Went for a quickie Cappucino and got the Vanilla sugar that was recommended by the Barista and it was really delicious, the design was a cute touch too. Grabbed a large Chocolate Chip as well, this one did have some salt on it. It was alright and never had this taste before. Very relaxing spot and has that friendly vibe here at 5 Points. Parking may be a bit tough especially during the summer days. read more

I don't make it to this part of town often enough! But when I do, I try to make it a point to swing into Brew. This trip I got a Lavender Latte. I always love lavender lattes and Brew is near the top of my list for them! No different this time around. Delicious. The pastries are also quite impressive. The chocolate chip cookies are my personal favorite. Perfectly chewy and the chocolate chips are really chunks and very good chocolate. They're almost always super busy but they fly thru their orders as fast as can be while still not sacrificing quality. Everyone is so nice! And it seems like they all enjoy working there. I usually take my orders to go but they have an adorable space with a good amount of seating. TLDR - if you're looking for great coffee anywhere around the five points area... this is the place! read more

I happened to be in five points and wanted another cup of Java. I bought a coffee and a cookie. I was disappointed with the old & cold coffee and the $4.00 was pretty, but could not eat it. I do like the vibe here, so hopefully i can update with a more favorable review. Pros:very nice employees and vibe. Indoor and outdoor dining. Very clean bathrooms. Stopped by for a strawberry matcha and stayed for the beautiful flowers! I loved the matcha, but i will get extra strawberry next time. All of the pastries looked very fresh, i had just eaten when i gor theee but i will be back to try. Service was fast and the cashier was very friendly. read more

Hmmmmm, cozy goodness! I'm on this side of town & got over here early & thought- there's got to be a good coffee spot right here and there was! I parked right out front and could see the long line, so I waited for it to die down before going in & suggested an update for their hours listed on Yelp. I kept it simple, brown sugar vanilla hot latte & al la carte slice of quiche. My belly is so happy right now! The coffee was delicious, seriously just comfort in a cup. The quiche hit the spot! Got their seasonal latte a couple of weeks ago - believe it was strawberry. Just incredible, wow, no notes. Very coffee forward, well balanced, the strawberry perfectly complemented the slightly acidic (in the best way) coffee. My favorite so far in JAX. read more

I had never heard of BREW but the wife needed coffee so BREW here we are. I wasn't planning on getting anything but then I saw they had Kolaches so I had to try one... Well I tried two... I went with a Sausage and Cheese and a Chorizo. The Sausage and Cheese was very good. I thought it was going to be more of a sausage link when it actually was a sausage patty. The was a pleasant surprise. I will for sure be getting that one again. Now the Chorizo unfortunately was just kinda bland and you expect so much flavor for Chorizo in the first please. This one I would for sure past on. I would for sure come back for another tasty Kolaches when I need a quick bite in 5 Points/Riverside. Plus their are so many more to try. read more

Breakfast at Brew Five Points just hits different. Their Breakfast Tacos are loaded, flavorful, and straight up crave worthy. The Blueberry Dirty Iced Chai is smooth, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to sip. And the Kolache Sammy? Always my go to. Comforting, satisfying, and never misses. I absolutely enjoyed the coffee here. My go to - iced latte definitely hit the spot of being rich and creamy. I also ordered the Cortado and he also enjoyed that. Even though I ordered take out, for the brief time I was in here, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Even saw that had a book club going here monthly. The pastries also looked really good. Decided to pop in for a quick bite and some coffee. The pastry I ate was wonderful! The bread was sweet and savory and came with cheese and a sausage in the middle -- It was so good! I didn't want any espresso since I came in around 3pm so I decided to just get a cup of their drip coffee. I'm not sure how long the pot had been sitting there but it was so gross. The coffee tasted extremely bitter and almost sour. I'm typically a black coffee type of person but this was so bad. Tempted to return it and get another dream, but didn't want to go through the hassle. Maybe next time I'll try something else. read more

This coffee shop is great, you can tell that their ingredients are fresh. I've tried both their coffee and Matcha and both were delicious! I can be picky with these two drinks because most places are taste artificial and sugary, but these tasted like real ingredients. Their food looks awesome as well from what I have seen being brought out to customers. They are a great local find! read more

Brew Five Points is a little tight on space, but the cozy layout actually adds to the excellent atmosphere. I love that they keep the lighting dimmed down a bit, which provides a really pleasant escape when the sun is bright outside. The music hits the perfect volume loud enough to enjoy but never distracting.As for the food? It is absolutely to die for! The menu offers options that feel a bit healthier than your average heavy breakfast. The Texas toast sandwich is delicious, and we also tried the brisket tacos. To top it off, the coffee is subliminal a rich, flavorful dark roast. This has easily become a regular spot for us. read more

