This WAS a good place to get blood labs done. The phlebotomists have been good at keeping the experience non-painful and efficient. Management / admin is sorely lacking. Unfortunately a while back they stopped having a receptionist. So if you have a problem, a question, any trouble with the computer check-in, TOO BAD. More than once, the kiosk didn't work and we waited forever until the entire waiting room cleared and refilled. So, if you MUST go here, be sure your (partial) name appears on the TV screen. Some people have resorted to entering their names multiple times just to be sure. So inefficient. Another issue is if you need to drop off a specimen, you also need to sign in and wait. So if the room is full, you SIT and WAIT just to DROP OFF a specimen! When there was a receptionist, it took a minute. Now it can be 30+ minutes! Ridiculous. And OMG after that wait, they CANCELLED the culture from the drop off. How much you bet they CHARGE $$ for that lost test. Useless! Another issue happened when my elderly family member got into the back when I ran out to get paperwork. Returned to a door slammed locked shut. He and the phlebotomist did one lab but didn't remember/know there were two. So he had to get poked 2x. I complained about the lack of receptionist and she said oh just knock (no sign says that's OK!). AND she said it's better without a receptionist and they plan to remove the windows and just make it all walls. So much for HUMAN customer care. Time for us to go elsewhere. The billing department in this laboratory is a complete joke. They keep sending me a bill saying it's past due and they keep changing the cost. First it was $88 due by 5/9, I paid it 5/1. Then I get another text saying I'm about to go to collections for $133 past due. THAT IS MY INSURANCE PORTION THAT THEY DID PAY ON MY PREVIOUS BILL. This is the second time I've dealt with this terrible service. The first time, the bill was $54, paid it. Then got a bill for $1300 which again was my insurance paid portion. This place is a joke. I had been using this lab for years but I just was there today and they are now using a strong perfume air freshener and I left immediately. The place was empty so there wasn't even anyone in the reception area that I could see to let them know I needed to leave and cancel my appointment. So I left the building and went to my car and called the office and still no one answered. I don't know what's going on with that office now. But with that perfume, there's no way I can keep going there. I have asthma and get migraines from strong smells, plus perfume is just very unpleasant and makes me nauseous. Very unfortunate because they were a good lab to go to. read more

Today, 3/18/24 I had a very pleasant walk-in experience. Many many people are not the type that love's Sonora Quest but I'm thinking it's just a bad days experience and not at a whole level. I've not found anyone that likes there blood drawn so I feel one much take the current experience in addition to past experience before just disliking a particular business. So I'll be as far as I always am. (Last experience with this location on 2/19/24) I was a walk-in patient and while I don't really like waiting amongst many others since my health isn't the best at fighting certain germs. So I sit outside in my vehicle and will get a text from this location alerting me it's my turn. After having received my text I promptly went in like normal, I was greeted and brought back to a room fit my blood draw. I know I'm a very hard person to "stick" get any veins to play fair with the techs. So they earn their money with me. Haha. After getting seated and the gal attempting to find the victim vein she found one she liked and gave a great effort but vein 1, tech 0 so far. She attempted a second vein location and now the score is Vein 2, Tech 0. Policy is to have another tech attempt and is common amongst the whole healthcare system and there is a reason for it but that's a while another thing to talk about later why. As I am told by my wife who was still waiting for me out in my vehicle during this whole beginning, Upon the second tech entering the room both techs noticed I was very pale and not talking or responding to them appropriately. Yep I passed out. Just for the record I'm a retired paramedic so blood does not scare me even with it being mine. So they decided they were calling 911 since they knew something wasn't right with me. Upon the arrival of EMS and being loaded up and taken to the hospital I was found to have an internal hemorrhage and required several blood transfusions with surgery. I am very grateful for Sonora Quest and in their abilities to not hesitate in calling for further assistance when they feel it needed and this was such a time. So Sonora you did me good and right! Thank you. -------A follow-up to this visit. Sonora Quest had a person, unknown who, but gave my wife a personal call and asked how I was doing the day after my spectacle I caused. Hahaha (Nothing like being taken out of a business, especially a lab business on a stretcher. I'm betting many others that was waiting in the lobby had a thought or two go through their minds).------- *****Visit today 3/18/24. Surprised to show up for yet another blood draw and found the parking lot almost completely empty. I've never seen this and starting to think they weren't open but thankfully they were. Only 2 others ahead of me which went fairly fast. I was called back in about 10 mins? or so and they were in the midst of training a new young lady and I knowing my veins mouthed that I was a hard stick and the trainer took extra assistance with the trainee. Exceptional training being given if I say so. Being my background and the training so provided I still find myself "training or evaluating the trainees which I shouldn't do". So as normal the trainee was given 2 attempts and then the trainer stepped up to the plate. So far the score of vein to lab tech is 2 to 0. The trainer was a firmer medic as well and I knew id give her a run for her money. Lol. After taking the extra time at finding a donor vein she went in like a mosquito thrusting for blood. It did take her awhile of trying to get the vein to play well/fair which she did get to do. So the score ended up, vein 2, tech 1 with tech still being the winner. As with like the last attempt at labs being taken I was treated very professionally and found to have great techs both times. I personally can not say anything bad about Sonora Quest as others have or do or will do but as I said earlier nobody likes to get there blood drawn and so the interaction is starting off on a negative attitude from the beginning. That's not on Sonora or Labcorp or anyone really to blame for that. Now customer service, that is ok to bash or praise. read more

