I had 4 coin op machines there for 1 month charged me several grand and he is 0 for 4 on getting any to power on and function. He simply doesn't know how to do it, it's straight forward stuff I gave him two Wurlitzer 1100s I have a lot of experience and different collaborations/ colleagues in doing this but limited time and lots of inventory so I am always looking for new helpers. Also have older generations of family members who I grew up around working on coin op some which worked as slot and arcade techs, so I'm pretty familiar with the game. This was my first experience using him for coin op restoration, though I have worked with several other companies here in Las Vegas and honest people who make up for this sort of plague in our community. He first lied and said he had extensive experience in repairing such machines only to reveal later he did not and only knows cosmetic repairs once the machines arrived in his possession. After charging thousands of dollars, one month in no luck he says in turning any of them on yet, and he then tells me it's maybe a "bad idea to fix them after all" and tried to lowball me and buy them all for a couple hundred bucks. A fraction of the money I paid him, when I disagreed he started yelling and clenching his fists, picked up a razor (never a good escalation idea when arguing about anything) and getting in my face. Keep in mind a 1100 is like 10k-15k when pristine, the few grand of money he charged for not getting them to work wasn't enough... he wanted the equivalent of a down payment on a 6 bedroom home, all at my expense and loss. He tried to proposition me on this one day after being fired. This was one day after charging me 1200 for a used speaker he didn't even assemble, and a glass that he put on a pinball machine that (guess what, he also returned to me unrepaired). I hired a real professional to assess his work today for our future court date, the glass isn't even the right size it covers the screw holes and makes it impossible to screw in and mount the glass on the machine. It's also broken and looks like he got it from a junkyard. Some nerve... again keep in mind he is 0 for 4 on coin op restoration for me personally. Negative -1 if you include the one he dismantled and returned in a hundred pieces. He managed to drill holes and clean around the coin tray or whatever may have been in it and aside from those holes he drilled into the locks I don't see anything else done. that's really about it, not including the few grand he got out my pockets. He told me "we all learned a valuable lesson here today" on my way out, that lesson for me is quite simply do not bring your loved items, prized possessions and other valuables that you care about here unless you want to risk destroying them, having them held hostage for additional spontaneous invoices as you schedule to pick them up more broken than before. the other negative reviews are indeed true, and then they milk you for whatever they think you can afford, if they think you can't afford it they'll ask what your credit card limit is. Lots of red flags aside from these other 1 star reviews. I told him stop repairs yesterday after he sent me a 700 invoice that I paid, today when I went to pick the machines up after paying and telling him to stop what he is doing since he is 0 for 4 in 1 month, he started yelling and trying to coerce me telling me I shouldn't go into these things if I can't afford to blindly pay him without any results, then he charged me an additional $500 to release the machines back to me. Few grand in total and all 4 machines are not functional: 0 for 4, avoid avoid avoid ! Trap. I asked him would he start by cosmetic instead of mechanical repairs on his own machines (which by the way he owns only one and it's broken in his shop) he said yes I pointed to it and asked why not replace the sticker decals and he again started bullying and acting belligerent as if that takes the attention off of him being a scammer. By the way this all happened on the first of the month, go figure... those invoices were sent to me on the 30th and first of the month. Perhaps some bad financial planning as well. Super unprofessional all together everytime I have been there he has a homeless sweatshop working for him for meals, turning in their findings exploiting them for free or beneath minimum wage labor. All around ridiculous behavior and no respect or empathy. Spoke to pro appraisers and found out that he also sold me fake reprinted photographs and a modern replica Chiparus sculpture and lied and said they're original.

