Ah. I wondered why I really thought they had gluten free buns but when I visited, they didn't. Now I see it- the picture of their menu on here says gluten free buns available. Well, now we know that is outdated and they no longer have them. I was super sad. I got my burger week burger on a bed of arugula. It did taste good. The cheese/sauce/arugula went together. The Bleu Rooster is my favorite food cart. There is nothing on the menu that isn't top-notch. The Reuben is so incredibly flavorful, as is the Turkey Pesto sandwich and the Gyro. There are usually specials in addition to the regular menu items. I highly recommend The Bleu Rooster! read more

The blue rooster is located at the "on tap" beer garden. I ordered the fries and they were salty and delicious with a side of aioli. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings! read more

Best. Fries. Ever. Seriously, I've had duck fat fries in a dozen places, including on top of the space needle (before they got rid of the restaurant) and these fries are by FAR the best I've had. I am fried chicken Sando obsessed and it's been hard to beat my favorite plac- but you guys did it. Sando was amazing! Can't stop thinking about it and can't wait to get back for more! 5/5 would definitely go back. Reuben was filled with great meat with nothing overwhelming the other. The half order of DELICIOUS pommes frites with the sandwich was generous and the FULL order of DELICIOUS pommes fites for the ankle biters to split was more than enough. Much better experience this time. Went for an early lunch. Had a hankering for fries so I figure I'd give Bleu Rooster another try. Service was friendly and fast. Fries were cooked perfectly, salted just right and the truffle aioli went well with the fries. I enjoyed it with my pomegranate cider. My partner in crime loved it as well. (tourist review) What's Good: The P.B.L.T. (Pork Belly Lettuce Tomato) was delicious, but something about Pork Belly makes it a shared dish for me. Very well-made sandwich, especially with the Pomme Frites on the side. Just tell them to go easy on the salt for the fries though. The Reuben is something that seems to be popular here, so would be on my list for next time. Other Notes: located at On Tap, which is one of the half-dozen food truck pods in Bend. This one is nearby the Costco and Whole Foods, so could be a planned trip if you're in the area around lunchtime or just want a beer. This spot had the most extensive beer and cider list of all the food truck pods we visited. So if beer variety is what you're looking for, On Tap is it. read more

Had a disappointing experience at this food truck. Was waiting outside to be helped and kept getting ignored by the guy working inside. Not much else was open so I patiently waited. Another girl came up to the truck and rudely cut in front of me, before I had a chance to say anything to her the man opened the window and took her order before mine. I was annoyed by that, but whatever, my order was taken and I was satisfied. I ordered the P.B.L.T sandwich and added a side of sweet potato fries. Total price was $16, a little steep in my opinion but I figured the food would be worth it. I tipped 20%, bringing the cost to nearly $20. I always tip this much, I know times are tough in the food industry and I used to be a server. I expected a good meal, but I was incredibly disappointed. The sandwich was tiny, the pork belly was just a small thin slice of pork. It was missing the pickled onions and bacon jam. There was barely any aioli and not much flavor going on. Fries were okay, but not worth the extra $4. I'd give this place another shot, but spending $20 on a meal for just myself isn't something I do often, especially when it's takeout from a food truck. read more

Two meals in five days here. Both meals, Gyro and today the Ruben were outstanding. This cart pod is good but not great. The physical plant is great and the beer selection is fantastic. First time to visit food truck heaven and tap house. What took me soo long?? Ruben sando was beyond good. Can't think of the right descriptor. Just amazing Loved it so much went back 3 days later to have another Ruben with the great fry's. Been a long time where I couldn't wait to go back and eat some where again. "Hi, my name is Stacy and I am addicted to rubens." "Hi Stacy" the room drones A fellow ruben hunter directed me to the Bleu Rooster and wow, was she right. I'm 54 and I've never had corned beef so tender. The roll soft and fresh with just the right amount of kraut and cheese. I do love a sloppy ruben with extra sauce, which this is not, but dang it's close if not perfection. Ordered with a side of fries, which I found to be way too salty, but fantastic seasoning. My friend had a gyro which looked fantastic. Everyone coming in looked like they had something great from all of the carts and the outdoor/indoor seating was so nice and warm on a cold day. Lori is an absolute rock star, and her sandwiches and soups are on regular rotation for my wife and I. We usually get the PBLT and the Po'Boy, both are outstanding! Absolutely love this spot. It's along the row of food carts/trucks at the parking lot of On Tap. I've been there a few time and I've had a couple of different plates including a Rueben sandwich, a ahi tuna poke bowl, and a pork belly lettuce tomato sandwich, all of which were incredible. They also have some great fries to with it. The team running it do a great job of getting your order ready in a timely fashion, while also maintaining a high level of quality. All in all a great place that I would recommend to anyone! read more

