Just had my second experience with Herman's and I can't say enough great things about this business. I was in an auto accident where someone opened their car door while I was passing their parked car and lost my mirror and had plenty of damage to the passenger doors and side panels. My insurance kept trying to get me in with one of their "select/approved" repair shops but they were all so busy they couldn't even start repair on my car for another month. Hermans took me in on the same day I called them and they even advised me how to get things moving faster with my insurance. 8 days later my car was ready for pick up. They were super helpful, communicative and they even detailed the inside of my car. They really helped reduce the level of stress and frustration I had dealing with this whole situation and the insurance companies. I accidentally side swiped my boyfriends car and took off the passenger mirror. It's an older vehicle but I took it straight to the dealership to make an appointment and order the piece needed to replace the mirror. They were gonna charge me minimum $1000 for the part. I almost fainted but it needed to get done. I then called our family mechanic, Joy automotive, and they referred me to Herman's. They send all their clients there and said they are trustworthy. I was so happy so I went early in the morning when they opened to see if they could help me. They were very honest, trustworthy, reliable and fixed our problem in a couple hours (once the part came in). I'm not the only review who raves about this long standing family owned business, but I just had to add to the raving. Also, they are closed on weekends. Closed on weekends means they actually care about their employees and understand that they have a life and families which you do not see in 2022 with most other businesses. This is a body shop: the place you take your car after an accident to get it fixed. Odd as it may sound, you want to go here: the level of expertise is apparent from the moment they start to look at the car to their understanding of what repairs might be hidden under the damaged you have. They are prompt and successful at getting through to insurance companies to talk about supplementals, and are as fast as they can be, given that the companies don't think they are a priority. I had someone rear-end my car in traffic, and the insurance company had directed me to the body shop they wanted to do an estimate. I heard about Herman's, and wanted them to do the work, so I handed over the paperwork from the prior estimate and the phone numbers and people who had talked to me. It worked, and I actually got it repaired between Wednesday and Tuesday of the following week: FAST. So I wake up to find someone ran into my 5 year old GTI while it was parked on the street in front of our house. And of course no note. Having dealt with Herman's before, they were my second call after the insurance company. As before, they delivered. Swung by late morning and Tony took a quick look, said he'd email me an estimate. I had it before I walked back into work. Talked with insurance, arranged to drop the car off. Got it back a few days later better than new. Tony let me know that the insurance company quote had used parts and wanted to make sure I knew and was ok with that. I had a hit-and-run bumper bash in Venice, and even though I filed a police report (and since the eyewitness was unable to get the license plate of the f*#%^@g drunk-ass driving a Porsche Cayenne that did it) I got stuck with the deductible. Herman's made that a lot less painful. First of all, and don't be put off by this, there may be a wait to get into the queue. This is a very good sign. Second of all, all the cars there were a lot nicer than my little 8 year old Jetta. Also a good sign. But that didn't mean Gary and the boys treated me any different than some rich west sider with a brand-new Benz. Gary was a responsive and thorough project manager, and everybody there was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I got my OEM bumper, the car was delivered as good as new, and although I hope I never see a body shop ever again, if I do, it'll definitely be these guys. read more

My Car: 2006 Audi A4 The Damage: I pulled partially over a curb in a parking spot at a strip mall and when I reversed back, my bumper caught the curb and flipped open. I immediately looked on yelp for the highest ratest autobody repair shops and came across Herman's. Service: I called on my way over to Herman's and George picked up the phone. He knew the problem and invited me to come on in so he could take a look. I pulled in to their parking lot and George (the same person who picked up the phone) brought in one of his mechanics. George offered me two solutions, the temporary solution of just bolting on the bumper and the total replacement solution. I naturally asked for a quote for the total replacement. George brought me inside and got me a detailed quote that reflected parts and service. In the meantime, George's mechanic bolted my bumber into place. The car looked great after the temporary solution and there was no need for replacement. I was in and out in less than fifteen minutes. These guys are professional and honest. read more

H&H gave me an estimate of $3,500 worth of repairs of which they said I would be lucky to have done within a week. Immediately took to Herman's, and they gave me an estimate of $1,300 and they said it could be done in two days! The results: AMAZING. I had side swiped my own car (a black Lexus) on a yellow pole that completely tore up the left side of my car. When I got it back two days later, it was as if the accident had never happened.