I found the gentleman (name withheld due to privacy issues) who came to my house and telling me in person what I wanted to hear about the costs to repair both the aesthetics and the structure of this damaged piece of art, providing an opposite review and appraisal to the insurance company - costing my nearly 2/3rds of the requested and fair reimbursement as quoted from the Artist who constructed and painted the screen himself. The nail on this 'deceitful' coffin was the Appraiser's misrepresentation of the situation, calling the structural damage to my folding room divider to be caused by 'environmental' factors, when I had repeatedly contacted the movers before, during, and sadly after the move to absolutely crate the hand-painted screen flat, as the previous seven national movers had done; Mayflower, the movers, refused to do this though they promised in both verbal and written communications that they had received and would accommodate my request. Long story short, the craters forced the screen to close in a compact crate when each fold was designed to only close to about 14 degrees. This horrible, unprofessional, and unfair Appraiser has now cost me hundreds of dollars in reimbursement, and sadly to fight this legally with the insurance company would cost me more in legal fees than what I would have been fully reimbursed. After getting the lowball estimate, I contacted the gentleman at Art Conservation Inc directly, also copying the Insurance Adjuster, to ask for specific details of how he would proceed to repair my screen and to verify what he would do, as well as confirm the amount of time and work involved; I never heard a peep back, reinforcing that this company is truly unprofessional, uncommunicative, misleading, and lacking scruples.

They would not have seen the murals because it's a one and a half mile on a dirt road, rough in spots, from where the pavement ends and they wouldn't have driven their rental. You do not need high clearance nor 4 wheel drive, but with a regular car, you need to be more careful. Chloride was a counterculture spot during the 1960s and Mr. Purcell painted the murals in 1966. I went to visit in 2008 because I had read that he returned and repainted the murals in 2006. In the 10 years since I've been there, the murals have lost some of their brightness from our sun which fades things. I also have better photos from 2008 because I had my hiking boots and I hiked to the top of the ridge to see the town of Chloride and enjoy the view of some of the paintings on the top of the ridge. This is one of those places that you need to visit. The counterculture movement of the 1960s and Mr. Purcell's run ins with the authorities over marijuana and other things are a good part of the history of this area. I also visited a couple of abandoned mines in the area. There is one still a working mine with gates and warning signs about not entering.

This was totally amazing. The road is all dirt to get here just make sure you are driving something that can handle the rocks and all. This was done out in no where. Totally nothing around just the town you drive through to get to it. A artist painted Murals and pictures all over the rocks out in this area. He use to work in the mines and he decide to paint and let me tell you he did a really nice job and it is very interesting! I love seeing things like this. I can only imagine how peaceful it was for him to paint out there. It was so quiet while we were there no one around. (Actually a little spooky feeling) Like the hills have eyes lol Make sure to have some walking shoes you can see the path to the paintings there are alot of rocks and all dirt. Not to far to drive if your taking a ride from Vegas. Head over the hoover dam and just keep going till you get to Chloride. They do have polite people and do decent work but I did not have a good experience with their repair business. An annual inspection turned up a couple of small problems - low refrigerant in a system and a nearly failed condenser fan in another. No argument with that conclusion so I said go ahead with fixes. Got the invoice and should have paid more attention - a price gouge of epic proportions. Here's what I sent them that got rejected by their system: PS - registered professional engineer who should have paid more attention. 'I was not here when this work was finished, and I have no issue at all with the technician and work performed. He was professional. I agreed to all of the work. But I regret now not doing additional homework on the cost. A one pound 410a add should cost more like $100 at the high end all in. Easy to find on google or Yelp), given you can get a 25 lb Jug in the range of $250. And yes, there is labor and overhead in that , but for for a 30 minute job $325 seems excessive. I also was able to source the replacement fan motor with an identical Lennox model# from a number of sources- from around $200. Again, that doesn't include labor. So if I'm generous, you got $300 in parts, add 20% for miscellaneous. And yes, I get that there is 'Bob's guarantee' and you have overhead, but an 1800+ bill for less than two labor hours of work, make it 3 with travel time and even at 150 per hour - and maybe 450 in parts and material -the total markup at 2x is to me excessive. Plus your billing is deficient in the level of detail so it's even hard to understand how you could add it up to that much. My wife paid the bill of course, but with these prices even though the service is good I won't be using or recommending Bobs for repairs in the future. I'll do my homework.' PS - last postscript. You may have noticed Bob's no longer responds to Yelp reviews. Must be too busy. Or they don't care. Neither one is a good sign.

