I do the lunches for our executive group and this is one of our favorite places to order from. Our CEO loves the soup- especially the chicken dumpling. Super fast service as I ordered in the parking lot and picked it up three minutes later. 3 different girls asked to help me & they made my drink fresh on the spot. Dining & restroom was clean! I first went to a McAlister's down in North Carolina years ago and am happy that there's one nearby! I will add more photos next time I go but today it's so cold I just got soup. The staff is always friendly and ready to greet you as soon as you walk in. They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads, soup, and loaded baked potatoes. Their French Dip is one of the best I've ever had. My husband loves the smoky pepper jack turkey sandwich. There's plenty of seating (both booths and tables) and they also offer catering. read more

I had the opportunity to try the veggie offerings at McAlister's Deli in North Olmsted, recently, and I can tell you that the dish is a far cry from the kind of sad veggie sandwiches of yesterday. I ordered the "Choose 2" including a half sandwich and soup, choosing, of course, The Veggie sandwich and the Veggie Chili. The Veggie Sandwich is served on a 9-grain bread, topped with spinach, tomato, cucumber, red onions, multi-colored peppers that they roast in-house, and avocado. The sandwich is usually served with herb mayo, which I chose to forego, and replaced instead with brown mustard. The bread was chewy, the veggies were crisp & fresh, and the avocado and mustard added a creamy element so that I didn't miss the mayo in the slightest. I chose the Veggie Chili as my other half of the "Choose 2" and it, too, was a solid plant-based offering. This bean-based chili is made with a vegetable base, pinto & kidney beans, and all of the spices and veggies you'd expect in a great chili. It was hearty, satisfying, and just what I was looking for to warm up a chilly day, no pun intended. Add to a great meal the fact that the service was truly exceptional, with two extraordinarily helpful team members that supported our visit, and I left full, happy, and with a satisfied plant-based heart and stomach. I come here from time to time, the food is usually fairly decent. It's not going to blow your socks off. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT order the cuban. I always order a Cuban when i see it on a menu. The Cuban here is probably one of the worst I ever had. I'm guessing they use some sort of boiled pork that's pulled apart. Way too much pork, bun turns to a watery mess, totally disgusting. Ratio of ham to pork not good. Going to stop here and lower rating to one star as a staff member at the counter is talking with cook and making fun of an elderly customer. Food is outstanding for a chain deli! Our favorite is the King Club, and we often split that. If we each order a club and side we end up with two meals. I also like them for delivery service when I'm simply feeling lazy! We've also eaten on site and the service is attentive and friendly. I want to be clear, my lunch tasted great. The service was, likewise, excellent - the kids behind the counter were polite and couldn't have been nicer. For that reason, I'm giving 4 -stars. My only issue (aside from the dirty entryway) was the bait and switch advertising of the sandwiches. If you look at what is supposed to be the Jalapeno Turkey Crunch in their advertising, you'll see layer upon layer of chips - intended to provide flavor and CRUNCH. Instead, the sandwich I got had probably 3 chips per half and they were smashed between bacon and cheese and mayo so they stood no chance. not only could i not really taste anything resembling a jalapeno, there was almost nothing in terms of crunch either. I don't blame the workers. These kinds of decisions come down to the bean counters and management (store, regional, corp). That said, the sandwich tasted great. My wife also enjoyed her soup and salad. We'll be back, I'm sure, but will I ever really trust McAlister's to provide the sandwich I've seem in print. read more

Excellent Customer Service at Middleburg Heights location. The crew and managers at this location are very friendly. Manager Monti is outstanding! The place was busy and he was moving fast from the back to the front and getting the food out quickly. In addition he worked well under at this busy location working well with the cashiers and making sure someone was moving around the dining room wiping tables. He handed me my bag and did a glance to check and make sure my order and silverware was in the bag. I am a business owner and would hire this employee at my company. Monti is a top tier restaurant manager and I was extremely impressed with his customer service and ability to manage a busy shift while staying calm under pressure. This is a new combination I have not seen. They have the traditional you pick two like Panera, but the options are much better. The main choices are sandwiches, salads, soups, and POTATOES! We went to Avon location for lunch just after that location opened and it was good not great but ok. We went back 2 months later again for lunch and it wasn't good, the workers there were not happy to be there at all just a bad atmosphere. When I received my salad once I got thru the top layer found it was full of blue cheese which I didn't like, it was not supposed to be on that salad. Front staff was fantastic and food was delicious, but this location does not honor the AARP discount. Manager looked at me, asked me my age, and then told me I don't get a senior discount. AARP discount is not the same thing as a senior discount, and the two companies have an agreement for AARP members. The food was decent however there was a new cashier that overcharged me. I didn't notice until I was about to throw away my receipt. I have the rewards and she scanned them a couple times but the promotion did not apply. I called customer service. Very obvious they are not in the U.S. and they were of no assistance. I found the place to be overpriced, for that type of eatery. I took two friends and we each got a Ruben and a drink. The cost was over $50. They even wanted a tip. Wow. Come on, you order at a counter - like a fast food place. You need to fill your own drink order and the wait at a table. Not very high class. I commented about it to the staff and was lectured about how their food wasn't processed. Talk about being ignorant. The corned beef, Swiss cheese, kraut and bread were ALL processed. Two stars because "meh, I've experienced better". Stopped in for some deli sandwiches. Staff is friendly and patient, prices are affordable. Food though, mediocre. I got the French Dip $8.79 that I added grilled onions and horseradish sauce to. For my side I went with the mashed potatoes and gravy. Also picked up the Southwest Griller $7.99 on wheat bread with a fruit cup for the side. Can't forget about that big Heath cookie $1.35. I will say that there was plenty of meat on the French dip and the cookie was a yummy treat, but the mashed potatoes and chicken sandwich were disappointing. Overall though I just felt like there was nothing special about the taste of the food, sure it filled you up and it's nice the sandwiches come with little sides besides chips, but I wasn't left with the impression that I needed to go back. I'd rather check out Lehman's Deli with it's homemade goods instead of driving to the mall for processed food (ex: you know that soup comes in a bag). Other reviewers seem to love this place, so as always, stop and check it out for yourself. read more

We stopped for lunch on a Saturday and it was extremely empty. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The menus are up on the wall and there are a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches and baked potatoes. There is also a nice kids menu. You order your food, they give you a number and you sit down and they deliver the food to you. We ordered an Italian sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese which we were going to split. The iced tea at slightly over $2 was enormous. They served the sandwich on 2 plates which was nice. The sandwich was very tasty and the ingredients all seemed very fresh. The Mac and cheese would have been excellent if it had been hot. Overall, good food and pleasant atmosphere. We waited quite a while for our food considering there were few customers. read more

I stop by here every few weeks for lunch, as I work in the area. I like their options for sandwiches and usually have great service while eating there. The cashiers sometimes stop by tables to refill beverages or clear trash. I loved their Black Cherry Mustard on sandwiches but I think it's recently been discontinued!
