saddens me to leave a negative review, but I felt like I needed to. Not because of the experience I had but from the choice of words she the owner chose to use towards me. Below I will post some before and after of my dog. Post response to Mrs. Martha. Me saying that I was going to post a negative review was not a threat. I was letting you know before I posted the review. Yelp is a open platform for people to leave reviews whether positive or negative. So I don't know where a threat comes into play. Mrs. Martha are you implying that I don't take for of my dog? Because I recently took him to the vet ( and if you were present at the time of the appointment I told the receptionist that he recently had a vet visit and has allergies) and is currently being treated for it. And could we please leave our personnel opinions out to the post about my caretaking skills for my dog that's unprofessional. When I went to the establishment today you said it had taken you about 2 hours where exactly did the extra hour come from? Yes Mrs. Martha did refund my money but that's after a detailed conversation on the phone. What she didn't add is that she said she wasn't going to give me my money back and there was nothing further she could do. But Mrs. Martha I wish you the best. Thank you.

Great name as they are the BEST pet sitters I've had for my 3 dogs…read more Elodie and Moe are spectacular. I am a neurotic owner of 3 dogs and just used them for the first time while my wife and I were out of town for a week. Each one of my dogs has a different personality and they dealt with all of them well; even my newer pup who barked at them forever the first day. I got several photos and videos each day showing my dogs playing, eating, etc. They administered pills and were able to walk all 3 of mine at once. You can really tell they are not just doing a job but really love the animals. Hire these people. They will be my default pet sitting from now on.

Unfortunately we can no longer recommend Leila Knows Best for dog boarding. We were frequent and…read moreloyal clients for years, but the relationship changed over the last 10 months as Moe increasingly focused on how to extract more money from us instead of cultivating a continued positive client relationship. It started with less and less updates and photos when we boarded our dog. When Moe did provide updates it was usually in conjunction with an offer to purchase credits for future stays (which we did and later came to regret). Then Moe started asking us to pay additional fees for stays we had previously negotiated and paid for, going so far as to request those additional fees while he was already watching our dog. This behavior started to make us feel uncomfortable in continuing to use his services and more concerned about leaving our dog in his care. Moe's behavior did not present as someone thankful to clients that consistently supported his dog watching business. We had been loyal clients for years and, this year in particular, had already used Moe's services nearly every month with more scheduled trips through the rest of the year. Despite our concerns, we continued to use Moe's services since we had pre-paid for two more stays through the end of the year. That changed when we requested to reschedule one of the stays. Well in advance of the trip, we asked Moe if he was available for a week the month before our trip. He confirmed he was, but when we requested to reschedule our original trip to that earlier week and use the pre-paid credit, Moe stated he was no longer available. When we referred him to the cancellation policy on his website, he offered the credit, but wouldn't let us use it until the end of the year. We reminded Moe that in the years we've consistently used his services, we have never rescheduled, and explained the importance of rescheduling our trip. Moe subsequently offered to board our dog for the requested week, but wanted an additional $150, despite our pre-paid credit exceeding the amount of time we were rescheduling for. We felt hustled and tried to handle this issue privately, but Moe stopped responding to us. Unfortunately we have lost over $1,000 in pre-paid and unused credit--a costly mistake that we won't be making again. We're sad that our relationship soured in this way, but we could no longer trust Moe and would suggest prospective clients be cautious about doing business with him.

    Dogtopia - Taking a bath

    Dogtopia

Unfortunately, I can't recommend Dogtopia to any dog owner…read more My dog came home smelling like urine on multiple occasions, contracted kennel cough more than once, and repeatedly came home with deep gashes on her side. Our vet bills became astronomical. Every time I asked what happened, I got the same response: "We don't know." Then came the excuses--she "probably ran into a wall." Once is an accident. Multiple times is a pattern. (Picture of her cut attached) When my dog was injured, there were never any real answers. Conveniently, the cameras always seemed to be unavailable whenever an incident occurred. Instead of transparency or accountability, I was met with excuses. The most heartbreaking part was watching my dog's personality change. She went from eagerly walking into daycare to planting herself on the floor and refusing to go into the back with staff. She had to be physically coaxed forward because she clearly didn't want to go. As her owner, it was obvious she was stressed. The customer service was just as concerning as the care. Marla was consistently defensive, dismissive, and unwilling to take accountability. I personally witnessed her raising her voice at customers, and I experienced that same treatment myself. It wasn't an isolated bad interaction--it was a pattern. She went as far as telling me that our dog "is a rescue, so it's not surprising she's a bad dog" Absolutely horrible and concerning for someone who's job is working with dogs from all backgrounds. There were also numerous times when our calls went unanswered, yet someone would immediately pick up if we called from a different phone number. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling like our concerns were being avoided. What I cannot understand is why Jeff allows this level of customer service to represent his business. The way concerns were handled reflected a culture of excuses instead of accountability. The difference after leaving Dogtopia was night and day. We found a facility and trainer that prioritized structure, safety, and individualized care. Today, my dog is confident, relaxed, and genuinely excited to go to daycare. Looking back, I regret not leaving Dogtopia sooner. This was, without question, the worst experience I've ever had with a pet care business. If your dog can't tell you when something is wrong, you have to trust the people caring for them. Unfortunately, Dogtopia gave me every reason not to.

If I could give negative stars I would. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for your pets…read morecare because whatever you're saving by taking your dog here will be paid ten times over in vet bills. They don't have enough staff for the amount of dogs in their care. I should've known better when the stench of urine slapped me in the face on my first visit but I assumed a dog just recently had an accident. WRONG!! It always smells like that in there. If they don't care enough to do something about that smell as a first impression, they don't care about the business or its customers.
