They've been audited and I had to be refunded money they overcharged and now recently my insurance claims have been charged differently because they've changed the way they bill medication management appointments. While I don't believe they're able to control this, they did tell me that the copay would remain $10; it has not remained the same and is $80 and I am now having to back pay for all appointments up to this point for appointments that I was told would for sure be a $10 copay. If they were able to get their finance situation under control I would absolutely recommend them, but constant uncertainty about how you're being charged is not okay. This situation is just the straw that broke the camels back.

But apparently, Perkins couldn't be bothered to reach out to this patient to schedule an appointment that they were guaranteed to get paid for. And is it a bad sign that whenever you call anyone there from the front desk up, your call goes straight to voice mail? I was also informed that Perkins needed to get access to my VA medical records to see Mr. Three problems with that: A) the VA takes a VERY long time to share medical records with any outside provider. B) You can only look at my Mental Health VA records Perkins as you have zero need to see any non mental medical issues I have had C) Maybe if you guys EVER called me, I could authorize you to access my records and find out why you need to see them and sign an authorization form so you can. But thank you, Perkins, for showing the quality of your customer service as a potential paid for customer, so I wouldn't have to find out that there is no customer service as an actual patient. So, for all those people who tell service connected disabled vets, thank you for your service. Maybe you can provide me with some (customer) service in return? Or maybe not....

All were narrowing with arms on them. There were no spare armless stools or armless chairs for someone with wide girth like myself. So this was very uncomfortable for me accompanying my elderly mother. My 94 yr old mother had to struggle to get up into the exam chair...almost too hard for her. The struggle left her very fatigued. Suggestion: bring in a few extra-wide chairs for heavier people; and, step stools for short people trying to get in and out of exam chairs.

Appointments are easy to get and the wait times in the office are reasonable. All of the staff are customer/patient oriented. This includes the front desk, the assistants, and doctors. The waiting room is open with ample seating. The examination rooms are appropriately sized, neat, and clean. They also have facilities for x-rays and orthotic measurements. Overall, I've been pleased with their care and service.

As they expand they are adding physical locations which are 10 plus miles apart. The administrative staff makes errors in appointment locations and times some 20% of the time. I share this from family experience and observing patients arrive and even waiting for appointments in the wrong office. Later the administrative staff will claim they notified them. I've observed patients sharing the phone and text messages proving they were never notified. Even myself, I setup an appointment 4 to 6 weeks in advance, the day before the appointment I was texted the appointment was in the office I expected, 1 hour before the appointment I was informed the appointment was moved to another office. This is extremely unprofessional. A practice does not change a providers location a few hours in advance. The practice manager had to have been advised of this change weeks ago. The manager did nothing. They do have some good staff. They need more. They need to increase the salaries and benefits to attract more professional and experienced administrators who take responsibility and accountability. Doctor Tharwani and his clinical staff are very good. Just expect issues 20% of the time issue with your appointments until they get proper administrative staff and/or procedures.
