After visiting Paisley Park and soaking in the legacy of Prince, we made our way to Soul Bowl in Minneapolis -- and let me tell you, this place did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the energy was uplifting, the music had us vibing, and the staff greeted us with genuine smiles and that unmistakable Southern hospitality. The first thing we noticed was how clean and inviting the space was -- bright, organized, and full of personality. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable, like you're about to enjoy something special. The Southern Hospitality Bowl was comfort food perfection -- every bite bursting with flavor and soul. The Queen B Lemonade was equally impressive, sweet and tangy with just the right kick of refreshment. And then there were the Crab Bowl Wings -- crispy, seasoned to perfection, and unlike anything I've had before. Absolute must-try! Between the spotless environment, the friendly staff, and the incredible food, Soul Bowl delivers an experience that's as warm and welcoming as it is delicious. After a day celebrating Prince's legacy, this spot was the perfect way to keep that joyful, soulful energy going. Also I can't stress enough how Important customer service is and JT IS AMAZING!!!!! Please make sure you all make sure you take care of her!!!

I used to go here when it was at Graze and this is my first time eating at their new location. Pretty easy to find street parking. Didnt make reservations, just walked in and ordered. Plenty of room to seat yourself and eat. There was multiple people there and waiting for food and I know the chicken was made fresh, but it did take a bit of time to come out. Food was delicious as always and they have a station with in house sauces that are amazing. Will definitely be returning.

When I come to the cities, I come specifically for African diasporic food. This place was highly rated so I came to give it a try. The cashier/waiter was a sweetheart. The restaurant dripped in black art. Tables were cleaned when the cashier was finished taking orders. It was a vibe. I really loved that were playing Martin on their tv screen. My daughter had never seen the show but that exposure made her want me to play it. Overall a great experience. Just want the chef to be a little lighter handed with the salt on the chicken.

First, I love the pastries you can buy to-go. This review though is for their cooking class. Be…read moreaware that you will be seated with a group of 6 and you'll have to work with them to decide who does what tasks, since not everyone will get to try making everything. I attended solo but luckily really liked the group I was assigned to. We wanted everyone to work on things they enjoy and allowed everyone to try some parts of the important tasks (making pasta and pastry dough). Your enjoyment might really depend on what your group is like. You can buy wine and beer to drink while you take the class, and those were reasonably priced I thought! $9 for a glass of wine and I think $8 for beer. The class was chaotic since we were making three courses and things needed to be done at different times, but the chaos felt like how it really is in a kitchen making multi course menus, so that didn't bother me! The assistants were great and helped us stay on track and helped if we were struggling with anything. I can't say I learned much from the class (which is why I only gave 4 stars), but I sure had a lot of fun!

Living in the North Loop, Cooks Bellecour was hands-down our most visited spot--and for good…read morereason! This place is a slice of French heaven right in Minneapolis. Their pastries? Pure magic. The chocolate almond croissant is next level--flaky, buttery, and packed with rich, decadent flavor. And don't even get me started on the breakfast sandwiches--they're gourmet-level masterpieces. Every bite is perfection. The vibe & service here is warm and inviting, with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries filling the air. Whether you're grabbing a coffee, treating yourself to a pastry, or diving into one of their soups or salads, this place nails it every time. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Cooks Bellecour is an absolute gem!
