They ruined my hair.. the owner and the staff need to do some training.. they did not even do a hair strand test to make sure that my hair will not get damaged when I asked for a korean straight perm..The end result of what they did to my hair was the worse even.. my hair becomes brittle and freezy.. this salon is the worse!!! read more

I've been going to this place for years. Just ask for my hair stylist Xiao Yang (if you know mandarin or not). Unfortunately I don't know if he has a English name. He's studied in Taiwan and Japan and is great with styling for young people. He also works on more mature clients, both men and women. He's styled hair for singers and movie stars from Asia. Whenever they come over for a concert, he's usually off to Vegas to style their hair. So book him early. He's sometimes very busy. Last time I was there, he was booked up for Saturday. He sometimes throws in a deep conditioning for me when he feels I need it and/or he feels I'll have to wait a little longer when he's with another client. Everyone else is great too. If you speak Mandarin, you have four stylists to choose from. There are also four other Korean stylists if you choose to speak in Korean. There's something for everyone. Late post, but Sue has been doing my hair for 10 years now. I trust her 100% because not only she knows how to make my hair look nice, she knows the trend and knows the right solution for my hair specifically. She always makes sure my hair's not damaged as much when I get my hair dyed, permed, or even bleached. Everytime I get my hair done at this place, everyone asks where I got it done. End of the story. After many days of yelp researching to find a good colorist for Asian hair, I kind of gave up and just decided to stick myself inside an Asian place and walk into any salon (daring, I know). Well, I ended up in rowland heights and this is the place I ended up walking into. I'm satisfied with my color. The Korean lady sue did my hair and it came out exactly how I wanted it to come out! I had wanted just a glimmer of lightness so that my face wouldn't be too downcast from my black hair. Now my hair is this beautiful dark brown inside and a gorgeous shimmery brown when of am outside. I am so very pleased. I am also happy that she was able to sqeeze me in on a busy Saturday afternoon--she had customers co tinously coming in from the morning till six pm and she didn't have any assistants there that day! Also her phone was constantly ringing asking for appointments so I knew I was being seen by the right gal. I don't know about the cuts because I just got a trim from her, but I'm definitely going to her next time I need a cut to check that part out. Price wise I paid 80 for the trim and dye. I have been trying to find a steady hair stylist for years ever since my old one moved out of the state. Finally, after a recommendation from a friend, I have found a match. The stylist that worked on me is the younger Korean lady that owns the place. She used to work for Kim Sun Young, but ventured out and opened her own salon. She doesn't speak too much English so my Korean friend had to help me translate, but understands the gist of it. She doesn't take any more than you request which 90% of most stylists do. She also colored my hair a deep burgundy out a special mixture she made just for me. The entire wash, cut, color and dry was only $75, which was cheaper than what we originally agreed upon when I first made the appointment, so that tip was well deserved. Very satisfied. read more

I come to Soo Hairline for my facials with Sanie. I've been with Sanie for almost a year now and I cannot live without her. I spent many years damaging my skin, and she was able to fix all my flaws in just 2 months. It was such a noticeable difference after my very first facial. By looking at your review I went to get my hair straightened by Xiang Yang. He is very good. He does a very thorough job and after straightening he left my hair soft and silky unlike other places that tend to dry up your hair. He is very busy and is often traveling so book him early!! read more
