Updated review -- Have to dock these guys from my previous review because my installed product only lasted about 2 1/2 years. Turns out, my 4 channel amp was only wired in 2 channels. Wires behind my head unit were absolutely shredded apparently. This is just a buyer beware PSA -- Not a docking of their customer service. I've had 2 car infomation center installs with them over the years. My service advisor through it all is Patrick. His service and integrity is impeccable. My last install was about 8 months ago. I began having trouble with the GPS. They pulled the unit, changed the settings. Diagnostics were run on my iPhone. Nothing worked for any length of time. They sent to the factory and it came back this week. Class act that Patrick is, they worked me in on a Saturday even though they were slammed. So far, so good. I have to hand it to Brian and the pros at Sound Sensations yet again. Last year I had a full system with Audison components for the front stage, Hertz coaxials for the back doors, and a JL sub all powered by a Alpine 5 channel amp. The install was beyond professional and the end product is the best car system I've ever heard. Brian was a joy to work with as always, and never tried to upsell me on anything unnecessary or that I didn't want. His recommendations were spot-on, and they even special ordered me a specific subwoofer enclosure that I had my eye on. The install by Clayton was unbelievably clean. He treated my car with the utmost care and respect and everything looked as if it had come installed from the factory. Recently, I sent my coworker to Brian to have a sub and amp integrated into the factory stereo set up in his car, and I couldn't believe how good the new low-end blended with his factory speakers. My friend was highly impressed with the quality of the install as the installer went out of his way to tap the head unit for a better signal and run the wiring the length of the car instead of just tapping the rear speakers. I gotta hand it to these guys yet again, and this once again reinforces why I will never take my car anywhere else for professional audio work. read more

In 2006, I went in to have my little factory Jeep Grand Cherokee treble speakers replaced with some better ones. About 5 years later, I had some stereo work done and i was told the factory tweeter speakers were still in there. Thanks alot. read more

I was pleased with the customer service and the timeliness of the service. I got Apple CarPlay installed the first time and they did such a good job that the very next week I purchased a sub woofer for installation. I took my vehicle in for the sub installation but because of the length of time it took to install I had to have my son pick my car up once completed. My $210 Rayban sunglasses were taken from my car. I had them IN the case, IN my armrest. I didn't notice them missing until a day or two later. As soon as I noticed I called, spoke to the owner, he reviewed the cameras (not working) he asked the manager who had seen them and even touched them where they were...long story short...they concluded that MY SON. stole my sunglasses because HE came to pick my car up instead of me. So regardless of the quality of work, if things get stolen from people's cars, it's not worth it! Beware! read more

They treated me like a person with a brain instead of a walking wallet, though hidden installation costs (labor and parts) are endemic to this industry. Good sales people who can sell without being slimy. I would certainly send a friend there for car audio--they have the newest of the new and installation took only a couple hours--same day! I got a lot of options and unfortunately they accidentally sold me something that didn't work quote right. They took responsibility, corrected the issue, and refunded my installation fee. read more

We brought our 2008 Corvette in to update the factory stereo to something that would sound a bit better. We worked with Andrew, who was outstanding through the whole process. He was able to guide us in building a system that is nothing short of amazing! Crystal clear sound in a totally stealth package! Andrew was patient, as I returned several times to just talk about what I wanted. He put together a couple of different sets of options and never made us feel rushed, even though the place was full of other potential customers. I gave this place a try when I needed a new stereo put in my car. I've not shopped at this kind of store in about 25 years. Instead I have usually visited large retailers for this kind of thing, so I was a little apprehensive about going there. My thinking was that the store might be one run by a bunch of obnoxious young guys selling expensive and obnoxiously loud audio systems to other obnoxious young guys.(Not that there's anything wrong with that!) I figured that since I wanted something simple and relatively inexpensive, they might not have much interest in my business. I had already researched online what kind of unit I wanted. So, through their website I sent a message asking if they had one in stock and how much the total price would be with installation. The first good sign was that I received a prompt response by the end of the day informing me that the unit was in stock, how much it would cost, and the earliest time that they could install it for me. Nice... They gave me more info than I requested. When I visited the store, my notion of what the place would be like was shattered: 1. The salesmen were indeed young, but not kids. 2. They were clean, respectful, and neatly dressed. 3. The store was clean and far nicer than I expected. I didn't feel out of place in there. I wanted to get a feel for the store, so instead of just walking in and asking for the particular model I wanted and signing the paperwork, I took a little time to look around and interact with the salesman to see what he had to offer. The selection was great. They have a wide variety of equipment at all price levels on display and available to play with and listen to. The salesman was knowledgeable and wasn't pushy at all. He had plenty of opportunity to try to up-sell me to more expensive models, but instead he was very helpful and matter-of-fact about the features of the various units. The wait wasn't bad at all and the waiting room was quite comfortable. It is nice that they spent a few extra dollars for comfortable chairs rather than those typical cheap ones that you find in most waiting rooms. When they were done and it was time for me to pay, I was surprised that the price was about $15 less than they had originally quoted. It turns out that my car did not require a mounting kit that is usually needed for my model. (I was aware of this kit from the Crutchfield web site I had viewed earlier.) They could have easily charged me that $15 anyway and I never would have known the difference. I appreciate their honesty. Afterward, the salesman took me to the car and showed me the basic features of the stereo that they had just installed. The installation was perfect and my car was left clean and without a scratch. It's as if the stereo was installed at the factory. The job that they did was worth the modest installation fee. Though I wasn't expecting much from the store, as you can tell, my expectations were far exceeded. It's a good feeling to spend your money for on a job well done. read more

