Monica has been grooming her since she's been a baby and never had a problem until this last time. When we picked her up, we noticed she wasn't breathing correctly. Later that night I called left a message asking if something happened to her. They never called me back. Ended up taking her to the veterinary hospital to find out her throat was compromised while getting groomed. The vet said they see this a lot when people take there dogs to the groomers We ended up having to send our little girl to heave way way to early So this is a WARNING to everyone that's thinking of bringing your animals here. They contacted me the next morning and were even patient enough to wait for me to answer (screened the call using Google assist since I did not recognize the number). Alexes was professional and asked questions about my dog to make sure it was a good fit. He has never been groomed professionally before so I appreciate that they take the time to ask about the dog as well as my expectations. I scheduled for the following week. The location is easy to find just off 153rd. I rang the bell and was greeted by Angie and Alexes. They let Gryff smell around and smell them while we chatted and I signed the consent form. My boy decided to mark their sandwich sign in the lobby (which I am so sorry for!) I had my hands full with my baby and trying to finish the paperwork but they promptly cleaned it up for me and made me feel comfortable because they didn't have an angry or negative reaction and I knew that they would stay calm with my boy and treat him well. They estimated a 3 hour session and called me after 2.5 hours to let me know they were finishing up. Upon pickup they were friendly and showed me pictures of the bath process and told me about how it went. Thankfully it went well, Gryff was well behaved and now my dog is 10lbs lighter!

My issue isn't necessarily the haircut but it's how my dog was treated. As I was paying, the woman at the front desk explained to me that my dog was "crying the entire time" and said that she MUZZLED her. My dog is a 5 month old puppy, this is only her second time here, in a new and loud place, of course she's going to cry that's what puppies do. I've asked if my dog was biting or they were concerned she was going to bite and they said no. There is absolutely no reason my dog should be muzzled for whining especially given that she was not aggressive in any way. Next she says "she thinks that if she cries she's going to get her way" almost accusing me of poor training, I explained in an example that I only let her out of her kennel if she is quiet, I don't encourage the crying and the woman shrugged me off. She does not just "get her way" when she cries. lastly they recommended to have her sedated next time she comes in, I understand relieving stress but I do not think that is necessary to do, she's not biting, she's not barking, she's not growling. Their issue with my dog was that she was crying. It's a very loud place, and when I walked in multiple dogs were crying, that is what dogs, especially PUPPIES do, and a facility that primarily works with dogs should not have a problem getting the job done because of that. MUZZLING her obviously wouldn't help her stress. not very satisfied with our visit to say the least regarding the treatment towards my dog, I left very unhappy after what I was told. I should be able to trust professionals who expertise in dog care to CARE for my dog but that simply was not the case. I will be going elsewhere, very disappointing and unprofessional. There were multiple selections of raw food from frozen to kibbles. I'm a beginner at using raw food but the lady at the cash register was very informative and helpful. My pup seemed to like the raw food but it does give him runny stools (you can return the food if it doesn't work out for you). The cashier said the food goes into donation when returned which is a great policy instead of wasting it and trashing it.

Since then, they have been having high turnover and 3 different people have groomed him. Each one doing a worse job and, charging more. This last person Wednesday, April 10 was horrible. I asked them to thin out his hair, smooth out the sides. When I picked him up, nothing was smooth or thinned out. I asked her to try again and she just made it more choppy so I asked her if she could smooth it out And it got worse. He looked like garbage. I said never mind. They charged me $145 and I left. When I got home, I noticed quarter sized scrapes behind each ear, which were raw. Clearly they had been bleeding at the shop before I picked him up. I will never take my dog there again.
