Every women's worst nightmare. It was the day before my birthday and I came to feel happy/confident for my bday plans. I tried to communicate with Sunny what I wanted but there was a little bit of a language barrier. I gave the benefit of the doubt. I said I only wanted a little trim off the ends and my bangs. I didn't even ask for layers. She gave me a hack job. Most of her attention wasn't even on me since she was working on another client as well, which I understand but the length she cut off and the unevenness is unforgivable. I waited a week to write this review but as more time passes, the more pissed off I get. I came in on Sat, 9/04 at 2:00pm. I should have listened to the reviews and went with Olivia instead. I botched up my own hair bec my clipper ran out of batteries. I also did not get to fix it before my trip bec I was short of time, so I came here to have it fixed. Haha. Anyway, I love the overall service. Well, they shampoo your hair before they work on it. They even put a hair serum after they cut it. Love love love sunny! She tells you what haircut would be best for your hair shape and is very honest about what your hair can handle. I came in with a messed up digital perm from another salon and pretty damaged hair after years of balayaging. Got a haircut here on a whim after reading the great yelp reviews. Mina helped me right away. I asked for a simple long layers cut (what I already had) and a U shape in the back. What I got was a choppy straight across cut. Where are the layers? It's literally just random chunks and there is no smooth transition. I'm giving this new salon 4 stars because no one speaks any English! Only Korean. However, Sally my hairstylist still did great. I showed her a picture and we were still able to communicate well enough to cut my hair so well. Because i have long hair it cost $45 but generally its $40. Sally was very nice and patient with my hair. My bangs are particularly hard to cut so she was patient and styled it well. I would definitely come back! read more

She's incredibly talented and has high standards, so she really likes to make sure that your hair is perfect. She stayed over an hour past her closing time to fix my boyfriend's hair. Not only did she give me tips on what to do if I want to cut his hair again, but she only charged him the minimum amount for a men's haircut. Part 1 out of 2: I have to say, this place is amazing! My boyfriend has been looking for a good hairstylist for an affordable price, and we happened to stumbled across Sunny Hair Salon. I must say, this place is sort of hidden with other little restaurants and stuff around it, but once you go in, you are given service right away. The ladies are korean and from what I know , some speak english well , while others quite not so much. But that's not anything bad. They are patient with cutting my bfs hair and really take detail (which I must say, is awesome!) , and now part 2 will be later on (pictures will be included) is going to be when I get my hair dyed by Mina. I remember talking to Mina and I asked her I really would like to color my hair her color, but she didn't quite understand. Haha Which was cute, but it was ok. Just got a haircut here with Sunny, and loved it. I had really long hair, practically to my waist and decided it was time to get rid of all the damage. I showed her a couple pictures on my phone-- basically a medium length cut with soft layers, similar to Chrissy Teigen's hair a month ago. They took me last minute and allowed me to make a same-day appointment. Awesome. After the cut and blow dry, she even styled it for me, giving me perfectly loose tousled waves.
