David and his team were very unpleasant to work with. We all know going through insurance isn't the smoothest experience, but when you're working with a company that operates in a disorganized state and unprofessional manner, it compounds already unpleasant experience. Many delays, due to David mismanagement of his business, rude customer service advisors, and a general lack of command of the English language made working with David establishment one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. The paint job they did on the door that they fixed for me does not match the exterior color of the rest of my car either. It is heavy on the glitter and leans blue instead of black. DO NOT TRUST DAVID. THIS BODYSHOP IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!! I took my BMW 430i convertible to David for a small damage (quarter panel) . Of course, as a young looking women walked into a bodyshop he knew this is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the situation. Long story short, took 6 months and cost over 19K. David tried to use my car to get the most $$$ out of the insurance and held my car for 6 months to fight for that money from the insurance. For things like he needs to match the paint job .... At the end, my car paint job didn't even match and it's just a white. Not pearl, nothing special. They also scratched my rims and said oh they didn't noticed, left my car on empty gas when I picked up the car. Not only they are made my situation worst, they also provide the worst customer service. AGAIN, I'd highly steer away from this shop and these scammers. I also reported them on the BAR. We cannot recommend SOS Autocraft enough. We were in an auto accident (no fault) and went through the insurance of the person who hit us. We went to multiple auto shops on the insurance company's list of network providers, but no one would work with us once they saw which insurance company we were working with (parent company: Kemper). Thankfully, one of the body shop owners recommended his friend David at SOS Autocraft, and they saved the day! It can be such a lengthy process dealing with insurance - and a huge headache, but David, Sue, and the rest of the SOS Autocraft team made our experience as pleasant as it could be! It took two months from start to finish, and we were so grateful to have David communicating with insurance on our behalf to make sure the parts received were up to par with what they recommended. He's incredibly knowledgeable and helped us navigate the tedious insurance process with grace and kindness. Not to mention when we received our car back, it looked better than new! They did an incredible job with the repairs and detailed it beautifully!! We also had our baby five weeks early and they made sure we got our car back before she came home from the hospital so we could bring her home in our family car - and they even gave us a gift basket with our daughter's favorite blankets and baby goodies! :) Such a wonderful touch that you just don't see very often these days. David, your response to my review sounds convincing to unknowing, prospective clients, however your account is not accurate, and I believe the way you handled this was not professional or fair. We had a three-way phone call (you, me, and the insurance adjuster), in which we discussed the issues that arose, including delays, and excessive charges. The insurance company (not you) was willing to accept responsibility for their respective delays and agreed to payout more than originally assessed, not you. On our call, you even acknowledged that your shop caused some of the delays, but you weren't willing to reflect your faults monetarily. As I noted earlier, the couple of days that your shop delayed, pushed the total duration into an extra weekend in which you guys billed for more time. On our call, the adjuster and I questioned, then double questioned your position as it sounded unfair and irrational. You planted your feet, and didn't budge. read more

I was involved in a non fault accident, and brought my Porsche 911 to SOS Autocraft. Insurance totaled the car and did not have my best interest in mind, and did what works best for them to make money and tried under pay me on the value of my car and didn't provide me any details or options. I have never been in an accident like this or have to deal with insurance, but SOS really took care of me and helped me through the process. Using information from customers in the same situation, the shop manager explained how things should have been handled. After insurance was unwilling to work with me, I realized my claim was being mishandled and decided to file a claim against my insurance. A lot of paperwork was involved, but David and his staff helped me work through it and even showed up in court to present evidence on my behalf. In the end, the judge ruled in my favor, and I recovered my losses. ​ I am glad I invested the time and effort, not just because I won, but because I also gained a lot of knowledge about my rights as an insured in the state of California. David & team did the most amazing Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) job on my brand new car. A door had been kicked and dented in multiple points. If you've been in an accident and care about your car being repaired properly, SOS is by far the best place to take your vehicle. This is NOT the shop to use if you want your car "fixed" quickly, and you will likely have to go to bat with insurance to get them to approve the repairs. Be prepared for a longer process, but the result is quality work that you will have a hard time finding anywhere else. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable about your rights in an accident, especially when you're not at fault. David, Marketa, and Sue have guided me through two accidents where insurance companies have tried to deny their way out of performing the repairs my car required to return it to pre-accident condition. Dealing with insurance is a very unpleasant process, but they handled much of the communication and gave me all the information I needed about my rights when I had to communicate with them. I went in for a quote for a wet sand and clear coat respray, they quoted me $250 for spoiler removal and $450 for the work to be done totaling $700 for a cash payment also. They were repeatedly saying we are giving you the "honest price" only thing honest there is the receptionist. Overpriced place for crappy work and it rubs off on the staff. read more

All of the employees here simply phone it in. They are lackadaisical, unenthused, and could care less how quickly your car moves through their repair process. They end their days early (4pm) and most of the time theur are out to lunch. Customer service to them is sending a two sentence email saying something to the effect of "your car is in stage 4/10 and we will provide you with an update in a week." That is no way to conduct business. I would definitely shop around plenty before risking them having your car. You won't see your car again for 6 weeks. If you choose to leave your car with them, expect to become an unpaid employee of SOS Autocraft as you will have to do 50% of their job for them read more

I have never had to repair a car or use my insurance in my life and had the unfortunate experience of having my bumper get ripped off of a brand new Jaguar. As you can imagine, going through insurance for the first time can be a bit daunting, but David was patient, professional and honest. He guided me through the whole process and made things simple. Not only did he fix my bumper, but he also helped me with some minor scuffs and scratches to other parts of my car at no charge! After suffering a large dent in the bedside I immediately called to get an appointment for paintless dent repair. This shop does it better then anyone else. Period. Is it cheap? No, but when it comes to paintless dent repair you get what you pay for. The team at SOS have perfected the art of PDR and I will continue to come back because of it. SOS Dent damaged more of the car than they repaired. Buyer Beware!! Sparknotes Version: I took my car in to have the clear bra removed, and I got it back with both headlights chemically damaged from their bra removal process, and denial of damage! Full Version: There was a car show coming up, and I had done paint correction on my entire car, but the ugly clear bra was the last thing to go. I received a VERY good estimate to have a 10 year old clear bra removed for $60; it was the width of my hood, and went from the bottom edge to about 16 inches high. SOS Dent was accomodating to get my car in promptly, and I waited while they worked for about an hour. Well I got my car back, and there looked to be what I would call "Compound Splatter" on my headlights, which I had just detailed and were completely clear when I polished my entire car the prior week. Also, there were what I would call "acid burn marks" on the lens. Unbelievable. Here is where it gets interesting. I immediately noticed the white splatter, and I could not believe they had left it like that. I called when I got home, and immediately the manager denied any wrongdoing, saying that they do not use compound when removing a clear bra (of course they do). So I bring the car in, and he continues to say there is no way the shop was responsible for this, and that it had to have been there before. So, I show him a picture of my car the day before with the clear headlights, and he finally agrees to do a headlight restoration on the house. Splatter is removed (yes it took wetsanding and polishing to remove it) but the ACID burn marks are still there. They are not going away. SOS Dent has no explanation. They destroyed my headlights, which no look atrocious. I am not going back here, and I warn you to think twice before you have them do anything but remove dents. read more

I worked with Andre; he was upfront about the cost of a bumper replacement, and outlined several different options available to me.
