I don't venture out often for breakfast because I have my regular spots but Longfellow grill pleasantly surprised me! You can definitely tell it's scratch cooked food and what a great breakfast experience. The coffee was incredible and I loved the big mugs. I had a taste for something warm and savory so I decided to try their chicken wild rice soup with bacon and it was SO GOOD! Creamy, decadent, and fulfilling. Perfect way to start the early afternoon. The pumpkin pancakes were yummy but a bit too dense and fluffy for me. I prefer a crispy thin pancake. The hash browns with onions and peppers was by far my favorite! Huge portion, everything was seasoned well, and our coffee kept us warm and cozy. Our server was so sweet and attentive. And the restaurant just feels like such a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend!

Foods are consistently good. A bit pricey. But have good happy hours. Daily 2-6pm even weekend. There's a martini. Which is a mashed potato as dips for potato chips. Sounds weird but actually pretty good. All those carbs. How can it not

Beautiful day to sit on the patio! Beers & a spritz + brunch / appetizers. Service was great! Food was beautiful & delicious.

Had met some family members here for a late breakfast and was surprised with how delcious everything was! Our waitress was attentive, very friendly and awnsered all of our questions before ordering. The Hot Honey hash is a must try along with their French toast! I am weird about sausages and theirs were so delicious!

Place is a go to! Lobster Bisque is some of the best in the twin cities. Service is always great and super clean inside the restaurant

The food and the ambiance are top notch. Every dish I've gotten has been delicious. This includes the breakfast burrito, salmon scramble, chicken and French toast, Oatmeal, and breakfast gnocchi. The service is friendly and efficient. It's a bonus that they're open on Mondays and have a parking lot behind the building. The mugs are great too.

Great breakfast/brunch spot! Our server was kind and everyone's food was amazing, highly recommend this place as an alternative to a diner which has all the classic American breakfast items and more!

Great place for elevated comfort food. My friend and I had great service and food on a weekday evening. Walleye shrimp slider - 5/5. The slaw and capers on the slider were a great complement to the walleye shrimp cake. Brussels sprouts - 2/5. Had obviously been boiled first then deep fried later. The insides were bland and watery and most of the outlet leaves came off. Flavor was dine but couldn't overcome the squishy texture and lack of flavor of the center of the sprouts. Steak and pierogies - 4.5/5. Steak was tender and pierogis were perfectly crisp on the outside. The Asian-ish sauce on the steak didn't work for the dish, but great otherwise. Grilled salmon - 5/5. salmon was moist, mashed potatoes had great flavor, and asparagus was beautiful Carrot cake - 4.5/5. Great flavor and moist cake. I just wanted more texture from more coarsely grated carrots or nuts, or even pineapple or coconut. We had amazing service from Haley - she made great recommendations, checked in on us many times and anticipated our needs - refills, extra plates, to-go containers, etc)

It was a beautiful fall evening and after a 4 mile hike along the Mississippi we were famished. The patio had heater for this cool brisk evening. The wallleye was crisp and seasoned perfectly. The spaghetti and meatball had the biggest meatball I've ever seen. I was a little perplexed as to why apples were mixed into the veggies that came with the walleye. Stunning views and a busy patio were a big draw. Service was great. Parking can get a bit tricky on busy days.

I really like this place and I am happy it survived covid. I always get steak and perogies and I keep getting them. I say every time I am going to try something else but I sit down in front of the menu and order steak and perogies again and again. my only issue with the modern telling of this dish is that I had to ask for a side of the horsradish cream more than the little dabble under the perogies. The kids meals were truly great. My daughter loved loved loved her expirience. I am now hungry for steak and perogies again...

Ambiance: we sat outside on the patio which was kept fairly simple and standard! Umbrellas for coverage, allowed pets, and furniture was basic. Nothing particularly memorable, but was good enough! Service: our waitress was very kind and checked in once to make sure everything was going well m. She offered substitutions whenever dietary restrictions were present, and was overall a great host Food: I ordered the French toast chicken stack and substituted the gravy for hollandaise sauce and it was incredible! Super hearty and filling and the chicken was breaded and cooked to perfection.

I had the All Tapped Up burger which was even better than the server described! One call out I saw was an old lady had fallen on the street. Multiple people were trying to help her get up, but it was one strapping lad from the restaurant staff that came out and lifted her up, literally. He just helped her then went right back to work! I was very impressed by him. If anyone does read this and know who he was, give him all the props!

With some updates I asked the server their favorite item and went with the suggestion and wow... this burger was top notch. Tapped Burger (it was so tasty and a perfect mix of some sweet in with the salty. Bourbon bacon jam, truffle aioli, white cheddar and iceberg lettuce on a brioche bun big yum factor) Pickle Fries and Homemade Ranch (these are the good good ones. Cut the long way, crunchy batter and really good ranch yes please. NOTE: only there on Thursdays) Sweet Potato Fries and their Chipotle Peanut Aioli (I enjoy sweet potato fries but everyone does them differently so I usually let someone else get them and take a mental note. Went for it and so glad I did. These were PERFECT. Tasted like a real sweet potato was cut and lightly fried to make soft but solid fries, the dip is pretty awesome too, you just gotta get them) Also pictured is their cheeseburger with an extra patty - all of their burgers and sauces are delish. It's a really cozy moody interior, with *no big lights* aka great low lighting and comfy seating options. When we went, there were just a few other parties there so pretty quiet. I liked that we had a whole corner to ourselves with a sectional couch of sorts and some chairs. They close at 10pm on a Friday night, which felt absurdly early for a cocktail bar. But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but we enjoyed our time and could see this being a good option if you lived in the neighborhood and don't mind the early close hours.
