Everything started off fairly well. A nurse(?) from Lifecare came to our house and showed us how to…read moreadminister IV antibiotics (3 times/day). Then for the next 5 weeks a different nurse came out first twice a week and then once a week to change the dressing and just check up on things. All went well until the course of antibiotics was finished. The nurse was supposed to come and remove the PICC line on Wednesday (February 22nd). First there was a miscommunication between Lifecare and the doctor. The doctor's office claimed Lifecare was supposed to contact them to get the order to remove the PICC line; Lifecare claimed that the doctor was supposed to contact them. In whatever case, the doctor's office contacted Lifecare on Wednesday afternoon to authorize the removal of the PICC line. But now, Lifecare is unable to find a nurse to remove the PICC line and they have stopped communicating with me at all. I have no idea if or when I can get the PICC line removed and in the meantime I am breaking out from the tape keeping the PICC line in place.

She's had the same nurse for over four years now and we absolutely adore her. Recently my 90 year old grandmother took a tumble and was rushed to the ER. The doctor there needed to get a hold of her primary physician but his office was closed on Sundays. I ended up calling Wellcare and within 10 minutes the nurse had called me back and gave the ER doctor all the information they needed. The nurse and the physical therapists were at my grandmother's the very next morning. Exceptional service all around.

I contacted Home Instead when my mom needed assistance at home. At first it was just a couple of…read moremornings a week, but we recently had to transition to live-in help. My experience with Home Instead has been awesome. They have been completely responsive to our needs and able to accommodate the schedule change very quickly. Each of the caregivers that was with my mom was exceptional. They were kind, patient and provided good company and assistance. Sadly, we are moving her to live closer to me, but I will be forever grateful to Home Instead for allowing her to live in her home a little longer. My mom lives in the Northwest Suburbs and we finally decided that she could no longer "do it…read morealone". We had gone through a lot with my dad before he passed away and so we knew what we wanted and what we didn't. Unfortunately, the informal network we used for my dad didn't have women caregivers so we were back to to square one. After doing a lot of research with the local senior center and online we called For Papa's Sake, which is based out of the town next to where my mom lives. From the very first phone call I suspected we had gotten lucky. After a couple of calls and some group discussion between me, my mom and a For Papa's Sake senior person we decided we'd try them out. And am I glad we did. They listened to my mom's and my requests, likes, dislikes, deal-breakers etc. and they never batted an eye. They did say it might take a bit longer than usual (given our needs) to find the right care giver, but they called back in less than 5 days and we had a care giver within 10 days to 2 weeks of that 1st main discussion. That care giver has worked out so well. It has really improved our lives and I can go days without worrying about my mom...what a relief. That's what For Papa's Sake provides: relief! If you are looking for an alternative to a nursing home or aged care facility or whatever you want to call it, For Papa's Sake really cares and I would encourage you to give them a call. They have worked out great for us and I would not recommend them for something so important if they weren't doing a great job.

Svetlana Roshass works as a manager in this place. I am talking about this MEAN Russian woman with red face and blond hair. My Mother and I had a question. We asked Svetlana Roshass to help us. Svetlana was arguing with us in Russian language. She was arguing with us the whole time we were there. Svetlana literally yelled at my poor Mother. Svetlana was rude and mean.Svetlana start yelling something in Russian language accusing my Mother that she does everything wrong, and this and that. Svetlana screamed at my Mother very loudly. My Mother is an elderly woman. My Mother gets very scared when someone is yelling at her. After we left, my Mother was shaking and crying. I had to take her to the nearest ER to see if she was okay. My Mother has a heart condition. I was very worried about my Mom. After this bad accident with Svetlana, I took my Mother to Emergency Room. This is very bad. This is Not the proper way to treat seniors in America. I will sue Best In-Home Service for what they did to my Mother. Something has to be done about this ASAP ! people like Svetlana can NOT work in the health field!