Researched a lot of other vendors before deciding on SS and was very pleased with my decision. Bought a head unit and had a sub/amp i already owned installed and must say everything went as expected and sounds great! The staff was incredibly busy being a Saturday afternoon but when i picked up my vehicle the sales associate, Erick, took the time to talk me through features of the new stereo and show me a couple cool things about it. I genuinely felt like he was waiting to make sure i was satisfied before running back to work. Great service! Also, install was clean, no surprises, cost was exactly what i expected. I went in Sound Sensations and had my car wired for iPod this past weekend. Wow- 5 star service. I have a MINI Cooper and they had a BMW expert at the place who was able to advise me on exactly what I needed. They were able to work me in that same day, and it only took 2 hours. You will pay a little more here than you will at Best Buy etc, but it is absolutely worth it. The job was done right the first time, the service tech sat in my car with me and showed me how to operate the system, and it looks and sounds great. I can't rave enough about how friendly and professional the staff is here. Absolutely top notch service, and a great selection of products. These guys won my loyalty. read more

I scheduled an appointment 3 days ahead of time to have a minor adjustment made on my dash. I arrived on time, asked how long it would take and was told 1 hour. Fifty five minutes later the car had not even been taken back. I inquired at the desk and they said they had to finish a job from yesterday. If I would have been told of the time delay I would have come back another day. I was respectful of their time by arriving when requested, they should have shown the same consideration for me. Sound Sensations was sensational! But to be honest I will never let anyone else touch my car other than these guys, they are meticulous when it comes to detail. I had the pleasure of hanging out with them this past Thursday while they fixed my car, I had a radio previously installed and had a few issues with the install and had to get my radio working correctly. I hung out with the guys at Sound Sensations and learned so many things -- we talked about the latest developments in car audio, camera, home audio, sports, etc. I literally felt like a kid in a candy store; also they did not mind my countless questions with a smile and really made me feel comfortable during my wait. On top of the excellent work that they did on my car their customer service is A-1, they are some of the friendliest people you could ever meet, in any line of business. Now discussing the workmanship, I was so impressed when I got my car back I barely recognized it. On top of that, they do not complete the work and toss you your keys and push you out the door, they make sure everything is perfect, the fact that they actually come out to the car to go over every install and detail sets them WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY above the rest. They seriously care about your satisfaction. And I personally want to give my sales associate a personal shoutout! Evan really is awesome! If you ever get the pleasure of having him as your associate he will having you laughing all day! I was there for hours but he checked up on me every chance he could and made sure I was well taken of it and up to date on every detail concerning my car. He really made me feel at ease. And what was really surprising is that the owner came up to me and introduced himself! That really impressed me, I saw a guy walking around asking how everything was going and checking on things but in my mind I thought he was a manager of some sorts; but when I found out he was the owner I was really impressed. Especially knowing that they have been in business for over 40 years! He really loves what he does and really makes sure that everything is done right! If you ever visit their website you can see that they deal with a wide range of clients with VERY expensive cars, boats, etc. And from inside the venue where they are located you can also see they are very well known from a long list of high profile celebrities.BUT THEY TREAT EVERYONE WITH THE SAME LEVEL OF RESPECT. I've taken my cars to Sound Sensations on three separate occasions so far. So I guess I am qualified to rate these guys objectively? Here are the details from my three visits. The first time I went over was to get Sound Sensations to install a stereo cable from the head-unit of my VW to the BT-unit under the passenger seat (to enable BT music streaming) PLUS to have an OEM backup camera installed [I had already bought all the required parts, and just needed help with labor]. Jim Ellis VW wanted nearly $800 for the job, and they said it still might not work at the end of the day. Sound Sensations got it done in under 2 hours, at a fraction of the cost. A+ My second visit was to have a new head-unit installed on my wife's Highlander [I had already purchased the new head-unit elsewhere]. I knew this was a complicated install, so the price didn't feel like a bargain. However, Sound Sensations took almost twice as long to complete the install. They were extremely apologetic about wasting my time, and to make up for this, they give me a pretty decent discount on my bill. A- My third visit - about two weeks ago - was to have new speakers installed on my VW [once again I had bought the parts elsewhere; this was a weekend project that never got done]. When I got there, Brian (one of the very knowledgeable folks' at Sound Sensations) took a look at my existing setup, and my new speakers, and told me that the speakers would sound much worse than the ones already in my car. I know a decent bit about car audio, so I had quite a few questions. Brian was able to answer each one with quite a bit of detail. Net, net, I decided not to install the speakers on Brian's recommendation; and instead, ended up returning the speakers for a full refund. The take-away here is that Sound Sensations preferred not installing crappy speakers and not making any money over installing crappy speakers and making a quick buck. That's really admirable in my opinion. A+ So the bottom-line is - Sound Sensations is a great shop, with pretty knowledgeable people, who will get the job done right the first time. I cant speak to their equipment pricing, but their labor is very competitively priced. Ask for Brian! read more

FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE!! See my Google review for the specific details. I called in to Sound Sensation and was quoted $370 for a car alarm and remote starter by Andrew. Let me say that I specifically asked for a "car alarm and remote starter". I immediately made the appointment (paying a $50 deposit) as I called five other local locations and I was quoted between $410 through $450. My reason for writing this review is not to badger anyone but the customer service that I received at Sound Sensation was horrendous. As a first time customer I felt as if they did not care about the service that they provided. I was advised by another customer that this company has been in business for a very long time and I assume that this is why they do not care about customer service as their longevity has overshadowed the reason for them being there. Andrew not only treated me with horrible customer service but there were two other customers that I observed were being treated in the same manner. He must be the owner's son as this would never be allowed in another customer service environment. I will say THANK YOU to Patrick as he was patient and did exactly what he said he could do. He opened his calendar, explained the holiday situation helped create a solution to the problem without raising his voice. Needless to say I will never visit this location for any of my vehicle needs again. I spent approximately $460 total including a $29.99 warranty. (Hopefully, I won't have to use it). My suggestion is if you are looking for a sound system or anything dealing with your vehicle, you look for other avenues and this long-term business has forgotten what customer service is. So, I got a part for my car stereo a few weeks ago. It turns out KEVIN sold me the wrong part. I didn't have a chance to run back by the location until today, and had already found the correct part for cheaper elsewhere. I ran into my old buddy KEVIN. He says they only do store credit only, which isn't that big of a deal. I asked KEVIN to help me find something useful. It didn't have to match the price exactly, but I thought it would be nice. He asked if I had speakers and I said yes. (wtf would I put in a stereo without speakers?) They have all these signs advertising ipod accessories, so I started asking if they had anything useful like a charger. He said no. I asked if they could give it to me in gift certificate of sorts. He said no. I asked if he could help me figure something out. He said no. He basically refused to help me out. I tried hard to convince him to try and sell me something that I could use. Let me tell you about my experience with this outfit. Very nice show room and products--but I went for what was described to me by their staff as a simple install of a spill protection screen for an aftermarket radio for a Polaris SS. Prior to me arriving for the install work, I was assured that they could do the job, they were a distributor for the manufacturer of the part to be installed--sounding real good. Now, I drove all the way from Conyers to Marietta for this job. So, I checked in etc. About 15 minutes later the sales staff person came to inform me that what had been initially quoted as a $90 job was now in the neighborhood of $200-he had miscalculated what was quoted and the timeframe needed to complete the job. Now, remember $90 was their original quote...not mine, and the requirements of the job were consistent throughout. No offer or effort to meet me half or a quarter of the way as YOU miscalculated, not ME! Suffice it to say I left without having the work done, and the fact of the matter is that they couldn't do the work for me now--even if it was free.... Buyer Beware!! read more

Rather than bring it back to an unreliable place, I brought it to Sound Sensations for a proper installation and they had it working flawlessly when they were done. I had to wait a really long time, but it was worth it. An older gentleman, who may have been an owner, gave me a quick tour of the place and showed me a few of the competition cars they had while I waited as well.
