A necessary evil. To begin with, I've experienced friendlier customer service at the DMV and post office! The staff doesn't smile, doesn't greet you, has no empathy (we are sick by the way), and doesn't realize they have a job because you are there. However, lab referrals keep coming in and they couldn't care less. Can't call as you leave the doctor's office for an "immediate" lab exam, voice mail directs you to the website to sign up for an appointment - a few days later. Walk-ins welcome though, however me thinks they are stretching the "welcome" part of that equation. It is more like "tolerated." If it wasn't that I was on a time crunch, I would had ventured to a different lab for the needed tests. Upon entering the facility, with limited signage as opposed to all the other businesses in the complex, you are coldly directed to one of the dirty iPads on the walls to sign in. Fortunately there's Purell on the wall so you at least hope you didn't pick up a new disease while trying to log in. You are then told that your name will be on the monitor so you can see how long the wait is - yeah, doesn't work. As you wait you will see signs on the wall for no cell phone use, but that doesn't stop one obnoxious person after another loudly describing their medical prognosis or making weekend plans for the world to hear. Yet no staff member says anything. One of these rude patients even walked in to the lab area yapping on the phone when called. Not even a mention to end the call. Ditto for the techs. I wonder they get hire these robots. I guess they never heard that smiling is infectious as they've never tried it. I'll do my best never to go back to this location again. But it's so darn close.. Wow. I got here at 5:50am. They don't open til 6.. There was already an 15 person line outside the door. I was number 9. They opened the doors at 6:01, and by 6:25, I was called back and taken care of! Excellent service. Nikki drew my blood and she is truly a blessing! read more

I have to give props to the staff here. We had an appointment, got checked in quickly and taken back quickly. But the props go to the phlebotomist and her coworker. My daughter started to feel nauseous and eventually passed out. They acted quickly and were just so awesome! I can't say thank you enough. She is feeling much better read more

I'll admit, I never remember to book an online appointment- so perhaps I shouldn't complain about to 2 hour long wait times that I've had on my last 2 visits. However, it seems worth mentioning that you log in via a kiosk and tablet, your human contact during the check in process is a grumpy and harried individual that just wants your insurance card and copay, and the phlebotomists are on the young/inexperienced side and seem to turn over quickly and need customer service training. Gone are the days of "establishing customer connections" to create a great customer experience.... read more

Sonora Quest Labs is not run as smoothly as it could. Understand the request for lab work is huge and there are signs they try to deal with it. But for a recording that tells you it is faster to go online for an appointment, their online page is full of problems. It is not only slower but usually freezes at some point thereby making online appointments impossible. And does anyone listen to what Sonora records for you on the phone. The messages suddenly lower the volume to you cannot hear it anyway. Unprofessional and shows that the company doesn't want to make it better. You are forced to find a walk-in office that does not require you wait in line outside before they open and then inside to sign in and wait. Mine was 40 minutes to be called and then 15 more for the bloodwork. Most people have no choice as many as fasting. So it's starve until 9:30 or more,.... or stand in line with your sciatica pulsing away. 2 stars read more

Called to make an appointment by reading specifically was on my lab order "arterial blood gasses....etc.", and explained my difficulty in finding a clinic that performed this procedure. I had called five other locations prior to this. I was assured they could do this and an appointment was set. Location in Google maps was wrong, so thankfully I planned to arrive early. When arriving for my appointment, I was informed they don't perform this procedure. My concern is that they have personnel scheduling appointments without understanding which procedures they actually perform, even when it was read verbatim, and there was no regard for correcting that issue. I can't speak to their actual services and level of care which may be great; I just know I had a bad experience and caution against trusting the scheduling dept. based on other reviews, it may be best to just look elsewhere for services. This place deserves less than 1 star. My OB sent me here for some lab work. They are understaff with phlebotomists for 1, and for 2 corporate should look into getting friendlier front staff. Got here a little before 1:30, still hadn't been called back by 3:30. Just an FYI they take priority over appointments. You could be sitting there for 2 hours, an apt would run late check in late and they'd still take them before you. I've never experienced a place that is ran like this ever. Very poorly ran. This location is a Laboratory Sciences of Arizona lab as well. They don't even know this! I had to argue with GetLabs to deliver here per my insurance requirements and they kept saying we don't drop blood work off to laboratory sciences of Arizona, we only drop blood work off at Quest labs. This company is a joke. Came in to drop off a sample, they no joke lost it and lied about it. After both the nurse and I validate the my name, dob and we sign for the sample, they call 2 weeks later to say "we don't accept that kind of sample here" then provide a call back a day later to say that "the sample had the wrong date of birth on it so it was invalid". I requested a callback from a manager, never happened. I wouldn't trust them to give me a bandaid. read more

