Al, the owner of R&M Automotive, took advantage of my fiancée by convincing her she needed a new…read moreradiator when she did not. She actually had a valve issue that was clearly identified on the diagnostic code he ran and was fully covered by Subaru. Despite this, Al told her the car was unsafe to drive without replacing the radiator and pushed the repair. After the radiator was replaced, the car still did not function properly. The issue was ultimately fixed at Subaru when the valve was replaced. When confronted, Al acknowledged that she probably should have gone to Subaru first, yet he offered no compensation or accountability for charging her for an unnecessary radiator and labor. This wasn't an honest mistake; it was poor judgment at best and predatory behavior at worst. I'm posting this so others can avoid the same situation. There are plenty of mechanics in the area (e.g. Everest Automotive) choose one with integrity who won't scare customers into unnecessary repairs.

While the car was sold and badged as a Chrysler, it was made by Mercedes in Germany, and local dealers no longer have trained mechanics to perform service. My experience with Dave started when he recommended a towing company to get the car to his shop. The Company he recommended was $25 less at least than any other quote, and was prompt and professional. The folks at Dave's are expert in what they do. They diagnosed the two issues that were a problem, and performed the necessary repairs quickly and professionally. This garage will treat you fairly, and more importantly honestly. Heartily recommend them to anyone having issues with their vehicle, and especially those who may own vehicles that were limited production and where parts aren't necessarily plentiful.

Took my Suburban to Pep Boys, spent $1000 on brake repairs, still had the original ABS problem…read more Took it back, another $500 and now it was worse. A brake line they fabricated blew and almost caused an accident when the pedal went to the floor so I had it towed back there. They wanted to charge for the tow until I reminded them it was warranty ahd a liability issue. They fixed the line and said it would be another $750 IF they could find the part. I told them to forget it, bought a rebuilt part on the internet and took it to Ronnie. He replaced the other wheel hub that Pep Boys said was fine after they replaced the speed sensor TWICE and put the module on that I ordered. Articles all over the internet, DON'T replace the wheel speed sensors, replace the whole hub if you want it to work! After Ronnie was done with it, no brake light, no ABS light, no sickening feeling when the ABS kicks on inappropriately on hard dry pavement and kills the brakes unexpectedly. Ronnie has my business for life!!!
