My partner and I have toured with Ellen and Devin twice now, in both Napa and Sonoma. This last time we also took my son, who is the world's biggest critic. Here's what you can expect: 1. Gear. They've got you covered with L2 meters and dowsing rods; however, if you're a ghost hunting nerd like my boyfriend, you're welcome to bring your own. All devices work as expected, and the hosts are careful to explain how electricity from street lights, etc. can interfere. All guests are directed to place their phones on airplane mode (I did this with my Apple Watch as well) 2. History. These are historical tours and the hosts have done their research to provide an authentic educational experience. 3. Participation. You are part of the experience and will be asked to communicate directly with spirits! Both times we had a unique and fun experience. Devin and Ellen were great hosts. We arrived and met them at the big Oak tree and right off the bat they were welcoming and comfortable to talk with. We flew in from Seattle and it was our first stop for our Valentine's day getaway and what a great start! This was without a doubt the most amazing ghost tour I have ever been on and honestly will probably ever be on. Forget other ghost tour claims- Savannah's claims as the most haunted city in America didn't hold a candle to this ghost tour in Sonoma. I have told SO many people about this experience! I knew this was not your typical ghost tour where you walk around hearing historical stories with some spooky details thrown in as soon as Devin began talking. He passed around dousing rods and K2 meters, and he began explaining what the tour would look like. We would be directly engaging with spirits- and he definitely delivered! We walked from location to location, using the variety of tools that were at our disposal thanks to Devin. We had a small party and, unfortunately, Ellen was not available that night- but Devin gave us a unique and intimate glimpse into the spirit world of Sonoma. Phenomenal! Without telling you too much and spoiling some of the experiences, I will say this- my best friend was very emotionally impacted by one spirit whose messages brought her to tears, my sister received an electronic zap on her palm from another, she and I both felt someone playing with our hair, we had a light hearted interaction with a Casanova, and my best friend and I both saw the same spirit in our mind's eye. Fantastic By Far The Best Ghost Tour! I have been interested in the paranormal for awhile now, ten years or more. My husband and I love to travel around the country and when we are on vacation, we'll hop on a ghost tour and learn some history of the city along the way. We've been on a handful of ghost walks. Wow! What an exciting night! By far the best ghost tour my family and I have ever been on. I took my 16 year old son for a Ghost Walk with Devin and Ellen on the Sonoma Plaza. We both loved the history and stories we learned. This tour was a delight. I am not a believer in anything religious nor "ghost," but none of that matters for this tour. Devin is so engaging, so charismatic and just so funny. He has a great sense of humor, too, when it comes to the guests' humorous comments. Regardless of how you feel about ghosts, the supernatural, etc., you can enjoy this tour immensely. Devin seems to approach his tour with "sincerity with a wink." The tour describes some horrific deaths that happened in Sonoma, and those are treated respectfully. This was the coolest experience I've had in long time. My best friends birthday was happening and we had found a deal for tickets on Groupon and oh my god. First of all they have REAL TOOLS you can use like they do in the ghost hunting television shows. Not only do they do a great job telling you stories and the history of the site but you are really interacting with ghosts I truly couldn't believe it.
