I didn't realize how long my little dog's nails had gotten and I needed a quick cut. I called around and everyone was booked or closed. I stumbled across Soggy Doggy and was delighted to hear they stay open till 8:00 during the week and that nail trims can be taken as walk-ins. Our groomer has been out of commission for a while, so we decided to take our 2 Standard Poodles to The Soggy Doggy for a bath, nail trim, and tidy up! We did the bath and nail trim on Thursday, and groomed them on Saturday. Everyone at The Soggy Doggy is so very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. It is SO easy to bathe your dog in their 'walk in' bath tubs. They have lovely shampoos and conditioners - every type for every dog!! They also have great, grooming tables, along with clippers with nice sharp blades, and grooming scissors. Best of all, there is absolutely NO clean up! The girls clean up after you and your pet! I love this place! So affordable, the people are so nice, it's incredibly convenient, and they genuinely seem like they enjoy working there. However, as someone who works in the vet field, just wanted to give a friendly tip - it's better to hold the nail trimmers horizontal (as pictured) rather than perpendicular to the dogs' nails, otherwise you are actually squeezing the quick, which hurts them more and makes them more reactive to the trimming. read more

Went there to get my dogs nails trimmed because she gets really anxious when I do it. And I tried to make that clear to staff but they just wanted to get it done right away and didn't allow for my dog to calm down or use any techniques beyond just making me hold her down. Afterward, she got really choppy nails and I had a ripped shirt from the horrible experience we had. Never going back there... my vet does a better job and they don't even sedate my dog. read more

After reading many positive reviews I decided to give this place a go and boy you guys do not lie. This place is my #1 favorite place now. You can walk in and wash your dog but you do need an appointment for the grooming. There wasn't any available tables for the grooming at first but when I got done washing my dooggy Lily one of the tables got done super fast that I was able to trim Lily a bit. The ladies here super kind, friendly & helpful. They teach you a bit if you don't know what to do. The new location next to Ace Hardware is great. More room and very good layout. The third time we've come with our now 60 pound, multi breed rescue. Counter height wash stations are the only way for us older folk. Everyone there is so willing to help and are so gentle with the pets. I love that everything is provided and so easily accessible. I have come here twice now, both times at about 6:30ish after I get off work. I'm coming in to wash my own dog. Both times there have been workers in the back washing a dog, fine, but they clearly see me standing at the front desk, make eye contact. But they make no effort to come see what I need, or even show they care that I'm there. I waited at the front desk for 15 minutes both times with my dog. The first time I let it go but the second I watched 2 workers work on the only dog in the place then once they were finished just sit there and chit chat to each other and not even come to help me. This place is conveniently located next to Clark Lake Park, where my dogs enjoy running recklessly around in the mud chasing each other. Thank God for Soggy Doggy. The place is a miracle. They have tubs for every size dog and human, grooming facilities, and very knowledgeable personnel. I thought this place was amazing before, with the grooming tables that you can jack up so that your tiny dog can be groomed without crippling your back, to the bath tubs that have all the things necessary for a safe bath, including a water proof apron for the human giving the bath. And the employees that can give advice on grooming, nail cutting, etc., are AMAZING. That was enough for me... But NOW they have a small dog tub, with just as much hose as in the big tubs, but less space to chase my little Papillon around in to get her bathed. I didn't walk out needing a massage, I'm tall, it's a whole different ballgame when the tub is the right height. read more

FOR the past 2 years since covid i hesitated to go outdoors much especially to a dog wash place. yes i do love to wash my friend whenever he is super stinky...lucky i do not have many guests coming over and those that do, do not pay attention to the body odor of a dog, especially mine who look chaotic and krazy with chomping power. but since he always is right next to me and my nose is just a foot away where he sits, i notice it was time to wash him. i dreaded bending over the tub due to the back ache and chose to venture again to the outside world for him...i like soggy doggy. more wash tubs than anywhere i have been in the past...ROLLED UP TOWELS like at a hotel was eye shocking, notice i used towels like plural. What? i dont have to use wet towels from prior people anymore? My very own hair dryer for him? Colognes for my friend? Choice of shampoo and conditioner? What is this place a high end Dog Spa? I'm giving this place 1 star. I used to love this place. We were going there since the beginning of the pandemic. Until recently. We used to take our pups there for toenail trimming. ( for little dogs they use cat clippers lol) It saddens me how rude they can be. I had signed a paper with my name on it before on may 2023.The rules in WA State Rules Not quite the law yet.) Now All Dogs and Cats have to be vaccinated against rabies before getting nails trimmed or clipped. I had my dogs rabies tag and his identification tag with my Vets phone number and she rudely said that wasn't proof enough for him. Ok but she said I could give him a bath? She must have either felt bad about humiliating me Infront of another employee that day or she knows I'm a good tipper. If the tags weren't proof enough why would she say I can give him a bath. I'm wondering is she now the assistant attendant in charge ? I'm sure other people there have had dealings with her before. Now in May 2023 she had me sign my name she didn't even request any proof he had rabies vaccines or not she still clipped his nails I can't believe how much money we put into this place. We found another place to take our pups to. These Groomers are the best yet in Kent WA. We will not be coming back.. hopefully the owner sees this post... read more

I absolutely love this place! Today was my first time bringing in my dog, Niko & it won't be my last. I didn't get her name but the lady helped me right when I walked in. She saw that we just got our dogs' ears cut so she suggested the type of shampoo (for his age/size) and she said not to spray any water on the ears. She also gave my pup a complimentary nail buffer after his nail trim. While I was blow drying him after his shower, she helped my by holding him down and everything because he was super scared of the loud noise. I love how they have such a huge variety of shampoos along with the little extra things like doggy perfume & deodorizing spray. I recently took my fur baby in for the first time and it could not have gone smoother!! They gave me lots of helpful tips about how to wash him, what kind of soap to use, and how to brush him. They even clipped his nails for me since I'm still not super sure on how to cut them and when he started to freak out a little bit she said that's ok we will take a little break and when he is ready we will finish and that was really comforting. After the bath and everything we walked him out of the tub and he got excited about another dog and she reassured me that it's ok for him to bark it happens all the time. It's nice not having to worry about leaving him and worrying about what is gonna happen or what if something goes wrong. And their prices are absolutely completely worth it! I paid under half the price I would have if I had taken him to petco! Now my biggest fur baby is soft and smells good! read more

This place was clean and well organized, however I really disliked how they try to charge you extra for everything. I forgot my furminating shampoo at home, and they tried to charge me $5 to use each furminator shampoo AND $5 for conditioner! I can buy a whole bottle for $10! other than that it was pretty good, just bring all your own stuff. Also most recent time lady there (kind of larger woman, purple highlights) was really not helpful and seemed reluctant even when I asked her minor questions to respond. Great place to take your dog for a self-serviced bath and grooming. They keep the facilities clean and have a wide variety of shampoos/conditioners. Everything that you really need to give your dog a bath is here. It's also a great place to groom your dogs and they will help you if you need advice on getting started. The blades of their clippers are often dull but if you ask for sharper blades, they will bring you another clippers so I've never had an issue. Prices are reasonable and way less expensive than paying a professional to bathe or groom your dog. read more
