    Vegan quiche is the bomb!
    Beth W.

If you're ever in downtown Saint Pete, make sure to check out the charming Sorrento Sweets! This cozy little coffee and pastry shop is a true gem. The spinach and feta croissant was perfectly flaky with a flavorful filling that hit all the right notes. We also got to try a sample of their vegan quiche, which was so delicious that I genuinely wouldn't have guessed it was vegan if I hadn't been told! The balance of flavors and texture was spot on. The staff here are incredible--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. Whether you're craving a pastry or just need a good coffee, this is a spot I'd wholeheartedly recommend. It's a must-visit for locals and tourists alike!

We only came in for coffee, which pleased the drinker, but I of course noticed how cute and cozy the place was; would not suggest for big groups, but for a quiet couple or a moment alone, yes.

This is such a great spot. Lots of options from baked goods, coffee, and treats. I got the cannoli and it did not disappoint, it was freshly filled to order. Lots of seating, and probably would make for a great spot to work at or stop by after dinner on central for a sweet dessert.

We actually came in because we were dining next door at the Lure and my husband wanted cold brew or cappucciactaIt was great that Sorrento Sweets has late hours and they were open because he was abke to just walk over there and get his cold brew. They unfortunately don't have a lot of gluten-free items. In fact, there were only two and they were pre-pakaged unlike all the other delicious fresh items they sale; that was very dissappinting for me because I have Celiacs. Staff was very nice though, the store is very nice and cute and they have indoor and outdoor seating. I would recommend it! The desserts do like delicious!

My wife and I were in the mood for a treat. Walking down the street we saw a new place we've never seen before. It was called Sorrento Sweets. First impression, they don't have very many sweets. I got a chocolate cake cup which was fine. Nothing special. My wife got a red velvet cake cup that had a Coffee flavored icing in the center she said was "not good". They also had gelato and some cookies. Really a pretty underwhelming menu of sweets. However, their coffee menu was pretty reasonable. I didn't try the coffee so I can't tell you it's any good or not... But at least it's reasonably priced.

Stopped in for a quick to go coffee and ordered an iced peppermint mocha. The barista, a younger blonde girl (sorry I didn't catch her name) was so sweet and helpful! They are very cutely decorated for the holidays and I am excited to stop back in and read or work in here.

I ordered both a Napoleon and a Lobster Tail (Cannoli cream). Yum!!

Was up in St Pete for part of the day to meet up with my sister-in-law. We were enjoying the different shops, finishing up lunch when she commented she felt like dessert. I remember during the early years of my marriage that they ate dessert immediately after their meal and I don't need any arm-twisting to get me to want something sweet. My Honey was stuffed from his burger and didn't want anything, and I had a salad which still would not have been a factor, except there was no reason why I was limited to gluten free or dairy free so we went roaming to find what met my SIL craving. We stopped at various places, chocolate, donuts, ice cream, etc. . But this one caught our eye (and mouth and belly). The top display case had the Cannoli which definitely made me think of my middle daughter and her love of sweets. Yet I also felt like having a bit more solid than cream since Cannoli here had two different types and I wasn't sure. Now my sister, after having us look at so many places simply wanted just a bite of cake and bought the Red Velvet Espresso Cake Cup . . The cake cup size are smart to limit the amount of calories and yet satisfy the sweet tooth craving. Since I had just baked strawberry thumbprint cookies and banana walnut bread the day before for Honey, I wanted something that I would eat and my body would probably freak out on. As I was fogging the display case (no, I did not do that . . .there's still a virus going around) with the multitude of options, Honey whispered sweet something into my ear "you can always get another one and have it for tomorrow". There were two employees working behind the counter. I asked what was the difference between the Lobster Tail French cream and the Cannoli cream . . He let me taste a sample between the creams. One is sweeter than the other, plus more ricotta cheese ish. He also shared the story about the cream . . It's a recipe that Italian Sal created for this baking business. I did end up buying both . . . And when he said these are big and hard to finish a whole one in a day, I was then thinking, shoot, I should only get one but faced the challenge of which one. When on vacation, it's important to stay relaxed and enjoy life. I bought a Napoleon and a Lobster Tail ( Cannoli cream). Both very delicious.

