Solid rolls! I had the seafood trio to taste them all. Initially I ordered on their website directly. After driving around for 20 minutes to find parking I called and they had not received my order. Uber Eats or Door Dash must be the preferred. Or call! Anywho, Uber Eats delivered. It was cold. I don't believe the other lobsters rolls I had were cold. These were and still good. Can be easy to miss if you're walking too quickly, you do have to descend a few Pros: - delicious, and great value in my opinion since lobster ain't cheap. - Fast service - Clean space with lots of tables to sit - they didn't charge us extra money to make it warm, which they do at other Luke's locations in Boston - didn't feel too hot inside Cons: - while the lobster was really good, it didn't taste as fresh as it does in Boston. For my seafood roll lovers out here this place is the one!!! You can mix and match each mini roll of three, so shrimp on one, lobster on one, crab on one, or which ever combination you'd like! I personally got those specific 3 as well as well as a bowl of their New England creamy clam chowder and a bottled root beer! With saltines of course! They were all very filling and I think my favorite may have been the lobster you could just tell how fresh it was. I think they're mediocre. I didn't like the cold shrimp roll at all. The lobster was ok, the crab roll was good. If I got back I would probably get the whole crab roll and see if they can toast it. I had stopped in for the first time and ordered take out. The guy that rang me up was very nice and greeted me right away and gave me the rundown of the food/menu. It was just a few minute wait and I could tell my food was handled with care. He even asked and put the butter on the side so things traveled better. 10/10! Food, service, ambiance were all there! I walked over to Luke's from my hotel for a quick bite to eat. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, placed my order, and was out the door in less than 10 minutes. I walked back to my hotel and immediately dug in. I got the trio because I wanted to try each kind, although my craving was specifically for a lobster roll. My favorite was the lobster, followed by the crab as a close second. The shrimp I could do without in the future. It's definitely tasty, but the shrimp were really cold in comparison to the lobster and crab. I was not impressed. I ordered the 6 oz Crab Roll. And for $27....I expected a delicious sandwich and a big portion. Although the crab meat seemed to be fresh... it lacked flavor. The sandwich was very dry, flavorless, and much smaller than I expected. I would have preferred a tuna hoagie from Wawa instead honestly. The Crab Roll was basically crab meat piled on a little hotdog roll. It would've help tremendously to add some type of sauce and maybe Old Bay seasoning. I came in because I had seen a post about a $20 limited deal, but safe to say this spot is now my favorite and I'll be coming in regularly! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I tried Luke's Lobster Rittenhouse for the first time in the Philadelphia location. I will say that these lobster rolls were not the best I've had as there was not as much seasoning as I was expecting and as the names of the rolls implied. Though I had purchased two different rolls, I felt as if I had ordered the same and could not really differentiate between the two. Though I was not very impressed with the seasoning of their Spicy Honey Butter Lobster Roll and Truffle Butter Lobster roll, I would like to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt as I did walk in in the last ten minutes of the day. The workers were very kind and were able to serve us even though they were ten minutes from closing. I will also say that it was my first time trying blueberry soda and I was OBSESSED! Picked up some takeout for dinner along Schuykill on one of my last days as a tourist here. Luke's had great reviews, so I figured why not? Man, things close hella early in Philly...even on prime weekend nights. How do people get their food after 8pm? I ordered via phone since their online system was a little janky since I was placing an order close to closing time. The gal at the front desk/phone was so sweet and prompt. I got the Luke's trio which was 3 mini halves of a shrimp, lobster and crab roll each, and a bag of chips. My favorite was actually the crab roll...so delicious! I wouldn't say I was entirely full, but I was satisfied with my meal especially great for people who like to taste a bit of everything on the menu. I know they're famous for their lobster rolls, but I was looking to pay less than $30 for a one person dinner. Their lobster roll trio looked SO delicious with a bunch of different flavored lobster rolls (same size as the Luke's trio), but it was closer to $40, which I couldn't justify on my budget. I couldn't justify coming here often, since I felt like $30 for three various rolls should've been more filling. BUT I do have to say the flavors of the fresh seafood were tasty. Very good lobster roll, especially the bread. It was nice and fresh and had just the right amount of butter. If you are looking for a good lobster roll I'd recommend coming here. I got the 6 oz roll but could've gone with the 4 oz and been fine. A little pricey as well but that's just lobster. What I got was 38$ so be prepared to spend. I visited Luke's Lobster in Philly last October 2022. This was my second time. The first time was in 2019 and I vowed that if I visited Philly again, I would be sure to go back because the their lobster rolls are definitely delicious. On the last visit, I opted for the lobster roll trio. I was not disappointed. All three lobster rolls were phenomenal. My favorite was the spicy mala which has a sichuan kick to it and my boyfriend loved the white truffle which has a distinct truffle flavor. 4oz is good enough for 1 person and quite filling. Cons: I noticed that the sauce and flavor did not go through the entirety of the roll and was only at the top. Although they are a bit on the pricier side, you get A LOT of lobster on your roll (: You can get the 4ox or 6oz, but the latter is just more lobster on the same roll. I've had Luke's Lobster on my list of places to try for some time and I had the opportunity this weekend. I was able to set up a curbside pickup in the busy Rittenhouse location. The location can be easy to miss. As I pulled up I called and they were able to come right out. I order their signature lobster roll which comes with a bag of chips (~$20). They have the 4oz option and the 6oz option for the lobster roll, I ordered the 4oz and the lobster overflowed out of the roll. I could only imagine how full the 6oz. would be since the roll size remains the same regardless of how much lobster meat you order. The lobster roll was DELICIOUS!!! The meat was abundant and there wasn't any fillers. Just some type of butter sauce. As traditional lobster rolls the meat was chilled but not cold or frozen, but perfect. The roll was lightly toasted and soft with a bit of mayo. The chips were a nice add BUT as others mentioned I wasn't full after that meal which was the only drawback. I ordered this for takeout during the pandemic and was pleasantly surprised on how well the items delivered. I ordered the lobster and the crab roll, and both were very solid. The buns were toasted and buttery, and the lobster and crab were both a cool, contrasting taste. They also provided a plastic container on the side for additional butter, which wasn't really needed. The only downside I can think of is that it's fairly pricey for a small portion of food. Even after ordering the 6oz lobster and 4oz crab rolls, I still wasn't full - even though that should be larger than a typical order for 1! My mother woke up and decided it was a lobster roll kind of day. The Luke's Lobster we ate at before on 11th Street has since closed so we chose the remaining location in Rittenhouse Square versus Salty's Seafood because they were only offering a 35.00 pri fixe menu as far as we could tell from the online menu. As far as dine in, there is only one table outside the storefront. We were offered seats inside at the counter because there were no other customers at the time. If you read my review for the other Luke's Lobster I stand by that 100 percent and could have copied and pasted that review here. It's just terribly overpriced. BUT, these rolls were packed with delicious, tender, buttery lobster on the most perfectly toasted roll.
