I explained I submitted my documentation but never received any kind of confirmation. She claimed calling me once counted as confirmation. I told her, I never got a call. No voicemail, no text, no email. Nothing. Then she hit me with this dramatic little monologue about how "from the bottom of her heart," she's so busy managing her call list and if she had known I wasn't coming, she would've given the spot to someone else on the waitlist. Girl, please. This entire exchange is the perfect example of why we're packing up and heading back to Michigan. In Michigan, they actually confirm your appointment, text, call, email, smoke signal, whatever it takes. If I had gotten a confirmation, I would've been there. I don't miss appointments. And to that front desk woman: If you're reading this, your tone was unacceptable and wildly unprofessional. I genuinely hope you wake up with a mild but persistent inconvenience every single day. Nothing painful, just enough to keep you humble.

My wife booked my appointment and noted that nothing would really happen today as they would be evaluating. My appointment was at 7:30am and I arrived early. The MA who pulled me back was asking me questions I honestly couldn't answer (since it's beeeeeen years since things have been done in my mouth). She made me feel and looked at me like I was stupid. We were precious patients in 2019 and had no work done since. There was no rush, and she could have looked at the chart but didn't. Long story short they made me feel stupid, they didn't provide quality competent care. My wife called at 8:00am this morning to cancel our future appointments and what's sad is that the person who took the call didn't inquire as to why two patients are deciding to no longer seek care from your office. Honestly, we should have trusted the reviews before being seen here. Sad that they do business like this. TRUST THEIR RATING! This means do not waste your insurance/money/time here. He did so for me even though the tooth he worked on had a root canal and could not feel pain any more. I had to get a crown worked on right before surgery and he got me in and worked out a fix in order to avoid any dental issues being a problem. He tries to keep costs down and is so nonchalant about it. I trust him with my and my daughter's teeth and would recommend him to any and everyone. He is a genuinely caring person and will listen to your needs! I'm grateful for him.

Called the office when they opened . On hold long enough to drive over and be IN the parking lot when they FINALLY picked up. They told me to have a seat and they would get to me. This place was amazing!!!…read more Two days ago, I broke a tooth....I was in so much pain, I couldn't sleep or focus on anything. I then found out that dentists don't work fridays in Nkrth Carolina. So I went to google to find me a dentist. I called 20 or so dentists, that either didn't answer or said they couldn't help me. They answered, and sounded compassionate and since over the phone, and said get up here we will get you taken care of. I drove an hour and a half to get there, they quickly registered me and go me into a treatment chair. Dr. Zahir came in shortly there after and got me numbed up, and then went back to treating her current patient....thank god. They did not make me sit in a waiting room in pain, I actually started to doze off, since the pain was gone. Dr zahir came back and discussed my treatment options, and the she quickly managed my tooth. I am so thankful for her and her amazing staff. Will definitely recommend to everyone.

Horrible Office Management. I requested my sons records and waited the 30 days the office has to…read moreeither provide the records or give a written notice of a delay. After 30 days and not receiving my sons records the office Manager tried to make excuses regarding office policy as the reason I had not received my sons records. Office policy does not supersede HIPPA requirements. At first I was only able to recieve a few xrays which were also sent to a third party who was not included on my record request as an individual to recieve these records. The office Manager informed me that it was office policy that when records are requested to also send a copy of those records the the contact individual listed in their files, even if that individual is not the patient themselves. After significant back and forth with the Office Manager I finally received a small portion of my sons records but not the full file like i requested. Most of the files sent to me could not even be viewed. These files were sent to me at 5:00 on the dot when their office closes so I am forced to wait over the weekend in order to address the fact that I still have not recieved my sons records. I do not think the timing of that email is a coincidence. I have filed a complaint with HIPPA and have all the email correspondence and recordings of the phone calls with the office staff so that I have proof of the abysmal behavior of the individuals working at this office.

The dental equipment machines look rusty and paint chipping off. They are so tightly booked solid my hygienist said she needed to use the restroom but didn't have time to. The doctor did not feel my neck and jaw to detect cancer. The hygienist did not have the standard extra person to call out the 3,2,2,1 gum health numbers to which slows down the appointment.

I am the only person in the reviews who's noticed that the office doesn't answer their phones. You also see my first name clearly at the top of my review. Rather than calling, I went in to see my doctor after a weekend in pain. I was informed "that he was going into a procedure," and the staff member escorted me back to her desk. I explained my issue, which was that from the medicine I was finally prescribed, I had an infection. I had an emergency, and the care I received when I was in the office didn't extend to after-hours.  Providing exceptional customer care and service can't be your top priority when, in fact, your phone calls--I know "customer" calls--go straight to voicemail. I sit in the office at every visit, and I do not hear or see anyone answer a phone call. No one. As the staff member listened to my concerns, in hindsight another staff member (brunette, with a ponytail) came and sat right next to us. Pretending to stare at the computer screen, "being nosey" and "eavesdropping," which was unprofessional, especially when your customer realizes what you were doing. On the contrary, this woman could have been answering the phones. This is a pretty large office, and it looks like they have ample enough staff that could also cover the phones, as in other smaller dental offices with smaller staff. Whenever I ask why phone calls are going directly to voicemail, I get this look as if the individual doesn't know how to answer because I've heard all the lack of excuses. As here, you're telling me to call the office, but you don't answer the phones.

I've never had a dental visit where I wasn't anxious for the outcome. However, my first visit with Dr. Herman and I can say unless we are forced to move he will see my teeth for years. Our most recent visits, mine was okay, but they told my 16-year-old son that his teeth are going to fall out if he doesn't start brushing better. I totally get it, but I have never in my life, even as a child, had a dentist tell me my teeth are going to fall out. He was really upset about that and how the visit went overall for him. My 19-year-old son just had his appointment and told me they told him the same thing along with some other negative things, and he was also very upset and scared to death. After sharing my experiences with him about the negativity and constant lecturing, he said he also overheard conversations of patients next to him in which they were being told this is wrong, that is wrong, go see this specialist, etc. I completely understand that we need to know if there are issues with our teeth, but again, in all the dentists I've been to throughout my whole life, I have never, ever experienced such negativity and lecturing as I have with Konikoff over the past four or five years we've been with them. I have to trust my gut instinct in thinking something just isn't right here. We will be canceling our future appointments and seeking care elsewhere. And, no, I don't want to contact the office directly because I've decided our relationship with Konikoff has come to an end.
