The fact that Red is able to offer such an amazing experience at a donation based price makes my heart so happy!

During our discussion, I was explaining my concerns about delaying a certain medical schedule (not refusing it completely) but I felt the conversation became more of a lecture than a discussion. I would have appreciated a more collaborative approach to addressing our questions. I was also surprised by several recommendations that were presented as personal preferences, including that baby-led weaning is better than purées and a recommendation to avoid traveling with children until they are 2 years old. Given that my baby is not yet sitting up independently (she's 5 months old and still floppy), I would have preferred guidance that was more tailored to her developmental readiness, along with an explanation of the evidence behind these recommendations. One of the reasons we chose this practice was because the website states that they work collaboratively with families regarding certain healthcare topics. Unfortunately, that was not our experience during this visit with Mike. Rather than feeling that our questions were explored through a collaborative discussion, we felt that there was limited opportunity for dialogue. I value providers who explain the reasoning behind their recommendations, discuss the available evidence, and partner with families to make informed decisions. Unfortunately, I left feeling that there was limited opportunity for discussion or individualized guidance.

However, we were really disappointed by the clinic's policy on late arrivals. We were only 10 minutes late, with a toddler in tow, and it was our very first visit. Life with little ones can be unpredictable, and we expected a little understanding. Instead, we were charged a $50 fee, which they refused to waive, even after we explained the situation. We understand the importance of timeliness, but a bit of grace would have gone a long way, especially for new families trying to find the right care team. It left us feeling more like a number than valued patients. Great provider, but the rigid policy and lack of flexibility took away from an otherwise positive experience

Though my cycle has always been irregular, for me, it was kind of an after thought. However, Masha noted that this was throwing off all my hormones, and that regulating it should be top priority. As part of her plan, she instructed me to eat specific seeds at different points throughout my cycle. I was skeptical that something so simple could work- but it did work! It's crazy that women's moon cycles can be regulated with something so simple as seeds! I can't believe this isn't common knowledge. One thing I really like about Dr. Masha as compared to other naturopathic doctors I have worked with is that she is careful to work within my budget. Her plan for regulating my cycle involved flax seeds and sesame seeds- something I could definitely afford. In the past, I have worked with naturopaths who convince me to spend hundred of dollars on specific tests, and then committee to a supplement regime that costs hundred of dollars every month. While Dr. Masha did recommend supplements, they are all ones that I could afford. She provided me guidance on brands, but did not insist that I buy the most expensive brand through her (as has been my past experience). Overall I am very pleased with my experience with Dr. Masha and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an alternative to the conventional pharmaceutical approach. She is very easy to talk to and I felt safe and comfortable throughout the whole session.

The stuff I got out of the bin was 1/4 oz of puck smudging leaves which I feel like the universe knew I needed this. This business is a must go to for all herbs and teas!! It is 10/10! The prices are also AMAZING. In this economy, their prices are more than affordable! They also have tea out by the checkout for free which just made me light up! We had the butterfly pea tea and it was absolutely perfect on this super hot day. Also, it knocked my husband out lol He went and fell asleep in the car! This was such an amazing find and we found our new home shop. I tried out Svastha for the introductory 2 week offer and I liked it quite a bit. By my second visit Siva already remembered me by name. I mostly took the Detox class with Siva and the Build Fire class with Matt, and these were both enjoyable and rewarding. Although initially it may not seem very convenient, I like the way the classes are scheduled according to the appropriate time of day for the particular healing objective - it makes a lot of sense to build fire in the morning and detox & unwind at the end of the day. I also like the way that Svastha has really taken the time to do things right in terms of getting to know the community and the local neighborhood. For the whole first month they were open, all the classes were free. They have continued to offer free yoga classes from time to time that are staffed by volunteers. The regular classes are reasonably priced compared to other yoga studios, and they are the only yoga studio in the area to offer a student membership. The focus at Svastha is really on health and healing. There is a great deal of information about ayurveda on their website, and they offer consultations. There is a small retail section of the studio with yoga and ayurveda related products, and as a green business, you even get 10% off a retail purchase if you walk or ride your bike to the studio. They have been gathering customer feedback about the kind of classes people want and what days and times are best, so I look forward to their new schedule when hopefully they will have more classes on the weekend.
