Souper Market has become my go-to spot when I am looking for a quick and healthy lunch. SOUPS -- All their soups come with a side of thick, fresh bread. They have many soups on the permanent menu and they also have rotating soups that come and go (daily specials). I recently tried one of their daily specials soup, the 12 ounce size African peanut chicken soup ($6) in April 2026 and it was tasty. The African peanut chicken soup had a slight sweetness to it because of the peanut butter (or just peanuts added) but it was still edible. They also have an absolutely delicious Jambalaya soup that is a hearty option for when you are really hungry. Besides soups, they offer salads and Cleveland Vegan cookies. The cookies are $3 a piece. Customer service has always been friendly and efficient anytime I've visited. So cozy to have on a cold winter day. FYI the Lakewood location is open on the weekend but the kamm's corner is only on weekdays. I cannot get enough of this place!!!! Seriously my favorite soup and salad spot in Cleveland, I have been multiple times and the freshness of their food never gets old! Plus their staff is always so so kind!! This time I decided on my favorite Fattoush salad and a grilled cheese & tomato soup combo! My friend got the same combo but a Greek salad! I love souper market!!! The staff are always so friendly and the one guy loves to joke around with customers. They are always willing to go over what ingredients are in their soups. The food is so good! When you get a soup it comes with a slice of fresh bread. I love to get a soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Every soup I've had has been exceptional. They also make some great salads! I love the Greek salad but the favorite in my office at work is the asparagus salad. My co workers swear by it! read more

I stopped in today while working as an Uber Eats driver, and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with one of the staff members. I accidentally left my reading glasses in the car, so when I went to pick up the order, I placed my hand on the bag to try to read the name. The woman who called me up was extremely rude and made an unnecessary scene in front of other customers. Instead of simply confirming the name or offering basic courtesy, she chose to try and embarrass me. I've always respected this location and I'm sure the rest of the staff doesn't act this way, but this particular employee's attitude was completely unprofessional. For now, I'll be avoiding accepting orders from this restaurant. I may give it another try in the future, hoping the service has improved or that the employee has adjusted her attitude. read more

One thing about me is that I love soup. As in, it's always soup season. I love this concept - rotating soups, fresh bread, and salad. I love a good Souper Market location! This lunch spot is unassuming but the quality of the food is top notch. I was under the weather and really needed some soup. I was able to snag a parking spot right at the meters located outside the door and pop into this snug but cute location. Without question, this Eastern European gal lives for the chicken paprikash soup. A big quart of that to-go makes for a very happy dinner, since the soup is hearty, flavorful and tastes delicious with sourdough bread. They also have salads and some sandwiches (like grilled cheese), but if you're coming here, it should be for soup! This place is never open and when it is it's sporadic so while maps says they're open on certain times and days along with their yes we're open sign on their door when it's locked and closed is ridiculous. And it's not just this location and it also isn't a holiday that this has happened on more than one occasion. The soup and salad are good here, but the inconsistency of when it's open through the several locations is terrible. When I say there's a literal yes we're open sign on the door along with the days and hours they're open yet they are never open according to those hours and you can't even call in because it just rings so you don't know if they're just busy or really aren't there during work hours.... i'm a regular customer here. My favorite soups are the gazpacho, which is a summer favorite, chicken praprikash, and jambalaya. I usually will make this a combo with either a Fattoush salad with chicken or a Caesar salad. All the food is made right in front of you to order and there is artisanal bread that goes with the soup. I could eat Souper Market every day! And some weeks I do... I have never had something from Souper Market that I didn't like. The soups, salads, grilled cheeses - all SO good! My personal favorites include their Greek Salad, Loaded Baked Potato Soup, and Green Apple Salad. Everything is always fresh and incredibly flavorful! The soups change often and there are weekly flavors. I work in downtown Cleveland and thus frequent this location for lunch. It can get busy around noon but it is still worth the trip and wait (I have never waited more than 10 minutes max). I have visited the Lakewood location as well and can say the food and service are just as great! The only slight downside is that seating is very limited, but I think this is because most people just grab and go anyways! Highly, highly, recommend Souper Market! read more

So when Cara took me to Souper Market last week, I went for a combo of chicken noodle soup and asparagus salad. Sure, the guy who took our order was a bit cocky and they were out of several of the dressings and we had to wait a tad bit for the lettuce since they ran out that day; but the wait wasn't bad and everything really was super fresh and delicious. Moderately priced too! For a tiny little place, Souper Market does have a great selection of soups and salads. I highly recommend doing a combo. Still loving Souper Market, but now this is my nearest location. Granted I don't think I've come in during peak lunch times, but I've literally never experienced a line here. Furthermore, they're the fastest at prepping the salads. And since I almost always order their Greek Salad with chicken, it's great that I can be in and out in under 5 minutes--and even that's pushing it! Also, there's paid parking in the lot next to the building, but if you're lucky enough, you can snag one of the free, 15 minute parking spots out front. read more

When I asked about the menu, she said "WHAT?!?" and later when I asked another question she just pushed the menu over to me and told me to just look at that. Great customer service right? I politely excused myself, said "Have a good day" and walked out. Not giving these people my money. For the owners, your staff really needs to improve their attitudes. That was extremely rude. This occurred today, Saturday, May 30th at approximately 2 pm. The staff member was a Caucasian female, mid to late 20's, slender in build with tattoos. Sad thing is the food smelled wonderful. There are several mentions of the "Soup Nazi" from Seinfeld here, and that was what Souper Market quickly conjured up in my mind as well. In other words, a tiny storefront with only ten or so barstool seats, serving up little more than an assortment of eight or ten absurdly delicious and fresh-tasting soups in to-go containers. (There are also salads.) But as others say, there is no verbally-abusive, control-freak "Nazi" at the helm here. Instead, a rather uncommunicative but efficient young fella waited on us behind the counter; he seemed kinda peeved that we and a couple of other customers had interrupted his mid-afternoon kitchen-prep tasks and his Mission of Burma clangor. The soup is served in eight-, twelve-, sixteen-and-even-bigger ounce portions, and it comes with a big slice of almost perfect crusty bread. (The bread almost certainly comes from one of the stalls in the incredible West Side Market across the way.) We tried the Roasted Ratatouille and Tomato Ginger, and I thought both were complex and balanced enough that they could have been hi-jacked from the kitchen of a good high-end restaurant. Souper Market is yet another example of a dining establishment attaining excellence by focusing like a laser on just one small area of expertise and not getting caught up in trying to do too much. Great soup and hearty stocks combined with great bread... just a bit too salty to be perfect. Since it's a 35 mile drive I stocked up on 4 kids of soup, 2 stocks and a dressing. We had a tasting as soon as I got home and will freeze most of it... but I don't think it will last long! Great depth of flavor, the bisque is quite hearty, the tomato is nice and bright, the vinaigrette will make a great chicken marinade and the veal stock is amazing.
