They do have a screen showing your place in line and the online app gives you this, too. Receptionist was excellent. Nurse was good except she did some tests that seemed completely unrelated to Dr Rod had excellent interpersonal skills/bedside manner. I actually got seen 22 minutes earlier than the original projection. I drove a mile past NCH immediate care to get here because of its bad reviews and I am so glad I drove the extra mile! Exam rooms are very clean, look new too. Plenty of space and extra seats for parents that bring kids.

Immediately after, we called Upright MRI of Deerfield at +1 (847) 291-9321. I spoke with a staff member who confirmed she would email Good Shepherd to request the labs. The attached screenshots show the call timestamps and the text confirmation from Upright MRI's number verifying our communication. 4. Based on that assurance, we believed all pre-appointment requirements were met. On October 13, 2025, upon arrival for the MRI, the staff displayed unprofessional behavior. Without asking for identifying information, one staff member bluntly asked, "Did you do blood work within six weeks?" and stated that Upright MRI "does not and cannot request labs," directly contradicting the earlier conversation and text message confirmation. The interaction left both myself and the client uncomfortable and concerned about the credibility and coordination of the facility

We completed the first one and arrived for the second one and was told the US tech had to leave for an emergency. I understand that but what's the backup plan? The man printed the order and said to try the imaging place in the same building to see if they had an opening. I mentioned that the doctor said that IBJI was the only place but the man disagreed. I walked over to the other imaging center only to be told they couldn't do that particular test as it only could be done at IBJI! Now we have to wait at least two months for him to return to get this appointment.

After a thorough review of my MRI report, Dr. Noren produced a six-page report suggesting that I could return to work on full duty. However, I was later diagnosed with severe spinal issues, including pinched nerves and damage to my cervical vertebrae (C1 through C7), which necessitates spinal surgery. It is incredibly frustrating and concerning that I was initially told I could return to work, especially considering my job involves lifting and pushing individuals. Due to the severity of my injuries, my other doctors refused to clear me for work, ultimately leading to the loss of my job. I am left questioning how anyone could truly believe I was fit to return to such physically demanding work under these circumstances. I urge others to consider this experience seriously before choosing to consult with Dr. Noren or the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute. Sensible medical advice should prioritize patient well-being, especially in cases as serious as mine. Also it was a while ago that I had my appointment here but I wanted to wait until I had solid proof of what was happening in my body before writing this review as this doctor even called me a drama queen which in my opinion is very rude and unprofessional as I literally was so discouraged and at the end widths with my pain. Now I'm presently working with a specialist who is now having to put metals and bolts in my neck and the possibility of a permanently damaged nerve.( this permanent damage nerve could have been prevented with continuous treatment if it wasn't was Noren's misdiagnosis that got my benefits revoked) How can someone disregard someone health like this? After doing some mobility tests he told me he had never seen anything like it (exactly what you want to hear from a doctor). I asked him if it could be a blood clot and he said definitely not. I went to the ER and was almost immediately diagnosed with a blood clot and hospitalized for three days. I shared my urgent care experience with my care team in the ER and at the hospital and they all told me it was pretty obvious that's what it was and to never go to that urgent care facility again. While I understand Dr. Gershon didn't have the tools necessary to definitively diagnose me, it's concerning that he didn't even mention the possibility of a blood clot until I asked. I would not feel comfortable with anyone I care about seeing him as a doctor.