I went in for blood tests and I won't go back... The tech advised me that several of the tests ordered wouldn't be covered by my insurance and they were expensive. She explained what the tests were for and I declined them on the form she gave me. She was awesome. I subsequently received a bill for these tests in January 2024. I explained that I had declined them, but I was told they had been done. My insurance company was kind enough to absorb some of the cost and I asked Sonora quest if I could pay the balance in 3 monthly payments. I made the 1st payment on January 6, 2024 and I made it a large payment. The second payment was made on February 1st 2024, which left me a $30 balance which I paid in March on the 7th. I had a zero balance with a receipt showing I owed nothing, but today, March 30th 2024, I received a demand from a collection agency dated March 26 2024 saying I owed them money. I looked up my account and it says I have no balance. I''l have to deal with a collections agency on Monday. On top of this, the woman who drew the blood was supposed to get 4 vials of blood. She did 2 of them, then told me she isn't allowed to do more than 3 sticks. I told her she had only done 2 and she hadn't hurt me , so assumed she would do the rest of the blood draws. She stood there for a little bit, then reached out and touched my other arm with her finger and said " that's the 3rd" and she ran from the room. Another person came in and finished the draws and I told her what had happened...she didn't even seem surprised. So the whole experience has been way less than positive. Signed paperwork doesn't mean anything to them and to me that's much worse than a crazy blood tech. I won't go back there every again. The whole experience has been terrible. The ladies at the PV location who take the blood are GREAT! It's when the blood vials go to be processed is where it is NOT GOOD. Husband had a simple blood test done end of Aug 2024 and Sonora Quest contaminated the vial with an instrument. Sonora Quest DID NOT ADVISE us of this! Once we found out, my husband went back for a recollection beginning of Sept 2024. Recollection was done on a Tuesday...and Friday rolls around there are still NO RESULTS! I called many, many, many times only to be told results would be done Thursday..NOPE...NOTHING. Sonora Quest could not even find my husband's vial of blood. Husband could not go to a doctor's appointment he had scheduled for months due do no blood test results. DO NOT USE SONORA QUEST! read more

do not use this lab!!! they took 5 viles of blood from me and lost my blood in transit. it was for pre-employment and i had to take the same blood test at a different hospital!! sonora quest in arizona does not do their tests here. they send them to other states. i cannot believe the incompetence! on top if that, i tried to track down my blood samples myself. i was transferred or given 6 other phone numbers and jone of them could help me. one of the numbers i called would not even release any information to me even though it was my blood! never in my life have i seen such incompetence in a company. even the manager tried to help me and they wouldn't even give her the information. wtf??? read more