They have a lot of desserts, even one vegan. We ordered an afogato, with decaf and unfortunately they didn't have chocolate ice cream. The cheesecake was ok.

It's a nice little spot hidden away. Has some coffee and quite a few dessert options. The caramel latte I had was ok not bad but not quite as creamy a latte id expect but maybe ill ask for extra milk next time since it was a bit on the coffee and ice side. The almond rum cake was nice, I didn't taste much rum but definitely tasted almond and cake. The tiramissu is delish! My husbands espresso was a nice full bodied shot. The customer service is fantastic and they're very helpful here . The atmosphere is nice but nothing fancy but a nice relaxing spot. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating as well.

First, we came here on a food tour back in December of 2021. We had a little bit of a warm sandwich, maybe a panini of some kind, and the layered cookie. We also had a really nice mocha. It was delicious and the staff was great. We talked about coming here often this past winter, but every time we thought of it, it was too late in the evening to make it there. Tonight we made sure we had time. The service: Arriving at about 8:10 pm, nearly an hour before closing on s Friday night, we walked in to find the open air door closed and a single staff member cleaning. The music was very loud. Even though we walked past the young lady who was cleaning, and greeted her, she never acknowledged us and continued cleaning. As my husband and I stood in front of the display case discussing the options the young lady wandered over. She continued spraying and wiping and still didn't greet us. We asked her what a couple of the items were and she looked and acted annoyed to have to interact with us. She barely spoke above a whisper at ANY time, and was totally monotone as she responded up our seemingly annoying questions about the products. We ordered our treats and as she got them from the case we were discussing the different coffee options and which one we should get. The young lady looked so annoyed having to wait on us, that we just got out treats and cashed out. Rather than enjoying our dessert and coffee out in front and enjoying the evening, we headed home to enjoy them with a glass of milk. The food: The layered cookie (Rainbow Cookie) was delicious. It was moist and yummy, just as I remembered. The croco something, I wish I'd taken photos of the names, was a mix of a brownie and a scone with a little cinnamon. I didn't hear her say scone, so was surprised by the texture, but I REALLY enjoyed it! The black and white cookie , which was described elegantly as "a...... cookie that just has black and white icing on it". We didn't hear what kind of cookie but figured it couldn't be too bad. The texture was that of a super soft sugar cookie. I enjoyed it, but it had too much almond flavor for hubby to enjoy, as did the later cookie. He's not a fan of almond, so ANY almond is too much for him. It was good, but if you aren't a fan of almond I would stay away from both of these cookies. Our take away from this visit was that the evening staff needs some direction in customer service. The vibe was terrible. Loud annoying music and being ignored by staff is just not welcoming. The street was full of people, walking around and going in and out of different places. Had the open air garage door style door been open, more people probably would have come in. The place looked closed. The "annoyed to be working on a Friday night" attitude the worker had was obvious. What could have been another fun experience at this place was ruined by somebody who doesn't care if her employers succeed or not.

New place! Delicious cappuccino, rainbow and pignoli cookies!!!

Have since tried more offerings and still loving this place although suggest sticking w/ the pastries, cookies and coffee as my pressed turkey sandwich was ok, although nothing to write home about. You MUST try the lobster tail stuffed w/ cannoli cream! The lobster tail is flaky and crunchy and the cassata (or cannoli) filling is delicious. This is massive and can be shared by 2 people. Best lobster tail I've had, as alway fresh and not soggy! Also offered stuffed w/ french cream. Enjoy!

Cute new spot in the old Brew D Licious location! They offer a variety of coffee and espresso drinks; breakfast choices; and pastries/sweet treats. I tried the mocha (hot) with the Gouda Roma sandwich on panini bread. My husband ordered the cold brew with the traditional egg sandwich (egg, cheese, and turkey sausage) on a croissant. Everything was made to order and tasted very good. They also have plenty of outdoor seating for social distancing purposes. This is a nice new spot in the downtown St. Pete area to stop for breakfast or some treats. We will definitely return!
