Incredible!!!!! Had only one of their potato, bread, cheese and egg taco on corn and I'm so bummed I didn't get two. It was, incredible to say the least... it took some time to get the food because they make it fresh, but it was so worth the wait and weight lol. I also ordered the apple spice waffles, which smell completely amazing and are so good. they have literal chunks of apple in them. It taste so good. read more

This place serves up DELICIOUS breakfast tacos. It's located in a little food truck park with a couple of picnic tables so it's a nice spot to eat at when the weather is nice. I started coming here for the breakfast tacos...and I still keep coming back for them. Honestly, it's some of the best ones I've had in Austin. They have the usuals you'd find but they're done well. The brisket is moist and finely chopped and they make their own chorizo. I usually go with flour tacos for breakfast but I once got a corn one and the texture on it was delicious. I finally went there for lunch once and decided to try their torta and the sopa. I had this moment of regret-not for what I ordered but that I didn't order this sooner. The sopa was warm, hearty and the torta was hoagie-ish paired well with their sopa. I still go to them often for breakfast but I've branched out into some of their more esoteric options-the Sammy 2.0 and they're nice enough to put the gravy in a separate cup so my food won't get soggy. What's more, Marta and Erika are the mother-daughter duo behind the magic and they're so nice and friendly and you can tell they put a lot of heart and effort into their cooking and food. read more

I love finding unusual places that are perhaps a bit off the radar but provide food that you can tell is made with both a passion for cooking and a creative flair. These are always worth seeking out. Located in a dusty food truck park is Sopa De Fideo and I had their take on homemade ground beef tacos that were absolutely sublime. True to their name, I was also provided with a cup of their delicious Fideo soup, and in an absolutely genius touch, the pasta in the soup were none other than alphabet noodles! Being an absolute child, I sat there obsessed trying to separate the right letters to form dirty words on my napkin but gave up when I couldn't locate a "F" or "C" to finish my evil plans. I was going to knock the restaurant down a star for that but I'm not a monster. (...said the guy spelling filthy words with soup) In all seriousness, the ladies running the show here was just as sweet as the food was amazing. The tacos; with choice of puffed corn shell or homemade flour tortillas were filled with well seasoned ground beef, grilled onion, cabbage, crema, and cotija (?) cheese and the flavor was just otherworldly. Love love love it! Salsa was great too... While I didn't have it on this particular day, they had a good choice of breakfast burritos, and others around me looked VERY happy eating them at the picnic tables scattered by the food truck. I say it in many of my reviews but we all have to help support family/community businesses and I just wish the best for these folks. My sister and I came here after a long drive from Las Vegas. I had the sausage breakfast tacos and she had the Los Munchies (sausage infused waffle with over easy eggs, and gravy) . For those of you not familiar, "Sopa de fideo, also referred to as sopita de fideo, is a stock-based noodle soup that is a part of the cuisines of Spain, Mexico, Tex-Mex cuisine, and Cavite, a province in the Philippines. It has been suggested that the dish may have originated in Spain." The chalupa was bright and textured accompanied by their chunky artisan tomatillo and a red salsa. Fantastic. This food truck is a little hard to find but it is located behind the Randalls off of 183 in northwest Austin. There are a couple of other vendors in the same location but it the only one offering tacos, chalupas, and other items. We enjoyed our chorizo tacos, loaded with egg, potato, and cheese. They include a couple of sauces: "hot" (a green sauce) and the "hot hot" (red). They aren't kidding-the hot hot is definitely going to require you to have some cold drink on hand to cool your mouth off after eating. They make their own chorizo and I love that it's not greasy and doesn't just drip oil everywhere while still being flavorful. The potato is a really nice creamy texture. It's not a super egg-forward taco; it's on equal footing with the other ingredients which I think is great. It's also a fairly large breakfast taco! Like, double the size that tacodeli would make. I ordered the carnitas chalupa off the lunch menu and it comes with a side of sopa. This alone makes a very filling (and inexpensive) meal! The chalupa is puffy with a bit of crisp but not at all dry. The sopa is simple but flavorful, feels home-y. The breakfast and lunch/dinner menus are both served all day, so you don't need to worry about going before/after a certain time and missing half the menu. read more

Love this hood truck tucked away on a side street between Jollyville Road and 183. The food is great - I've had breakfast and lunch here multiple times and never been disappointed. The ladies who run the truck are awesome and remember you after being there only once (unless I'm special - which I don't think I am). The breakfast tacos are what I get most often. They are very filling, one is generally enough unless you're really hungry. The tortas are great for lunch; and so are the flautas. And of course the fideo is tasty as well! Such an unexpected surprise. When we pulled up to the food truck park it didn't look like it was going to go well.. it was lunch time and it was empty over there. I wanted something that was not Texmex and happened to be in the area. Then when they said they were from Kansas i was even more worried. I was wrong.... The chalupas were delicious. 100% will go back again. The seating area seemed pretty spacious. The bathroom was locked so that was a bummer. The service was ok. But those chalupas.... I've been wanting to find more authentic taco trucks and this was a gem! I love the small area of tables under the shade of the trees. There's a Mediterranean food truck neighboring which I plan to go back for. I expected my chalupa to be bigger based on the photos, but it wasn't huge. The soup takes a little longer and the lady (owner?) called us over, giving us the option to just dig into our chalupas first. First I would like to say that the workers here are the most friendly and polite people you'll ever meet. They have little cute picnic tables so you can enjoy your food after you order or you can take it home. They do not skimp on the breakfast tacos. They even have some specialty tacos to choose from. The brisket one is one of my my favorites because of all the protein in it. They have one specialty taco right now called El Chente, OMG!!!!! My new favorite !!! They have home made red and green salsa both are excellent. For drink you can choose from juices , water, or my favorite Mexican coke.
