I had a good feeling after reading the menu options and walking into the restaurant which had a matching ambiance. It was a pickup order and it was ready within 10-15 minutes or so. The calling and pickup experience was good. The super supreme burrito was definitely not super and was not enough to fill my appetite. It felt like there were ingredients missing and all I could taste was a lot of refried beans and some meat. Definitely was not super or supreme. I hope that it was a one time experience at this location. I tried the chicken fajita burrito with was quite watery and I was not expecting raw green onions in it, but overall left me craving for a better version of a burrito. Super Nachos were good, not the best that I've had but quite good for the price. Overall I'll try this location again just to see if it was just not the best day for the restaurant. read more

These guys may be the OG taco/burrito place in Bend. But, coming from California, this place was a let down. The people who run this place are super nice. The service was good. They cater to their clientele, the people of Bend. I don't blame them at all for catering to their customer's tastes. I ordered an all meat burrito, some fish tacos and a couple of carne asada tacos. Let's talk first about their tacos. The tortillas are flour tortillas. Most Mexican joints use corn tortillas. The fish tacos are made with tilapia. They are grilled, not fried. Not quite the same fish tacos that we have in Southern California. The carne asada was grilled. However, both tacos seemed to be missing flavor. Adding salsa did not help. The all meat burrito was indeed all meat. I thought I asked for carne asada, instead, I got a burrito full of shredded beef. Again, adding seasoning would've helped. I'll be super nice to them and give them 3 stars. But, if you come from an area with lots of Mexican food, you won't like this spot. read more

Definitely a chill, taqueria style vibe. There was a steady flow of patrons but wasnt crowded. I decided to try a pastor burrito and carne asada nachos because I couldnt make up my mind. I feel prices are low but you get what you pay for- smaller portion or skimping on food itself/quality. The burrito: i inhaled it quickly and wasnt very full. It was a squishy burrito for sure..mostly full of watery refried beans, some 'pastor' which didnt have much flavor and was full of fat which i attempted to take out as i ate it. The tortilla itself was a bit dry/toasted as well. Nachos: for $9, its not a bad price for the small amount.. but id rather pay $12 for more of everything. The one layer of tortilla chips were covered beautifully in the guac, pico de gallo, sour cream, beans and meat. It needed more chips for sure. If this was my entree, id be left hungry still. And wish they were homemade chips. With their two salsas, a more mild green and a spicy red, and having to pay for chips, and the mediocre food, I dont plan on returning. read more

I have been coming here for 15+ years so it is very sad for me to write a 1 star review. I called in a phone order for cheese enchiladas, a fajita burrito and a quesadilla. We picked up our food, paid and drove home. The cheese quesadillas were mistakenly beef ones and since I'm vegetarian, I am not able to eat them. We called to rectify the situation and the owner first denied that we had ever come in there today, and then LAUGHED AT US when we said we ordered cheese and not beef. We were courteous over the phone until then. We always tip extra, we are always nice, I referred clients here all the time (I won't anymore) and me and my guy collectively have been going there for 30 years. The fact that they would treat a long term customer like that blows my mind. My guy even told him on the phone how long we've been eating there and the owner didn't care. Nice lunch spot. - Super Burrito, chicken: huge, tasty, loaded with goodness. The Super is kind of like a Taco Bell Burrito Supreme except, you know, better. - Pastor taco: I totally didn't need more food than the burrito but I had to try their tacos. Excellent. Top three in Bend. They have a small salsa bar in the back. All are good but none are hot, medium at best. I haven't found a salsa bar in Bend yet that featured hot salsa. But these are worthy - I slathered quite a bit on my taco and burrito. Fast casual - order at the counter, they'll bring your food out. Lots of seats, inside and on the expansive patio. Our cousin took us here for lunch. It's his favorite Mexican restaurant here. We didn't have high expectations of this place since we're from California and we have pretty good Mexican food. YES they have Coke here. It's the first place in Oregon that I found fountain Coca Cola. I split the child verde carnitas burrito with my Mom. I got my soda and sat down at a big table near the soda fountain. My Dad went and got some chips and salsa. The chips were really good and salty. Salty chips are always the best. We had three different salsa's, a really spicy chipotle, a green chile and a lighter less spicy salsa. We snacked on those while waiting for our meal. My Mom also got horchata to drink which turned out really yummy. It wasn't too sweet and it was pretty creamy. Our burritos came in good time. Dad got his first. He got a wet burrito. It was spicy, too spicy for me, but it was pretty tasty. Next my Brother got his burrito and then our cousin and we got our burrito. The chile verde was really good. Mom got it with rice instead of beans inside. The pork was super tender and delicious. I bet you could eat it with a spoon. The chile verde was a little spicy for me though. I'm kinda sensitive to spice, but everyone else devoured their burritos. I ate as much as I could before my mouth was burning. I liked that we got rice in our burrito. It helped clam the spice. I've never had a burrito with a chile relleno inside, and I love chile rellenos. I got a one with carne asada, and it was okay. The asada wasn't the most flavorful, and they only had refried beans (I don't really like refried beans so asked for pinto, which they didn't have). The cheese inside the chile relleno also wasn't melted, and it wasn't crispy either. I really liked the red hot sauce though, as it was actually spicy and had great flavoring. Very affordable and delicious Mexican food in Bend and so glad I chose to come here amongst all the other places that I found on Yelp. Plus, this place was close to our hotel and based on the good reviews, I was curious to try it for myself. I was craving nachos, but my boys wanted the usual tacos and burritos. Back at the hotel, my son mentioned that this was one of the best burritos he's had. I wouldn't say my nachos were my favorite, but it was pretty solid and I liked it. It wasn't overly salty or spicy. If you do like spicy, the red salsa has a lot of heat. This place has set the bar high for some good, authentic Mexican fare. Great if you like to $hit your brains out. I grew up in east LA and lived in Tijuana, spicy is not the issue. More like cross contamination or old/tainted Manteca (lard).
