I purchased a new car stereo for my '96 car and went to them to get it installed and I also wanted to purchase and have installed new speakers. I had a bit of sticker shock when they first quoted a price to me for everything (in the $500 range) but they worked with me and got me a lower deal that worked out beautifully. The sound in my car is great now and the rep took the time to get in the car and show me the basics on running the stereo. I've purchased several car stereos in the past and never had anyone take the time to show me how to use it, wow. They have so many cool gadgets in their store and they have a really comfortable waiting area. If you choose not to wait there, they are almost next door to a Krispy Kreme (I was so tempted) and across the street is a Marietta Diner. I have to save up some money now so I can get some more gadgets for my car. read more

Believe the hype, these guys know what they are doing and won't rip you off. My wife took our 11 year old conversion van in that was draining the battery inexplicably and the TV didn't work anymore. The local NTW couldn't even tell there was a draw on the battery and I was cringing thinking about how much a new TV is. Turned out a door pin was bent and caused the inside light to stay on and they found some loose wires affecting the TV. 3 hours and a little over $100. Thanks guys! read more

I went in there to get tint on my car for heat reflection. I asked them questions like will I be able to see out of my windows. I was worried of the tint being too dark. I relied on their professional and expert opinions. I just wanted the clear tint (80% or 70%) but was talked into 35%. I was worried I would not be able to see at night. Well, that is the case. Not because of the darkness of the tint but because there is light refraction. They blame it on the window. The 3M rep said that they had never seen a back window with that slope. I seriously doubt that. The new chevy camaros have the same slope. The 3M rep was very rude and made me very uncomfortable. I have a 16 Honda civic. I got the windows done the week of Christmas and went back a month later telling them this issue. I was disregarded and told that that is just the way it is. I started doing my research and read that the 3M film that I have on my car does not work well with the civic. I emailed them and was told to come in. The 3M rep was supposed to meet me. He did not show. The 3M rep showed up to the next meeting and was rude and I was very surprised that he was speaking to me the way he was. I went back and forth with Andrew and was told that the Marc the owner said there was no solution. I have a friend with the same car and told Andrew what film was on his car that works better than the 3M. They would not get it for me. Keep in mind, it is hard to see out of my back window at night. I suggested the lighter tint since it was what I wanted in the first place and was assured by the salesman and installer that I would be able to see out of my windows. He came back and quoted me a price on removing and replacing the film. I believe If I were a man, these men would not have treated me the way they did. They are not professional and not experts in their field. I expected them to do research and find out the best tint to put on my car. I relied on them and they failed at their job and at customer service. Every time I was in there, there were people in the waiting room with sound system problems. Just saying... I have told a couple of friends who wanted their front windshield tinted to go somewhere else. read more

After spending an hour at a different car audio place (that my brother had referred my to) where I was given the wrong information about multiple products for my car and had an overall horrible experience), I googled car audio and found Sound Sensations reviews on yelp. From the minute I arrived here, I felt completely at ease. Mike helped me find the right solution for what I wanted in my car and they installed it right away. Sound Sensations will overcharge you on parts and labor, and their employees will find a way to be unnecessarily disrespectful toward you. I went into their store 2 weeks ago and got a quote for 2 front speakers (component), 2 rear speakers (co-axial), and 2 subwoofers. They refused to print me a quote that detailed exactly what I would be buying but put it in the ballpark of around $2800. I immediately went online and found that their prices were insanely high compared to what I could buy them online for. So, I bought all my part on amazon and then went on a mission to find a place to install them. I went to CarTunes who wanted to charge me $135 per hour on labor, and then went to BestBuy and got a reasonable quote (as expected). Then I made a last minute call to Sound Sensations thinking maybe they could beat my previous quotes. The employee, Brian, who I spoke with, told me he could install everything for around $250-$300. I thought this was too good to be true, but figured I would go down there anyway. Upon arrival, one of the other employees told me I could return everything because that they could price-match all items. Here's the catch: They only price-match from a list of "authorized dealers" who charge prices that are just as insanely high as Sound Sensations. This wasn't too much of a problem for me, because I already had the equipment. Here's when everything went south. The other employee (who's name I never got) started writing me up a quote (that of course he wouldn't let me walk out of the store with). I explained to him that Brian told me $250-$300 on the phone. The other employee told me that Brian's quote wasn't going to happen. I was OK with this because it seemed a little low to start with. As the employee started adding things up, he mocked my lack of knowledge of equipment when I asked him questions as to what each part did. And when everything was said and done, his total was $983. I then went to find Brian to ask where he got $250-300 from. Brian's response: "It was just a guesstimate. What'd it come out to be?" I told him $983 and Brian proceeded to tell me that I had misspoken to him on the phone. I told him that his "guesstimate" was merely a lie to get me in the door. Brian did not take kindly to my accusation, because he immediately said "IF YOU KEEP SAYING THAT I WILL COME ACROSS THIS COUNTER..." and slammed his hands on the glass countertop. I was shocked, in dismay, and a bit fearful. I told Brian he shouldn't verbally threaten customers and then walked out of the store. My experience with Sound Sensations was horrific to say the least, and I will never set foot on their property (unless to subpoena Brian). read more

