Hmmm...scratching my head and wondering the reason for just a three star overall rating. Thought…read morethis hotel deserved more. Overall, we had an excellent experience at this hotel. And most importantly, the bed was just the way I like it... firm, nice linens, and we slept well. Rooms were spotless, had nice giant windows, everyone we came in contact with were friendly, bath towels were fluffy, and the hotel is beautiful. The bathtub/shower was tricky as you had to take a large step to climb over the tub get into it to shower. Once in the water pressure was good. Large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, bath gel attached to the wall. I think our favorite part of our stay was the complementary yogurt ice cream maker in the lobby. That was a special touch. Had a nice selection of ice cream flavors. It was yummy!! Dale at the front desk was very helpful. He helped us with a few minor things and we appreciated that. My hairdryer wasn't quite hot enough and they brought me another one right away. There are quite a few restaurants in walking distance. We had a large family brunch at the attached Red Horse restaurant (independently owned). It was just ok and service was S L O W. We recommend Columbia House. Lunch was very good there and service was right on. We were only in town for one night but I would stay here again for sure.

I requested treatments at the desk, by phone and over email. They said they didn't know how to book them or perform them as all of the staff was new. I was paying $200 a month and more for products, treatments, and services. It is not worth it. While I was here almost daily, I saw other complaints and issues arise with other clients. Do not come here. I had been coming here for over 20 years. After their management changed, the location went downhill quickly. I go to another local spa that is much better. With all of the spas in the area, I recommend going to any of the other ones.

Returned to stay here 12 years after giving it a 3 star review. My takeaway? This property is so…read moreoverpriced it's not funny. We paid nearly $700 a night for a 2 bedroom and it was very average quality at best. Some of the downsides: The TV's didn't work well, they were very laggy and had an unworkable interface. You'd hit the button and 10 seconds later the TV would react. Or the channel guide would scroll endlessly and not respond to picking a channel. They're also not smart TVs so you couldn't connect to your streaming services. The walls and ceilings are so thin, you hear every little movement of your neighbors. Also, our room was directly over the bar/lounge and it was super noisy even after 11pm. The bathrooms were a bit grimy, with discolored caulk and dirty air vents. Also, the water pressure was very low in both the kitchen and bathrooms and the tub drained very slowly, we had to basically stand in 5 inches of water when showering. The kitchen was a bit neglected, with lots of scuffs and marks on the floors and in and outside the cabinets. There was also not enough flatware. The WIFI was atrocious. I was getting 1-2 mbps, while on my mobile network I was getting close to 200 mbps. I just stayed in mobile data for the entire trip. And finally we had a reservation for 5 people in 2 br plus a sofa bed. Even though this was in the reservation details we only received 3 blankets and 4 bath towels. Was it the worst hotel in the world? Definitely not. There were some good points. The staff was friendly, there was lots of free parking and there was a complimentary breakfast which was pretty good. But for $1400 for a 2 day stay I expected much more than this. One star from me, it's both expensive and substandard. I would not stay here again.

We didn't try the breakfast since it runs early (6:30-9am) and we were still jet-lagged, but I appreciated having the option. The room itself was the biggest downside. It felt old and overdue for an update. The bed was flimsy, the comforter had very little filling left (and what was there looked hardened), and I ended up sleeping without it and feeling cold most nights. The pillows were also surprisingly small. Having a kitchen and sitting area was helpful, but the lack of overhead lighting made the space harder to use. We were told housekeeping services happen every two days, but our room wasn't cleaned at all during the four nights we stayed. On top of that, the toilet handle broke on day two -- maintenance did come quickly to fix it, which I appreciated. We also ran out of toilet paper right before checkout, and there wasn't any extra in the room. The front desk staff were consistently kind and helpful, though they often seemed overwhelmed by other guests monopolizing their time. They handled it well, but I was secondhand stressed watching lines form. Noon checkout was a real plus. Overall, this stay was a mixed bag - convenient location and friendly staff, but the rooms and housekeeping fell significantly short.

There were wires all over the floor and a VIOLATION notice on the door because she had been running her generator for over 30 days. This indicated to me that this had been an issue for a while... Why were we not notified ahead of time about the electricity? She offered to let us stay one night with the generator running, and to book us a hotel for the other night. We declined the one night, as we didn't feel safe staying in a location with all these wires everywhere and a violation notice on the door. And luckily, after some scrambling, found a hotel to stay in for two nights. I looked at reviews online, to see where I had gone wrong in booking this location, and noticed a recent review from October noting the same issue we were facing in November. I had booked our suites in August and therefore hadn't check since then. But was this issue was ongoing for two months? When I reached out the following week to request a refund, she said she had no money to refund us. It's now been a month and she has still not refunded me for the stay that didn't happen. I implore you to find accommodations elsewhere. Even if the electricity issues are fixed by this point, my experience indicates that this business may have other issues...

The staff were pleasant, and the location is great, but the rooms are very dated and did not appear to be as clean as they should be. On his first night, he moved a tissue box in the bathroom and noticed a small black bug crawling across the sink. He then saw a few more of the same type of bugs in the bathtub. While it wasn't an overwhelming number of bugs, it was certainly uncomfortable and concerning. My father was uncomfortable enough that he wanted to cancel his second night, but unfortunately, I would have been responsible for the payment. I wish he had thought to take pictures, but understandably, that wasn't his first thought in the moment. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not stay here again. The location and pleasant staff are positives, but the condition and cleanliness of the room need significant improvement

When looking at reviews online, it flooded six months ago and did not appear to have been handled. Only two out of our six room outlets worked. And they did not provide amenities to their customers. Very randomly put together furniture pieces, ants in the room (came back to see my coffee cup from breakfast swarming in ants), and no refills on the soap which still come in the little bottles. Our room didn't even come with a Do Not Disturb sign. Also our windows had dew all over them and obviously had not been cleaned for awhile so we could not get a clear view outside. Housekeeping did a great job, though, and the shower got hot and had good pressure. No racks for your towel in the bathroom, though, so we had to hang on the shower door. Our mattress was nice a medium firm, I think we had to upgrade for it but it was worth it. Front desk was okay, not very friendly. When we left, the person at the front didn't say a word to us or ask how our stay was. Parking lot was frequently full with event guests, at least it's free. But bonus was there are fireflies! As an event venue, it was nice but the wifi caused issues with the photo booth which kept having to be reset because it wouldn't connect to the printer. Also the speakeasy room was obviously not very well kept, we even were treated to a millipede or a centipede crawling on the wall behind the guests as they sat on the sofa. For the amount guests pay, I think they deserve better.