It's been the same dirt lot since the house was built over a decade ago. JJ and associate came out quickly and made me feel really comfortable. There was no weird upselling (I wanted something really plain) and no fear mongering. I could tell immediately that we were going to go with Rock N Block so I cancelled my other appointment with a different company and put my deposit down right away. Within hours, JJ had the plans to me and I got the HOA paperwork started. Once that was done, I was scheduled immediately to have my yard worked on. The day of, the workers came, did a final measurement and got to work. It took 3 days but it came out exactly like I was promised and had envisioned myself. The workers were extremely friendly and self contained. They were responsible and trustworthy. They were also very concerned with my happiness. They asked me if things were looking good quite a few times. They literally made my yard perfect. I'm still looking for imperfections and cannot find them. If there were any complaints, the communication could be more but to be honest, they give information and don't feel the need to consistently remind you, which is also good. We did have a small hiccup where the workers didn't know they had to install a few other things but JJ made it right immediately and I can only be happy about that. I'd rather have the problem be solved immediately then get a phone call being told it would be done, although I can see how some people would want both. Pricing was fair in my opinion. I was told it should have been less expensive but I don't think so. The job is immaculate and the items are gorgeous with great quality. The craftsmanship means a lot to me and I would pay for it again. I wish I took some before pictures but I completely forgot to. Imagine a literal nothing of a yard. Now, it's gorgeous and I can't wait to accessorize!

For $400 he glued the neck where it was starting to split and dressed the frets. I got the bass back and the action wasn't set tight. The strings were too high. I turned the truss rod, and the neck split apart. I took it back to him, and I asked him to remove the neck. Then I found a neck for it and asked him to glue it on for me. He refused and closed his business. I'm out $400, and I have to find someone else to do his work for him. What a waste of time and money working with this guy. He lied to me every chance he could, just like all the rest of the music business people in Southern Nevada.

While waiting in the lobby for Adam to put some finishing touches on one of my instruments, I was able to observe Neil Smith working on an electric 6-string bass. He was testing the neck from top to bottom playing soft and loud. Then he turned his attention to the pick-ups. There was no question in my mind that he knew exactly what he was doing. I have a Tylor T5z. So far it has no issues, but I know where I will take it for repairs, should that ever become necessary.

We are so glad to have stopped in. We were the only customers in the place for about an hour and Randy truly made it feel like personalized, VIP buying experience. The showroom was adorned with essentially the entire line of Yamaha CLP-800 series pianos, and some very nice acoustic grand pianos as well. As for the buying experience: Randy was informative, not pushy. He presented the differences between the Yamaha Clavinova CLP/CSP lines to us in a straightforward way, not trying to embellish anything. He essentially allowed the pianos to "speak for itself" and was patient in answering our questions the entire time. And he was friendly, personable, and a true professional. We learned that Randy is the #1 Yamaha dealer in the country! My wife and I walked out of there confident in our decision to forego the Roland and picking the Yamaha CLP-885 from this store. We got our piano not only delivered, but also assembled, and moved into our living room by Randy's delivery partners within a few days. Do not hesitate to visit Las Vegas Pianos and ask for Randy before deciding on where and when to buy your next piano. You will not regret it.

I do not know why some people are having issues. As a classical pianist and a veteran, I have some…read moredifficult standards. This is the 3rd piano I am buying from Las Vegas pianos. First, they honored my Roland digital entry level keyboard, form another music store, at full value. I was able to trade that in for a Yamaha 725. Then, for my 3rd piano, i was able to upgrade that to a Yamaha 745. The difference is it had wood instead of synthetic wood, along with the keyboards had ivory like, feel. Finally, I was able to purchase a Yamaha U1 Acoustic piano, with some time and patience and this is my 4th piano but 3rd from Randy. #1 he is quite knowledgeable about pianos and has worked with for example BYU's music department. He knows the in's and outs of piano's so again I do not get why people like Ed or Stephanie wer leaving bad reviews, maybe they were having a bad day. I would not go back three times if Randy was a bad business person. I find him to be honest and up front. To make things right because it did take a bit longer than expected for the piano to arrive, Randy hooked up a lovely matching white piano bench, that is of very good quality. If you have any problems or issues, do not hesitate to call, he will solve it. I also like the fact that you get a free tune and they even tune it before they move it to your house. I recommend waiting for 6 months in between tunes. Side note, if you can't tune a piano like me, I recommend having Randy bring a tuner to your house. On my Yamaha 745 digital piano the mother board got fried. However because it was under warranty and Randy stands by his products, the tech swapped out a new one for me. Also for digital pianos, they give you two years to match you with 100%. However if it is acoustic then it is for life.