This was my first visit to BREW. Boy have I been missing out! I went early on a recent Saturday morning which happened to be the seasonal return for their homemade vanilla bean marshmallows. I'm usually a year-round ice coffee gal, but I had to get a hot latte so I could properly dunk the toasted marshmallow after a few bites. The level of deliciousness even exceeded my expectations! In addition to the marshmallow, I also added their brown butter pecan syrup to the latte. Honestly, I'm getting annoyed that I'm at home & not there enjoying another latte right now. It was THAT good! Oh I didn't stop at coffee though. I enjoyed a corn breakfast taco (grilled corn, cotija cheese, chimi fried egg, & chile crema) that was so yummy that I wished I'd ordered two. I also ordered a salted caramel apple scone to-go. I tried a bite of it as soon as I got home & it took A LOT of restraint not to devour the entire thing right then. Carried out at Brew recently on a Saturday morning. Not my first time there but it was my first time trying one of their breakfast sandwiches. Brew has carry out, dine in or cafe style. Inside is really hip and features local art. We placed the order online and it was ready within 15 minutes. When I arrived, the place was packed. All of those people knew what I didn't know prior. Brew is THE place in Riverside to get a great breakfast sandwich. Truly an elevated breakfast sandwich. I live the idea of the hash brown being right on the sandwich. Great cheese, great sausage and the sesame bagel was truly unique and delicious. Slightly lighter than a normal bagel, and extremely fresh. The cinnamon roll was stellar as well. We hadn't eaten in Five Points before and went looking for a breakfast place that fit in with the quirky character of the area. I think we succeeded with BREW. This cozy all-day breakfast diner is in the building that once held the Riverside Theatre, which in 1927 became the first theater in Florida to show movies with sound. Today this diner has the timeless look of a place locals have been coming forever, and when you try the food you'll understand why. I had the OG breakfast taco, which has bacon, white cheddar, avocado, pickled red onion and a chimi fried egg with Cholula hot sauce. I liked it so much I went back up and ordered a second. There's some magic going on in this taco between the fried egg and the rest of the ingredients. I am not entirely sure what's making it so good but I plan to return for further study. read more

The corn taco is the star of the show. We had a little bit of confusion when we first walked in since some patrons were having a conversation in the doorway but after that we had a good time. The space is small so it works well for what they have and the food was really good. I will dream of the corn breakfast taco. I got the goat cheese pepper jelly toast and ended up with two matchas since I didn't see the specials board until after paying. It's in riverside so parking is what it is but it's worth it. read more

It is our regular local treat spot. Some of our favorites include cortados and the breakfast bean tacos. We like the spice cakes, scones, and cookies. The toasted marshmallow in anything is great when there's a real Florida cold air happening. It is very sweet but we have gotten it added to a latte w espresso to have balance. BREW Five Points gets five stars. I absolutely loooove this coffee shop. Over our 2 day stay in Jacksonville, we came to BREW 3 times. With their coined slogan of "not bad", this spot is definitely not bad at all. It's so good, actually. Great even! We first came here looking for a quick morning pick-me-up and some brekkie. After a search on Yelp, we found out our airbnb was only a short 5 minute walk to get here. With the cooler weather, we had a great walk through Riverside park and to this coffee shop. It's situated in a small little area with Hawkers, fun shops, and the Sunray cinema. It was lively on a Saturday morning with what seemed to be a mix of regulars and newcomers. After looking through their menu, we decided on a some drinks and a kolache sandwich. Everything was so good! From my matcha to the the sandwich, I still dream about both. The kolache sandwich is your style of egg in between whatever kolache you choose. I did the cheese and sausage with a scrambled egg. The scrambled egg comes in a compact, fluffy cube. Perfection. On our other trips back, I always got the matcha and my partner tried their almost everything off their seasonal menu. He even added their toasted marshmallow. This will definitely be a go-to spot if we're ever back in Jax! Until then, I will cherish my BREW Five Points tote. (Yes, of course I got the tote.) read more

We came to Jacksonville for a show at 5 and we stayed in the neighborhood. Always looking for a good coffee and breakfast spot we found this gem. The service was quick and kind. Stopped in on a cold Saturday morning after dropping my pup off across the street. This place is packed and I see why. The small tables are filled with locals enjoying their beverages and a cool laid back Saturday morning 5 Points vibe. I got a brown sugar vanilla hot latte and it's delicious. I didn't get food but I'm watching, and the bkfst sandwiches I'm seeing look huge and mouth-watering. There are pastries up front too. Can't wait to check out more of their extensive menu! "Not bad." Their slogan says it all. I would come here over and over, not just for the coffee, but for the kolaches. I had never had one before and didn't know what to expect - there are a variety of flavors and both the everything and garlic ones were fantastic. The place itself has several tables and bar-style seating as well. I love BREW a latte :-) This is a wonderful little cafe with amazing coffee, tea, desserts, and food. I love grabbing a cold brew with vanilla syrup or my all time fave, the dirty chai (definitely one of the best in Jax). Now when it comes to delicious baked treats, they have the good stuff!! I'm obsessed with the earl grey shortbread cookie and of course their kolaches. Everyday they have a tasty selection of treats. Their food menu is great too, take a look and try one of their breakfast options. I really enjoy their breakfast burrito. The cafe is great for sitting in to work and sip a coffee or for take out. I went to brew for a silent disco event on Friday night. It was absolutely absolutely amazing! I loved the indoor/outdoor set up. Let me show my face real quick, I didn't have any food or beverages except bottled water, but I tell you what I was so impressed with this event. We ordered our food and, for how slow it was inside, the wait felt longer than it should have been. The restaurant wasn't very busy at all, with more people sitting outside than inside. Unfortunately, most of the food came out lukewarm. My roast beef sandwich and potatoes were barely warm, like they'd been sitting for a while, and the bottom bread was completely soaked. Our daughter's grilled cheese came out with the cheese not even melted, so we sent that back along with my sandwich. The salmon and quinoa also arrived lukewarm. The fried fish was cooked too long in the fryer and wasn't great. The bright spot was the short rib tacos my wife ordered. She said those were really good and probably the best thing we had. I do want to give credit where it's due. Our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. He genuinely saved the experience for us and handled everything with a great attitude. Bathrooms were also clean, which I always appreciate. Overall, the experience was average. Not a top pick for me, but I'd be open to giving it another try in the future to see if things improve. Their french fries come drenched in a disgusting garlic oil and cheap grated parmesan. It's bad cooking dressed up to look fancy without any understanding of the basics. The restaurant fits as well. Its ugly artwork is accompanied by furniture that looks like it was ripped out of a Le Pain Quotidien. The cakes look amazing, and the bar is nicely designed and well stocked, but neither saves the drab surrealist-cafeteria vibe of this pretentious establishment.
