Really good Thai chicken soup. There was a good selection of soups available and they let you have little samples if you can't decide what you want. I also had the Cuban sammich, I'm a sucker for a Cuban and nobody (outside of Miami it seems) makes them "right" - meaning squishing it on a plancha. This one is no different, it's got all the required ingredients to make a Cuban however it was just popped in to the toaster oven and not squished in a plancha. It was still very good however. There were two employees working, no other customers at all. Service was very quick, no waiting really beyond what it took to whip up my order. The food was so good. Kids meal was a great deal. The staff was so nice and patient as it took me a few minutes to order because my toddlers were running around. After eating here I will never go to Panera bread again. This place is soooooo much better. I've never had a better turkey bacon club in my life. Another classic example of Why The Heck Were We The Only People In Here? Our lunch plans got cancelled so we ended up here with me cranky so I was not expecting to like it so much. Do you know the all to well couples game? What do you want to eat? I don't know, what do you want to eat? I don't know, you choose. Ok what about a sandwich, no I don't want to eat a sandwich. First impressions the parking spaces seem to be so small for bigger vehicles. We walk in and it looks ok. Go up to the counter and I hear the girl behind the counter stating that they are out of most of their soups. I see people on the other side waiting for their orders. When it's my turn I didn't see broccoli and cheddar soup to my dismay. I said well I really came here because I wanted broccoli soup. She said we usually do but not today. Yes of course the day that I wanted to check them out. Well on a positive note, I guess it's great they sell out of soup. So I ordered a chicken and bacon Cobb salad. My other half got the chicken pot pie soup. We had a seat and waited. We were called and I picked up our food. Sat down and realized they didn't give me my French bread. The girl just said ok here you go. Very neutral, not even a kind sorry about that. (No biggie to me, but!). Get back to my seat and also see that I didn't get silverware either. They have it on their end, so I couldn't just grab it on my own. Now that young lady had a very kind demeanor. The chicken Cobb & bacon hardly had any chicken or bacon. The chicken pot pie was nothing to write home about. So maybe we should have kept playing the "What do you want to eat tonight Game" a little longer. I like Zoup! (Had no choice but to include that exclamation point...) When you walk in you head to the left side and you see the soups first. They always have about a dozen hot soups to choose from and you can sample each before you make your selection. They also have three sizes, the biggest is the bowl, then comes the cup, and the smallest is the one you would pair with a sandwich for their pick two option. Speaking of sandwiches, they have plenty to choose from and the heat them up in a toaster oven for ya. The bread has been good and the meats are quality. However, if you're not in the mood for a sandwich, they have really good salads as well. I went for the White Chili Chicken soup with a whole maple ham and Swiss with bacon sub. The soup was amazing! The sandwich was slightly sweet for my taste, but I was the one who went with maple ham, so whatchya gonna do? Despite the extremely hot weather today, I found myself craving soup for some reason, so I finally made my way into Zoup! In Middleburg Hts. Boy, am I glad I did!! I went with a bowl of the Lobster Bisque that had a side of French bread with it. It was fantastic!! Rich and creamy with large chunks of Lobster (and crawfish) meat. The bread was a nice surprise, as well. Not sure what kind of soup you want? They let you sample their vast selection before you buy. Fun Fact: They carry Fresca in their soft drink dispenser. While in Cleveland we stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites. Zoup was right across from the parking lot so we stopped in for lunch and so glad we did! We both decided on the half portion of chicken and bacon cobb - wow I wish this restaurant had a Buffalo location. The portions were very generous with a decent amount of chicken. The avocado dressing complimented this salad perfectly. They also have salad and sandwiches . Sandwiches come in half or full orders . They call your name when it's ready ! I was very pleased with both my soup and sandwich order . It was seasoned well and not with a lot of salt so you can tell they don't sit all week . They have lots of options for low fat, vegan , vegetarian and gluten free as well . Who doesn't love soup when it's cold outside?! This place has so many different soups to try and you can ask to sample them to decide. I sampled a few and chose the safe route, my usual choice of French onion, yum! The mushroom soup was good too but tasted a bit too much like mushroom for me to commit. I heard the chicken pot pie soup is really good so I'll have to try that next time. I chose to get the soup and a half sandwich. I couldn't decide between the turkey or the tuna. Here's where I made the mistake, choosing the tuna. It was not good at all. The capers in it made it worse. It was very bland. Other than that, I really like this place. I have only been here once before, as I stay at the Hampton Inn next door. It's nice to have such a place so close to the door of the Hampton. Great staff and great soup. They let you try any of the soups before you buy so you can feel confident in your purchase. I got the Lobster Bisque soup with Pesto 3 cheese sandwich. Soup is creamy and las a good rich lobster taste. The try 2 combo is a pretty good deal but the drink is $2.29 extra, kinda pricey. Check in offer for a cookie! Can't beat that either! read more

Our local Zoup! The food is pretty good, and I love their bread bowls! Zoup is a soup and sandwich chain, with a rotating seasonal soup menu. My husband and I enjoy Zoup better than Panera because we feel that you get more 'bang' for your buck if you're ordering soups and sandwiches. They may not have the monster variety of Panera, but it does what it does well. I also like the bread bowls better at Zoup! Our last time there, I was offered a sea salt and olive oil bread bowl and I decided to try it. Oh my goodness it was AMAZING. The crust was slightly crisped from the oil, and the crunchy sea salt made it to die for. It was great to dip the 'lid' portion of the bread bowl into my chicken and dumplings soup and have that extra sea salt flavor. Besides that-service can be a little 'meh' sometimes, with less than enthusiastic responses by team members, and if I order a sandwich I always have to make sure of what's on it-I've had mayo, tomatoes, or other ingredients I asked to be left off appear in the sandwich every now and then. These things happen sometimes, but I learned to check before leaving so that I don't have to go back out and have a different one be made. The restaurant and bathrooms are always very clean and well equipped. We really enjoy Zoup, and enjoy this location, so we will keep coming back. read more

I love soup. Probably more than most people. My mom would make soup the first course of EVERY dinner. Winter, spring, summer, fall, didn't matter. Bean, beef, chicken, pea, tomato, beet, cabbage and on and on. We always had a big bowl before the entree. So a restaurant dedicated to the love of soup sounds great to me. I even think the actual soup at Zoup is quite good. That chicken pot pie is addictive. Where they stumble are in the correlating aspects. Price, serving size, and serving style. Prices are a little high. Not hugely so but enough that I've personally seen people walk in, make a comment on the prices, and walk out. Portions are kind of small. A bowl will not fill you up, it's not enough for an average meal. If you dine in, they need to make the bowls a bit nicer. At this price you should at least be served in stoneware as Panera does if dining in. If they tweaked these things they'd be much busier. Sometimes on a chilly evening there's only 2-3 tables occupied. read more