Yum, yum! We ordered from Bend takeout (great folks) for the first time trying this cart. When the food arrives it was well packaged and still warm, even the fries. We had the pork belly sandwich and a Gyro with fries. When I was ordering you could add extra meat... that is the only thing I regret that pork belly sandwich was awesome and next time I order extra meat. Not to be outdone the fries and gyro were fresh and delicious as well, really great job, we will be back. read more

I decided to support our local food businesses but trying out the local food trucks. I was hungry for a Philly Cheese Steak. They were CLOSED!!! I was seriously bummed!! I decided to try the Bleu Rooster food truck & got a Reuben Sandwich & the Pommes Frites for my friend & a Gyro for myself. What a treat!!! The Reuben was loaded with meat & excellent homemade dressing, the fries were perfectly, well, fried! The seasoning on them was terrific (comes with a dusting of truffle & several other yummy herbs) & it came with a great homemade Aioli . My Gyro was PERFECT!!! The Tzatzki sauce was amazing, & the meat was both cooked & seasoned (in my never to be humble opinion the 3 easiest things to screw up with a Gyro). I have found a new favorite lunch place! I can't wait to try the other offerings on their menu I highly recommend checking them out they are located near Cafe Yum in NE Bend kind of behind Fagen's. read more

Not Covid compliant in my opinion! I have not eaten out since stay at home orders have been in place but wanted to treat my Mom to something special on Mother's Day. (She lives with me so we have been co-Quarenteening for eight weeks now) We went to check out the carts located here to chose dinner because it was highlighted on last nights news broadcast and I thought it would be great to also support local businesses while treating Mom to a restaurant quality meal. We wore our masks and mom made her choice, The Blue Rooster! We were given our buzzer to hold which was to notify us when our food was ready. The cook had gloves on but no mask. Three orders came out in quick succession and each customer handed back their buzzer to the gloved cook who went right back to touching the food. How many people had touched those buzzers?? I noticed that not only was he not sanitizing the buzzers each time they were handled but he was not changing his gloves or sanitizing them with solution before touching food. I am a former local restaurant owner myself and this would not pass inspection in the best of times much less a pandemic. We grabbed our food and as we made our way back to the car my Mom urged me to return the food and ask for a refund. The food was not cheap. $30 for two plates and a side of fries. The food was decent not amazing. Pomme frites were thick normal fries and not the way I know pomme frites. Here's hoping I didn't give Mom more than just dinner for Mother's Day!! read more

So after being in Bend restaurants for the past 10 years, Lori as a GM and F&B and Levi as Executive Chef, we decided it was time to do our thing. We love food, we put that love into our scratch cooking. Levi’s background in Fine Dining French and Italian definitely influences the menu. We also have to include our families favorites! Thus “Family Inspired Global Cuisine” and we are family!

Drink options were plenty, though it didn't seem like you could get just a soda if you wanted one but I didn't look that hard. Ice cold self-serve water was good with me. Bartender was friendly. We ordered a couple items from the BBQ truck (will do a separate review). There appears to be a nice sized stage for live performances as well as multiple fire pits and heaters for when things cool down at night or in the winter. Parking is a decent size, though don't be fooled by your map app and turn into the shopping strip just before it, they have signs everywhere that that parking is NOT for the food trucks/on Tap. Optional street parking as well, even if the street is a little tight. Would return for sure.

This is just super fun. So I was walking by this place on a Saturday afternoon and I knew I absolutely had to stop. The prices are perfect for a late breakfast, or afternoon snack, or you can totally get an assortment and go crazy. But honestly, it's all pretty good. I got the original waffle, and a Boston cream pie waffle. The waffles come in sticks so it's super easy to eat and they have a nice balance between crunchy exterior, and soft warm pillowy interior. The waffle batter honestly made me think of all the waffles I used to eat as a kid and how much I love a good waffle. The Boston cream pie waffle was good. There's a little bit too much Nutella in it for my taste, but the Bavarian cream filling was wonderful. No syrup needed in my opinion. So this place has about three sweet waffles, and three savory waffles on the menu along with a few secret items when the owners get bored. Of course they are also regular waffles that are served in the delightful stick shape. All in all, this place is pretty solid. I can see it being very fun to share with friends and just have a good time can you group of friends together, ordering everything off the menu, and trying to taste the different flavors.