AWFUL Experience! I scheduled my appointment 2 weeks in advance, just to be called the day before to be rescheduled. Then, the day before my 2nd appointment, they called to reschedule again. Finally, when they were able to "fit me in," I dropped off my car at 12:00pm, asking them to please do a great job on my window tint for my 2013 Lexus. The sales person responded by saying, "the guy that does our tints is the same guy that tints for the Lamborghini dealership." Well, they told me it would be ready by 3pm, so I came back 3 hours later to pick up my car, but it was not ready. I ended up having to wait another 2 hours until my car was finally ready. I looked my car windows over, noticing a couple of questionable blotched spots, but the salesperson said they would disappear as the film cured. Five days later, after the curing process is supposed to be complete, I am noticing several blotched and scratched areas on my windows! Horrible! I don't even want to deal with going back there to get them fixed because I know it'll just be another HUGE headache! Don't believe the hype! This place seems to be a popular place where big names go to get their cars dressed up, but if you're a normal guy like me, it seems as though the service and results are way below par. On top of that, their prices are above average and they hit me with additional fees when ringing me up...fees that weren't discussed prior to that... Save your $$$ and save a HEADACHE. I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of customer service at this establishment. I am livid that I was misled and drove 50 miles at 8am to find out my warranty was not valid like I had been told, and the product would not be replaced as was discussed and agreed upon on the phone. Twice. PROs - My Sound System is finished and I no longer have to deal with this company. (I'm actually quite sad to have to write this bad review.) CONs - I experienced one or more incompetent/misleading salesmen and a complete lack of customer service/empathy. I recently finished my second car's sound system with Sound Sensations. This particular job included a new head unit, four speakers, two sub woofers + custom woofer box, two amps, all the wiring required, and finally - I purchased the lifetime warranty. The woofer box I ended up with was coated with truck bed liner and custom made to fit behind the back seat of my Jeep TJ. Upon purchasing this box, I explained that the interior of my Jeep would not be exposed to significant amounts of water - nor any water for an extended amount of time (if it gets wet - I'll quickly dry it off), but that I wanted a box that would not only withstand some water but would also effectively protect my woofers from any damage. I was assured the box I was subsequently sold was the box for me. Fast forward - several weeks ago, when my woofer started to sound wonky, I unzipped my Soft top to find that every edge of my woofer box was split; the box was no longer sealed which caused the awful sound quality and could lead to damaged subs. I immediately called Sound Solutions to find out if the box was still under warranty and if so - to schedule an appointment to have it replaced. It WAS under warranty - as I began to schedule my appointment, I realized I was booked up for a few weeks and postponed scheduling an appointment. I called back a couple of weeks later, made sure again that my box was under warranty and scheduled a 9am appointment to have the box replaced. My appointment was yesterday morning. I drove to the location early to make sure that (though I had an appointment) I was served first thing - i have had issues with this before. I told the salesman I was here for an appointment. He looked up my appointment and seemed to have no information. I explained the issue with my woofer box. After waiting ONE HOUR (PAST MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT) for him to find my purchase of the box in the first place - I was told my box was out of warranty and that I wouldn't get a new box unless I purchased a new one. I explained that I had called ahead (twice) to make sure my box was still in warranty before scheduling an appointment and was told (TWICE) that it was. I was then told that whoever I spoke with (two different calls - two different days - two different salesmen) was probably looking at the most recent installation which was still under warranty (duh, I bought a lifetime warranty on the installation.) Though this was THEIR MISTAKE, they refused to do anything to compensate me for my time and trouble other than 'try to glue the edges together' or sell me the same box for the same purchase price. I woke up early on my day off and drove 50 miles in my 0 miles to the gallon Jeep Wrangler to be met with zero customer appreciation/service. I am completely and utterly disgusted. Had I been informed that my equipment was out of warranty OVER THE PHONE before I made an appointment and drove to Marietta - it would have been a bummer, but I probably would have ended up buying a new box from Sound Sensations. Unfortunately the unhelpful, unapologetic, incompetent sales people I had the misfortune of dealing with have lost a life-time customer for their company. I have always suggested my friends go out of the way to get their work done through sound sensations - a few have already gone there - but after this experience, that will also cease. read more