I came in a couple months ago to get my blood drawn, I keep forgetting to leave a review but I feel the need to because I had such a great experience. I came in nervous because I have never been a fan of needles or getting my blood drawn but Sedona made it a very pleasant and comfortable experience. She was very sweet and comforted me when I was feeling uneasy, it wouldn't have been the same without her. I went in terrified, but it turned out to be a surprisingly pleasant experience. read more

The facility is nice, but the wait times are ridiculous. I went in early in the morning and the wait was an hour. They told me that it was because the snowbirds were in town. I have visited this place thrice in the last 3 months. Once for me, once for my wife and once for my daughter. I can tell you with utmost confidence that they have the best front desk staff as well as very courteous lab techs. I have experienced and have seen other customers also experience best in class service. The staff are very friendly, clear, quick as much as possible. With more customers pouring in, the wait time gets a bit higher, but they do their best to provide quality service. I would recommend them, especially in their new location. I could give zero stars, I would! After checking in, and selecting the option to be texted when it was my turn, I went down to my truck to wait so my phone could be charged. I was told that it would be about 25 minutes to wait may be shorter. After waiting 35 minutes I walked back upstairs to find the door locked. The lady then went on to lie to me telling me that she texted me when she didn't. They never called me, they never texted me. The second person who worked there, a gentleman then told me that they didn't text me confirming that the woman was indeed lying. He then said it is their policy to only see people that are in the office in the doors by 3 PM. He is the very same person who checked me in, and neglected to tell me this when I selected the choice that they provided which was to be texted when it was my turn. The front desk personnel at the Val Vista location are so extremely rude! They weren't just rude to me they were rude and unprofessional to everyone that walked in. I have been to other SQ locations in the valley and never have I been greeted without a smile or a hello. Just an interruption and a sign in sit down response. Maybe your employees should be reminded that they're in the "customer service field" and if they don't enjoy working with the public than they need to find another line of work. read more

I must be a glutton for punishment by coming to this location again. This has to be the worst run business I have ever been to 2 hours from check in to actually getting blood work done. I do not understand them having 3 people at counter that seem to not care that waiting room is standing room only. Timed each time a phlebotomist took someone back average was 25 minutes then seemed to be down to one phlebotomist only. I think they enjoy making people wait. Just terrible. Came in early with 10 people in front of me. Fast forward an hour and a half, and I'm first in line for my lab. Of course at this point their system crashes and they only take back people with appointments. I dont think anyone plans on getting a lab to take 2 hours of the day. This was necessary to get that day however. Not sure what they need to do to get though the line quicker. 10 people should not take 2 hours to get blood drawn. Something absolutely needs to change. Severely disappointed in the function of this lab. Would recommend choosing another lab. read more

One thing I can say about SQ labs is that they consistently get it wrong. I booked several months out just to find a time when my husband and I could have back to back appointments so we don't have to sit around and wait. Good thing I looked at my husband's appointment online last night because they changed his time without so much as a phone call or text. I actually checked last night because one other time I scheduled online, they canceled my appointment without telling me, so I lost trust in them. Sure enough, they moved him to 7:30 AM instead of 8:30 AM. So here we are. He's checked in for 7:30 and because I'm early, I am considered a walk in. Without an appointment, I registered, had my blood drawn and was out the door in 30 min. Front desk was professional and focused on the business at hand. Finding a vein in my arm has never been an easy task. People that are not as good as they should be in their profession often try the lame route of trying for the back of my hands. Ashley had me in and out before I realized it and didn't hesitate when finding the vein in my arm. One smooth poke and it was over. Kudos. read more