Reviews are true. I read the bad reviews for this lab, but went ahead and used them anyway. I have been a long time customer when we lived in Glendale AZ so I thought it would be OK to use them again. I got on the scheduling site and it was easy to update and schedule my appointment for 10 o'clock the next day. They said to show up 15 minutes early to do paper work. Being new to the area I got there at 9:30. The paper work was nothing but photocopy my card. I sat there for 30 minutes in the waiting room with a few people before me, expecting to go in early as they were not busy. I was about to go to the window to ask what the trouble was but at 10:15 I was finally taken in. Not impressed. read more

OMG! Where do I start? I first came in 10-minutes early, to find my doctor sent me to the wrong lab. No worries, I called my doctor and to have them forward the order to Sonora Quest instead. I went to sit down. Half-hour later I get up and asked what the status was and I was told that they hadn't received it yet. I was just about to call my doctors office again and the woman said, never mind we have it. So I went back and sat down again. I kept watching my name drop further and further down the list so 20-minutes later I get up and ask what the status was. The young lady then proceeds to tell me what they just got the order. Well that was 20-minutes ago and I wanted to know at that time when was I was going to get in and they said they would get me in as soon as they can. Well that's BS, I made an appointment, I just didn't walk in, I came 10-minutes early, and yes my doctor sent me to the wrong lab but I found out that they got faxed the order four-minutes after I requested it from my doctor to be faxed to them. At that point I was furious just because of the excuses they were giving that they hadn't received the order. When they asked if I wanted to go someplace else of course I said yes. They handed me the order and that's when I found out that they had received it just 4-minutes after I had walked in originally. So 6-minutes early then my original appointment. I went here for labs. Showed up 20 mins early as requested. They pretended not to have orders. I told them they were sent in. They tried to tell me they didn't get them and needed to reschedule. That's when I pulled out paper order (I've been on this mill before). The lady begrudgingly took the order and made me wait an hour. Then they took the samples. A week goes by I call to ask what the problem was. They told me they failed to get the samples to the lab on time and I needed to redo them. So I came in and waited forever to have them redone. Another week goes by and I call doctor to find out what's going on. They lost the results! This company is horrible!!!!! read more

They have always been very professional about drawing my blood, and are always courteous and polite. What impresses me most is how fast they get the results to you. This story is much longer (and stupider) but the gist is this. (And the end is great.) I was at my Doctor A's office and the assistant called the lab to find out that a critical lab test was not done per Doctor A's previous lab order and my lab visit with that order. So the doc wrote another one and I went to the lab again. I first wanted to ensure that the test was NOT actually done and that there was not some mix up. So I asked repeatedly over the next 20min and several visits to the desk for DOCTOR A'S ORDER. The order they kept pulling up and referring to with growing impatience that I was challenging them was from another doctor, Doctor B. (Which I did not realize right away until I was back on the phone with their print out trying to sort this out w/ Doctor A's assistant, again.) Upon approaching the desk again to point this out I tried repeatedly asking TO SEE DOCTOR A'S ORDER (I'm not yelling, I was very calm, but I was emphasizing to Ms. Sparkling-Personality DR. A, DR. A, not DR. B's order.) But in the meantime I must admit that I also annoyed Ms. Wonderful by asking again for the excessively cranked television to be turned down again since I turned it down the first time -- especially given that I was the only one in the waiting room at this point. Again she just loved to tell me that she could get in trouble because it was company policy to have the volume that high. Also in the meantime they agreed to do the test again that they determined was not done. But here is the best part. When I was trying to get Ms. Sparkling-Personality to find the results from Dr. A's order (not Dr. B's, DR. A's, over and over) she grew so frustrated WITH ME that she told me to leave and I heard her connect w/ the police as I went through the door. 20min later I'm home getting help from HQ for the portal and I get a call from an police officer telling me I was not to return. And the best best part: When I got home and went to the portal I (not them!) finally found the full results from Dr. A's order and my previous visit. And the test THEY could not find WAS DONE and I did NOT need another. That to me is egregious. Such a lovely visit ;) That woman was rude the first time I visited there too. If you have a choice I would recommend using it. It is hard for me to imagine this happening at Lab Corp or anywhere else, lab or other wise. read more
