I'm all for supporting Filipino businesses! Ordered the buko pandan specialty coffee and it was really delicious. Don't let the bright green color dissuade you! Who knew that the nutty, toasty, herbal pandan and the smooth creamy buko/coconut would pair nicely with a cold brew? Not me until today. I would describe the taste as a nice balance between caramel and vanilla... something earthy but subtle and hits the spot. They also have your staples including ube and other Asian-inspired flavors. It was a little bit hard to locate initially as the cafe is tucked within a business center and there's only a small decal on the window indicating where it is, but hopefully over time, they can include more signage so more people can support this business! read more

Stopped into Soul Coffee this morning and met the owners Ren and Caysen, who could not be more welcoming! The shop itself is in an awkward location, in an office building on a small side road, but they have done an amazing job building a warm cafe vibe with a record/music section and quaint seating. When I noticed they had condensed milk, I asked if they could do something like Vietnamese iced coffee and Ren whipped up a double espresso beverage that did not disappoint. Absolutely LOVED Soul Coffee! I came for a Saturday morning with my girlfriend to catch up and this was the perfect spot. We sat in the back, towards the business area, and it was nice and quiet for us to yap. I got the latte and the espresso was strong, had great flavor! My girlfriend had the ube latte and the flavor was incredible! We also had the cinnamon roll, which was HUGE and amazingly tasty! I would absolutely return to try other drinks and sweet treats! Okay soul coffee! I definitely enjoyed my Saturday morning visit to soul coffee. The cute touch of being able to play a vinyl or take a cd player and vibe as a way to put your phone done even if for a second was great. The owners/employees here are super welcoming and kind! Their menu has a great selection of unique flavors and unlike some coffee shops I've been to they know exactly the right amount of sweetness to include in a drink. Their pastry options were also great and they were timely and helpful. The space is a bit small but they'll be moving soon to a larger location and I can only imagine things getting even better from here. Soul is a great place to check out and even become a regular at. Stopped by Soul Coffee, a cozy little coffeehouse tucked inside Convergence CoWorking and this spot has soul for real. Soul is known for fusing Asian-inspired flavors into their coffee, so I had to try one of their specialties. I went with The Alma : vanilla, mocha, marshmallow fluff, made with oat milk. Smooth, balanced, and straight-up comforting. Shoutout to Ren behind the bar. He got busy, but still kept things moving with great energy, friendly vibes, and quality drinks coming out on point. Decided to try Soul Coffee this morning and it was amazing! The Black Sesame Latte had a rich flavor that combined perfectly with the coffee. I also had their garlic bread and it was delicious. As for the environment, it is located in an office building but the area was spacious and the vibes were great. They also support small artists so go check out the art they display in store as well. This spot is a bit of a hidden gem -- tucked inside a business building with two identical doors (make sure to enter through the right one). The proudly displayed Philippine flag immediately caught my eye -- and my heart -- seeing my home country represented so boldly was definitely a PLUS! We were warmly welcomed by Ren, whose kind and generous nature shone through as he guided us through the menu and shared his thoughts on our questions. Selections: Lila Latte (Large, Hot with Oat Milk) I usually go for a smaller size, but decided to indulge with a large today. The house-made Ube blend added a soft, earthy sweetness that paired beautifully with the oat milk -- creating a smooth, refined flavor without any harsh bitterness. If you're an Ube lover (like me!), I'd recommend asking for extra Ube flavoring in the large size. Absolutely enjoyed this one! Buko Pandan (Large, Hot with Oat Milk) This creation was a delight! Super friendly and helpful service and very tasty drinks with some options you don't see anywhere else like ube and black sesame. Will definitely be returning to try more things. I first found this place through a friend's IG story and saw that they are also filipino owned with some Filipino flavors so I had to come and try! I was a bit confused at first when I entered the area. It looked like offices only but there was a sign in the front door that soul coffee was here so that helped! When I went, the barista greeted my warmly and made sure to answer any questions I had. The owners were away on their wedding so the barista was a friend helping them out while they're away, usually its the owners working the cafe. I had the Lila Latte (espresso with an Ube base) and I asked to add the infamous marshmallow fluff hehe. It was cute and the drink tasted great. Im the type of coffee drinker where I WANT to taste the coffee and I like bold yet smooth beans and the beans they use is exactly that. I tried the polvoron they sold, they are made by a local (also filipino) lady that stocks her goods at Soul Coffee. And when I took a bite, it tasted like childhood. I love polvoron thats not too powdery and this one is more like a shortbread yet soft enough for that classic feel of it. It paired well with my coffee :) The vibe if the cafe is very quiet and calm. It is in a building of offices and I think a co-working space so it is a great space for working if you need to study or cowork or remote work. Thanks and i'll be back for sure! This place is 30 minutes from my house. Have I been here twice? Absolutely! The staff is so friendly, they know their stuff. From homemade flavors to high quality ingredients, you won't be disappointed. It is such a great place to work remotely from too. It is located in a co-op working space with meeting rooms and open areas. The area for the coffee shop obviously doesn't charge and you still get the cute style. I get iced matcha lattes with lavender. So good! I often add a little sweetener as well. The barista was so kind and gave me a bonus matcha with their jasmine flavor. Check out their updated hours. Just moved to Jacksonville and looking for some good coffee shops. This is definitely it!! We love that their coffee flavors taste real... not that artificial, sugary sweet taste. Just good coffee done right. I got the black sesame latte which was delicious. Very good black sesame flavor, and tasted like it was actually made from black sesame seeds (not a powder). Reminded me of black sesame soup that my grandma would make from scratch for us in the best way. Would def get again. Husband got the ube latte which was also good! We did prefer the black sesame latte slightly more. Service was great! Run by a husband/wife couple. Super friendly people. We chatted about our love for PNW coffee (this was a green flag that our coffee was gonna be goooooood!). Only downside for us is location... a bit of a drive for us and we wish they were located in a bigger spot as it is a bit tucked away. But we will be back!!! read more
