Simply hearty good German food. Having spent half a year in Munich a couple years before arriving in Stuttgart I had the opportunity to try different variations of the amazing food of Bavaria. Although this is the first time I tried swabian food, all quite similiar if you ask me but nonethless was very delicious. Will sure be back soon if I am ever in the area again. read more

Oh, I like this basic Swabian food. Especially "Linsen und Spaetzle mit Wuerstchen" that one of my favorite. Combined w/ the local beer from their own brewery it's a perfect dinner place for locals and tourists. The offer huge tables for large crowds. The service is friendly and good. The food is typical and delicious. They also offer a English menu, which makes the menu choice much more easy ;-) I will definitely come back next time I'll be in Stuttgart! read more

Came here for a group event, which was a good space for this. The spatzle was ok and what I would expect for German food. Enjoyed the beer here. Waitress I had was personable and attentive. There was supposed to be a special on pitchers. I was annoyed the price was raised on me after I ordered it. Waitress mentioned the manager made that decision. read more

I dined here based on a colleagues recommendation. He was right! The food, beer & service were all top notch. I googled several menu items (just to figure out what I was ordering) and decided on Bratwurstschnecke mit Bratkartoffeln. The sausage was incredible, oh so fresh. Good place for a decent local meal. Service is traditionally German (i.e., they can be a bit rude and/or direct), but food is served fast, tastes good and is reasonably priced. My go-to for maultaschen every time. The käsespätzle is delicious here as well. My husband and I had our going-away party here before leaving Stuttgart back in March -- and FINALLY got to sit at the gazebo table! Love it. This was my first Swabisch restaurant when I arrived to Stuttgart in 2009, and can't count the number of times I've been back. Was definitely my go-to when friends and family were visiting as well. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. Just thinking about Sophie's makes me want to fly back to Stuttgart to eat here again! Also, they have a brewery on-site and the beer is amazing. I recommend the unfiltered house beer on draft ... and if you're feeling brave, get a meter of beer brought to the table! read more

I have to give this place a great review seeing how delicious their food is. I ordered the pork knuckles with sauerkraut. I was very unsure how it was going to turn it and it was delicious! The meat was tender and the skin was full of flavor and it was overall very juicy. Totally worth going here for a meal or at least recommend trying the pork knuckles especially if you like pork. I also had the bananaweisen which is beer with banana juice. It was pretty good but I am sure it could be better. They also have the option of having it with coke instead of banana juice. It is worth giving it a try considering that it wasn't anything of what I expected. Definitely worth a stop and try their food. read more

Some of the best beer in Stuttgart in addition to traditional Schwabian specialties. Great place to grab a few beers and hang out. They've got big group tables and a great atmosphere. Very homey feeling. Try the linsen mit spaetzle or the maultaschen combined with a Sophie's Helles for the perfect meal. read more
