The studio is warm and inviting, and the waiting area feels more like a spa than a clinic. We booked a 4‑D/HD session to see our baby, and the images were absolutely incredible. The sonographer explained everything clearly, was patient when our little one decided to hide, and made sure we left with plenty of amazing pictures and videos. We loved that GoldenView offers DNA gender testing--finding out our baby's gender early added even more excitement to our pregnancy journey! They also have the cutest heartbeat animals, which makes for a precious keepsake. Plus, the staff put our session on dropbox so we could easily share the video with family members who couldn't be there in person. Overall, the entire experience felt personal and professional. Our tech didn't even try to get any good pictures. We left very disappointed. Now at 26 weeks we decided to try Goldenview and crossed our fingers we would get at least one good pic of our baby. We ended up getting so many amazing pictures of her I couldn't even believe it. The tech had me walk around and try different positions to get the baby to move so she could get the best possible pictures. I didn't even expect to get such clear pictures of her face at 26 weeks. I've found Oakton Park Medical Center to be extraordinarily competent from the front desk to the doctors. And they are technologically advanced - you get notifications, online access, electronic sign-in... even a tablet if the front desk is occupied. Doctors listen and explain everything. There's no rushing you out. No rushing you off the phone. If you have a question, they answer confidently and competently and do what they say. It's a medium sized office and they do stuff like ultrasound and labwork in-house so you don't need to run around for everything. One little thing I'm slightly concerned about is if under an HMO (since you need to see your PCP) an appointment will be available on short notice like a walk-in. Some larger places have walk-in hours, but that's not really a huge issue for me and I'm pretty sure they'd accommodate anybody in need based on the situation as they've been nothing but helpful with me. In my past experience with a Northshore Health office, my past provider was similar to ATT or Comcast - just too big and clumsy... Rude front desk that was too busy to answer you. My doctor would come in, see me for maybe 5 minutes, then walk out for five minutes. Then walk in for another minute and that's my appointment. If there's a billing issue, there'd be nobody competent enough to help you or if there was, good luck figuring who that is. At the time I had a PPO. After a couple years my specific Blue Cross PPO was no longer accepted by Northshore but nobody thought to check before my appointments. So I started getting charged out of network and I didn't understand what was happening so I paid. And they keep sending bills for something they should have caught. So I don't want Oakton Park to be too busy and turn into this mess, but they deserve the gratitude. A breath of fresh air in Skokie.

She reviewed several strategies for the testing. Then she "talked" me through it. She was able to bring a calmness and peacefulness. In previous testing, I could not always complete it. I am so appreciative of her professional skills blended with her understanding and compassion that she used to support me in the medical testing. If ever I need a MRI again, I will return to her at Edgebrook Radiology.

The booking was easy, the business is beautiful and relaxing and she is very experienced, so she knew exactly how to get good angles and explained everything. We got a lot of good pictures. I brought my husband and 2.5 year old son and she was great with my toddler too.
