When this theater opened its doors as this blinged out medieval- esque themed movie theater space, I was really hoping for a nice well ran theater. Sadly no. Now it's the only movie theater left in town and it's just DISGUSTING!! They seriously need real employees not just a bunch of high school children pretending to run a business. Floors are forever sticky, bathrooms not kept up or checked on, the theaters get a minimal once over between movie times and the owner is apparently a big spoiled child that just pretends to be an adult and according to the kids running the place won't hire adults because he doesn't want people who actually know how to run a business. I'm all for supporting local businesses but this place is more like a money laundering front. No wonder AMC or anyone like them won't come in and take over. Go Elsewhere read more

After several years, Soundview Cinemas have once again opened its doors for moviegoers, yet with a twist this time, a medieval theme (one may question, why?). I have to admit after massive renovations and a new theme, Soundview Cinema has come a long way and is a great option to watch movies without going a distance for quality movie time. From the moment one walks in, one is led to believe to have entered the medieval times with a knight guarding the main entrance to dragons across the lobby. The decors are nice and give the place a new lease on life. One wants to enter and for a brief moment forget the present time and imagine a medieval setting with everything being theme oriented. The auditoriums are nicely done and the reclining seats are quite comfy. The movie theater sound/video is above average, could be a bit louder or powerful, but overall the movie experience is fun. Great to see Soundview Cinema back on the map and hope online ticketing is made avail soon... read more

This place lowkey is really not it. The place is decked out in medieval art and decor which is okay if you like that sort of stuff. The place is run by mostly high schoolers which isn't a big deal but where's the boss? The prices here are cheaper than AMC, however you might want to shell out those extra dollars and just go to AMC. The seats here aren't comfortable and the place just seems like a huge mess. I always try to avoid this place and go to other theaters. (The one in Great Neck is nicer.) read more

This theatre is in a small town, and I find it a perfect fit. Sure, it's not fancy, it's not the most high-tech. BUT, it is local, convenient, and I've always been able to get a seat. I also am comfortable allowing my middle school aged child to go here with her friends, which I probably wouldn't be eager to do with a big AMC. And again, convenience, easy to drop/pick up at this theatre in town. I appreciate all that this theatre has to offer, and can overlook where it is not a big AMC. read more

The good - great sound and clean theaters The bad - did you really close up for renovations and put in those tiny, uncomfortable seats? Online ordering seems a bit primitive for my taste. Overall, I'd prefer a more luxe theater for my infrequent visits to the movies, but decent local movie house. I debated two stars writing this but I think the fact that I would go in a heartbeat to catch a quick flick locally bumped them to a three. read more

I used to really like this theatre, even though my husband falls asleep in the reclining seats. I encountered a problem with the screen last year when watching a movie when the right side of the screen was blurry the whole movie. Mary said the lens was not fully reset from 3D position. Yesterday I went to see a 3D movie in theatre 5, the screen was blurry on the right side again, and 3D excuse was not working. Staff came in several time and did nothing. Perhaps it's could be not as noticeable when the movie graphics is on but when the letters comes on you can see that the right side is blurry!! We paid a lot to see the 3D movie to stare at a blurry screen and ruin our eyesight. Perhaps if several people let them know they will fix the problem! read more

Located in an unenergetic shopping center, this theater has zero bells and whistles on the outside. However, the inside is newly renovated with a super fun medieval theme literally throughout the entire venue. The ladies' room even has unique dragon faucets that made me chuckle. The theater seating is clean and neat since they're brand new, albeit not the most comfortable seats in my opinion. I would much rather go to this cute and clean theater over the one on Main St. any day. read more

Definitely the better of the two movie theaters in town with better screens, cleaner environment and better general experience. Medieval theme is unnecessary but fun (wife doesn't get it but I say who cares and just go with it). Ample parking, never over crowded. I've never received stale popcorn and there's a Rite Aid next door which you can sneak a few stuff in from (if you were so inclined). If you frequent the movies ask for the 'Be Our Guest' card; go see 9 movies and get the tenth one free. If you're part of a couple or have a kid or two, it fills up faster than you think. It's a nice local incentive program and the free movie will work with newly released blockbusters, which I think is great. Their matinee pricing time frame is pretty good (before 5 on weekdays and 4 on weekends I believe). The ONLY thing that the Main Street theater has on this one is their half off Tuesday's. read more

My daughter wanted to have her 16th birthday at a movie theatre. We wanted the whole theatre for ourselves and we wanted evening. This was the only movie theatre that would do that for us (it had to be a Mon, Tues or Wed, but that worked for us). And they did a great job!! I spoke with Chris, Alex and Diamaris while planning the party, they answered all my questions and were willing to help with food and set up without me having to ask. They were professional AND polite. The night of the party Lacy was very helpful, she checked in to make sure all was going ok and asked multiple times if we needed anything. If I did need anything, she was quick to get it for us. I live in New Hyde Park and would have loved to us a local theatre, but they wouldn't accommodate us. The management at this theatre made it worth the trip!! Thank you Soundview Port Washington! Also- shout out to the staff working the concession- patient, polite and efficient! read more

i used to go to soundview cinemas when they opened years ago. It was the newest neighborhood movie theater. But the seats were not so comfortable. Ever since the new ownership took over, they changed the seats and added legroom. Its a lot better now and a pleasure to watch movies there. Excellent sound system. The rooms are not very large but still very enjoyable. read more
