I normally don't write reviews, but my experience with Kia Sons in McDonough, GA was so disappointing that I have to warn others. Any positive reviews about them on this page are clearly fairy tales, if they are about the service center. I will say the sales team is amazing, so only go to buy a car (ask for Quincy). But, never take it there to get fixed!!! I brought my car in because it was smoking and stalling; clear signs of an engine problem. I was also told by 2 other mechanics that would not work on it that it was an engine issue and to take it to a Kia. I paid $200 for a "diagnostic," only to later find out they never even removed the valve cover where the real issue was. So I paid for a half-done inspection and left with the same problem I came in with. When I returned a second time for the exact same issue, they still didn't identify the problem until after I approved additional repairs. Only then did they discover sludge in the engine, something that should've been caught from the start. Because of this delay, I was misled about the true cost of repairs and lost the opportunity to make an informed decision about whether to fix or replace my car. My warranty claim was denied because Kia couldn't provide the necessary engine code, even though the check engine light was on and the issue was clearly engine-related. I shouldn't have to pay for their communication failures. They also charged me for a "full tune-up" even though I already had new spark plugs. I was never given a proper explanation before paying, and then was told afterward that I "should've asked more questions." It's the service department's job to explain work clearly before charging customers. To make matters worse, my car was returned with an ant infestation and a new chip in the windshield. Their solution was to "bomb" the car for ants; no apology, no accountability. I'll attach a picture of the ants that I could get to group up. The rest are running free. The customer service made everything worse. The first "manager" I dealt with was unprofessional and dismissive, even mocking me when I said I had time to file complaints. I see her name in another complaint on this page and I am not surprised. She told me she "had time too." That's not how a manager should speak to a paying customer. She later offered me $200 off my next service to make things right, but now the dealership is taking that back as well. When I reached out again, another manager responded with a long, defensive email that ignored my concerns, excused every mistake, and failed to address the poor customer service or the damage done to my vehicle. Not one apology; just excuses. After spending hundreds of dollars, I was left with more problems than I started with, plus the stress and disrespect of dealing with people who clearly don't value their customers. And I absolutely love Kia and the Kia line. I wish someone at Kia corporate could save me from this defective vehicle and this defective service center. If you value your car, your time, and your peace of mind; stay far away from Kia Sons in McDonough, Georgia. This was the most frustrating and unprofessional service experience I've ever had in my life. Take your car to either Bellamy Strickland or All Automotive. I only had great experiences at these 2 establishments when I owned a Buick Enclave and when I owned a GMC Acadia. They did not take advantage of me as a woman, they provided excellent customer service, they did not have hidden and unnecessary fees, they did not keep my car for a million days to service it, and they always fixed the problem. -- R

No help worse experience with Kia. I've own a Kia for 10+ years.

ZERO STARS !! I wish I could give zero stars, but I came in at 5:30 getting off work on a Friday I get it. I thought they would be busy not telling me they close in 30 minutes and they can't do my oil change. I wouldn't recommend anyone go there because customer service is terrible. No one had a solution to a problem that would've took 30 minutes for them to complete. But I will tell all my fellow Kia driving to drive to morrow or Macon and not this location ever!!

They provided this quote. This is not from TrueCar. This is what they sent to me. The manager only keeps saying that he has to charge more.

DO NOT EVER GO OR TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP!!! They provide a quote & a confirmation that they have the vehicle, but when you get there after an hour of the confirmation, they will say that the car is already sold & they will not honour the quote they provided. The general manager will just keep saying that they will have to charge the dealership fee on top of the quote they provided. Because the price was good, I had to drive more than an hour to get there. Of course, I made sure that the car is available and the price is right before I left my house. THEY LIE!!!! Even if I put some deposit for a car, how can you trust them if they will not upcharge when the delivery happens? JUST DON'T GO THERE!! FULL OF SCAM!!

I'm highly pleased with the level of sales and service I received on my new car purchase. This is the place to go if you are looking for a new car. I have to say that they took very good care of me and they went above and beyond to gain my business and that I was very satisfied at the end. My sales person Evon Hinds made sure he was able to get my deal taken care no matter what. He was absolutely the best salesman ever, very knowledgeable and quick with the best buying experience. I must say that I will most definitely will recommend others to come and purchase a vehicle from here if you like Kia cars. Overall my experience was great. I bought a car, and the sales team members I dealt with were all very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions and made sure I understood. They did not do any haggling and told me the truth about everything. Sons Kia is not the closest Kia dealership to me, but it was worth traveling the distance to make my purchase. Went in knowing what car I wanted, left with the car I really loved it. Only been driving it now for about three months and haven't had any further contact with the dealership yet other than just having my first oil change and free inspection. Everyone was very nice and I would recommend checking them out.

First, I have to start by saying I was unaware of the 2 separate facilities. One where appointments…read moreare scheduled and the other first come first served. When I placed my call, I was directed to the latter. So, I took my vehicle in early on the morning of Tuesday, 14 March, for a tune up and AC repair. I was told that the repair person did not report in until 10am and offered a ride to my home which I accepted. The only message I received that day was a text which stated my vehicle was at the facility for repair. When I hadn't heard anything by noon, I called and left a message. No one called me back. So needless to say, my vehicle was not going to be ready on Tuesday. I called repeatedly on Wednesday and was finally told the young lady who had my paperwork was out due to a family emergency and would not return until Friday. The gentleman I spoke with (who was a repair person and was able to find my paperwork on a desk) informed me there was a back log and there were several vehicles before mine. I was not informed of this before I left my vehicle. Had I known, I would not have left it because I only have one vehicle and many daily responsibilities. This was a great inconvenience to me as there were no loaner vehicles available so I had to borrow my neighbors' vehicle. Communication is key. The office should still be able to function irrespective of one person being out. I did not receive any updates until it was almost time to retrieve my vehicle on Friday, 17 March. I did not receive the quality customer care I expected especially for the amount of money I had to pay to get my vehicle repaired. Also, I know my vehicle is in need of inside detailing, but that was no reason for whomever entered it to carelessly dump the contents of my seat gap filler onto the floor in front of the driver's seat and toss it onto the passenger seat. This was not a great experience for me. I am a 32 year veteran of the Armed Forces and I fully expected better.

Warning: Make sure you get TWO key fobs before leaving the lot…read more If you buy a used car from this dealership, make absolutely sure they provide you with two key fobs before you drive off the lot. When we purchased our vehicle, we were only given one key fob. We were told they would "look for the spare" and mail it to us once they found it. In hindsight, that clearly meant they didn't actually have a second key. Unfortunately, when we later lost our primary key fob, we had no backup. Replacing a key fob can cost anywhere from $500-$800, so this is not a small issue. I really wish we had negotiated a lower price or required a second key fob at the time of purchase. Hopefully others can learn from our mistake and avoid being stuck in the same situation.

I called after a few days and the finance guy (Mason Clark) said that they pretty much could not take it off, etc. but we could come and sign a form, however, he said it would not reduce the payments (he was lying of course). After a week or so we went in and signed the form and he admitted that this would indeed reduce the payments. We also signed for Smart Pay at time of buying the car, there were charges that he did not inform us of. We called Smart Pay and unenrolled from the program.
