    Birria tacos
    Jessica H.

This was a disappointing surprise. A friend whose palate I really trust told me this food truck has some of the best quesabirria tacos in town. But I think whoever was in charge of the birria that night (at the dogwood location) forgot to skim the fat off the top? The consommé tasted and felt like a cup of grease. And every bite I took of the tacos launched more grease onto my plate. I was at a drag show going through napkins like crazy wiping all the grease off my hands and face. I had to go back and get even more napkins because I had soaked through my first 3. I have ordered many birria tacos in my life and I know they don't have to be this way. It's possible this is how some people like them but I was bummed.

Quesabirria. See how they gave me a teaspoon of salsa, not demure. They skimped on the consomé. Photo taken as soon as I got it.

This was my first time at this food cart. Let me start by saying that the food was full of flavor, LARGE AND IN CHARGE FOR THE PRICE. The agua de piña con mango was A1!! My mom got 4 quesa birria tacos and she has been here many times and said it always slaps! I got a quesabirria quesadilla and it was HUGE! The price is what the price does because we are trying to support Latino businesses. PERIODTT!! I wanted to take it down two stars for the service, pero, I plan to go back and I will ask for rectification and I will mention to them not to skimp the salsa and the consomé. The person who rang me up tenía cara de mamona, mala vibra, mala energía. Off the bat, they seemed bothered because I was speaking Spanish and was asking for clarification on what kind of tortilla they were using. They rolled their eyes at me when I asked for more salsa as you can see it's a literally a teaspoon. I asked if the agua era de piña con mango cos they just kept saying piña. (I was also not given any utensils or napkins, so make sure you ask for some). If you don't like working there, call out, baby or quit. I'm hoping it's a one off, but now you know what to ask for. Yes, I was kind and yes I tipped 20%. Thank you.

Worst Burria tacos I've ever had. Soggy, falling apart, tough meat, and no cheese (which has been pretty standard for every birria taco I've ever had) - couldn't finish them. Super disappointed. Don't recommend.

The staff was polite and the food came quickly. I ordered: Shrimp Ceviche and chips $15 - As you can see in the photo there is barely any shrimp in there. They came with a bag of Mission brand tortilla chips Taste was decent but my expectations were higher for $14. Carnitas Burrito $14 - The burrito was big. The carnitas was good. It only comes with beans, rice, meat, and a little salsa. For $14 I was disappointed but the taste was decent. Came with two different sauces. One was straight up Tapitio. The other tasted like a bottled salsa as well. Overall it seems like most of their food is simply done and not a lot of scratch made items. For $29 plus tip this was incredibly underwhelming. I won't be returning unfortunately

Quality taste... I'm a Southern California girl And I'm super picky when it comes to Mexican food. So far I've only had the Carnitas tacos, and the rice and beans - both are delicious. It's my favorite Mexican joint in town!

Stopped at our first food truck in Bend today. Vern n I love Mexican food and we did good! Ordered 3 Tuna Tacos ( our first ever tuna taco) and Portabella Vegie Salad! Thought it was a bit spendy, else would have given 5 stars. The tuna was cooked to perfection. Loved the crunchy topping. Very well presented and tasted amazing. Salad very tasty too! Needed taco chips to top off dinner. Close to our home, so will be visiting again soon, when I save up!

Delicious. Birria stew and pork carnitas tacos. Toasty under the propane heater. So glad we finally got here. We will be back.

After all that hard work, our family always ends up back at El Rodeo. It's our go-to spot and has been for years. The service is always great and the people working there are genuinely friendly and kind. It feels like a real family restaurant where they're happy you showed up. The bar is also a fantastic place to grab a drink or margarita, play a little video poker, and end up talking to half the locals in Bend. Somehow you go in for dinner and leave feeling like you attended a neighborhood reunion. The food is exactly what you want when you're craving Mexican: hot, good, and a lot of it. I have never once left there hungry or disappointed. Plates show up looking like they were designed for a lumberjack who skipped lunch. They recently remodeled the bar, which looks nice... but personally I believe Mexican restaurants should be built once in about 1987 and then left exactly the same forever. It's part of the charm. That said, the remodel won't stop me from going back regularly. Great people, great food, strong margaritas, and the kind of place that makes Bend feel like home. Five stars all day.

The owner is super friendly and we have the same few servers every time who even Renee our go to orders. My parents love their Chile Rellano with green sauce. They also have one of the best happy hours in Bend -- great prices, plenty of options, and that friendly, familiar vibe that makes it feel like a neighborhood favorite.

When you get there you get in line, but this is no Chipotle (no shade on Chipotle). While you are in line, one of the staff will ask you what you want to drink and will bring it to you so this makes the line much more bearable - and we enjoyed the unique cocktails. Also, while you're on line you can people-watch, take in the cool decor, and decide from the enticing menu. Also, while you're on line, one of the staff will find out how many are in your party so they can start strategizing about where to seat you so you don't have to worry about scrambling for a table. When you get to the front, you order, and they give you a number and they seat you. The line can be long, but it moves, and as I mentioned, you may have a cocktail in your hand to help you get through it. Now to the food. It's a fusion of Asian and Mexican food, very unique offerings. The trouble will be deciding what to have so I recommend sharing if you're there with somebody else so you can try a lot of things. We had the peanut tomato curry with chicken, the spicy fried chicken, the side salad, and the pièce de résistance, which was the carnitas sandwich. You can have this for dessert, it's so rich and delicious. Everything was good and the curry was also a standout. We really enjoyed Spork!

Very family friendly with a great kids menu and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Awesome little booths and great places to have conversation. We very much enjoyed Spork!

Loved that all the food is homemade including the tortillas. We ordered the carne asada and chipotle tacos along with an order of eloté. We could not have been more pleased. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating and we grabbed a table under a big tree. The menu offers some great selections. I was tempted to try the chilaquiles but tacos always get me. Carmen's Famous Tortilla Soup looked really tasty as well, so it looks like I have a reason to return. Alcohol including tequila is also served along with refreshing aqua frescos. Our food came out fairly quickly and it was hot and ready to eat. Tacos were juicy and the eloté although not the best I have ever had still provided good flavor. Location is easy to find although parking was tight. Perhaps it was the time of day we came and it was a weekend. Service was quick and efficient. Ambiance was perfectly beautiful sitting amongst the trees. I would recommend should you find yourself in Bend stopping here for a little bit of Mexico!