These guys outfitted my 2011 BMW 135i the other week and I get more impressed with the way it sounds on each drive. They completely redid my entire audio system and I could not be more happy with the results. Andrew in particular was outstanding in knowledge, customer service, patience, and most of all hooking it up with an amazing system. A while back the installer Nick (I think... brown haired guy about 6 ft. tall) fixed the installation of my head unit and dash kit after a botched job by another shop who apparently didn't connect the wires properly. He got the head unit I thought was broken working like it was supposed to and fixed the dash kit, saving me money. read more

I walked into this store knowing exactly what I wanted in a car stereo, but having no idea of brand names or performance reviews or any of the specs most music experts seem to always know. Brian met me at the door and I told him what I wanted. He listened and showed me his recommended solution, answered my questions about differences and assured me I would be pleased with his plan. He was so right. He made me feel like I was the most important customer there and everyone was interested in making sure I was happy. When I picked up my truck, Jason walked me through the functions of my stereo. He was patient and seemed almost as excited as I was about my new toy. I do not recommend Sound Sensations because they are solely money motivated. To get me to come to the store, my salesman quoted me a price of $45 to install my amp. Once I arrived, he started this long sales pitch and we ended up with a quote of $375. The Salesmen there continuously tried to sell me the most expensive items which I didn't need. I explained to the him that I did not want a remote bass knob, but he refused to install the amp if I didn't get it. Also, he was trying to sell me an rf converter eventhough my car already had one in it because I previously had a professionally installed amp. My cables where all in there, but the salesman said they would have to rip all the cabling out and start fresh. I asked him why, but he couldn't give me a good reason. I'm an honest man and would like to deal with people who are honest and not motivated by money to sell me things I don't need. He told me I have to take the bad with the good. I brought my turbo is300 in for a simple ECU cutoff switch, headlamp installation, and ipod OEM input. The service technician ANDREW upsold me without warning me of price conflicts. They had the car for two days. When i came to pick it up they were about to close, so they rushed through all the changes they made. So, i get in my car, turns out the ipod wasn't tested because it only has a mono output. I then returned to the store and asked them why. They had no idea and suggested i buy a aftermarket radio...i refused. Then they said they would contact the manufacturer and get back to me and i never received a resolution. Now, 6 months later and countless hours of troubleshooting possible turbo issues on my car not starting I've finally found the ECU cutoff switch improperly/sloppily installed. The switch wires were pinched in the fuse box (creating issues of its own) then heavily soldered which eventually became compromised. I'm very unhappy with this place. They have really high prices, try to upsell on everything and installation was poor...even though i spent 1400$ i never felt like a valued customer. read more
