The food is good. They have a great variety of soups and salads, some with an Asian twist. I tried a tid-bit of many items. The standouts: * Panko-fried fish. They were crispy, light, fluffy, and juicy morsels. * Hot and sour soup. It had the right balance of heat (spice), sour, consistency, and textures with mushrooms, bamboo, and egg. * Fried rice. Light, slightly aromatic, and well balanced. * Jap chae. Though it did not include many of the usual ingredients (principally egg and/or other protein), it was perfectly seasoned and the texture was spot on. * Mini croissants. These were delicious. A hint of sweetness and perfect flaky crusts. Each bite was perfect. * Ube ice cream. Should be Ube Ice Scream! The flavor is so subtle, but it is delicious. It's a new favorite for me. All-in-all, the variety was great. They had some unexpected offerings such as the seafood pizza that looked amazing (though I did not try because I kept forgetting), clam chowder, terriyaki salmon, pot roast (I believe). I didn't try the more usual offerings such as their general salad bar. But given the lines, I imagine they're good. I think the price and their service and the atmosphere are on-point. I usually only ever serve myself two plates, sampling only a few things, plus a small dessert. I think I'll have to return to try some of their many other offerings I didn't check out. I think it is at least worth a try, and for a salad and soup buffet, I expect it will sate many of your herbivore needs. We will definitely be returning and including it in our rotation for AYCE when we just can't settle on a single thing. Why only 4*? The place was clean, well-appointed decor-wise, and the food was good. But I did deduct a star because it was so busy that the kitchen had trouble keeping up with demand for their soups, pizzas, and protein offerings. The Asian/Chinese buffet is a dying breed. So it's nice to see a new one popping up. It's hot offerings are a little sparse compared to some of the places in the past: they had about 3 meats and roasted mushrooms. A decent selection of soup. And a wide selection of salads. Crab rangoons, fried rice, and chicken wings are also in the mix. For the kids or other similarly picky eaters, pizza and mac and cheese were on the menu. There is also the obligatory soft serve machine There is a very limited beer and frozen drinks menu. But it is in fact there. Dinner prices are on the weekends. Service is okay-ish. There werevery few cooked veggies: mushrooms, squash, baked potatoes. Bakery is thawed tiny little cakes in 4 varieties with colorful glaze that are high in color but bland in taste. They did have some hot mini muffins. There is also a frozen soft-serve machine dairy dessert masquerading as ice cream. American food was only Mac and cheese and a couple of pizzas that were under a heat lamp. The same ones were there when we left. No noodles at all, but white and fried rice. Lots of soups. Lots of veggies for the salad. That's about it. If you want all the soup and salad you can eat, then this is the place to go. Many MANY soups like the egg, miso, clam chowder, cheddar broccoli. very large salad condiments and pasta. There is also chocolate and vanilla icecream and cakes. Pasta and bread bar. The food is very fresh here and the price ($19.99) is totally worth it. I love how this restaurant not only satisfies the itch for my soup and salad BUT love the Asian influence added to some of their offerings. For example, not only can I get my chowder fix but also some egg drop, AND Tom Yum as well as some hearty chicken noodle soup. Honestly, these soups are so tasty, and I love how they don't skimp on their ingredients. I also love how they have so much to choose from, like legit has something for everyone. For the muscle heads, they have a lot of protein options such as salmon, beef, swai, tofu, and different preps of chicken--my favorite is their chicken wings, so crispy and tender! For the veggie lovers, they have a ton of the traditional veggies you'd find at Souper Salad but also Asian ones like pickled daikon, kimchi, and roasted ones. For the carb lovers, there are soo many options, such as your staple potato/sweet potato, mac and cheese, and spaghetti but they also have fried rice, japchae, miso mushroom pizza, and MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE--honey glazed croissants and blueberry muffins. Mama Lin's Soup and Leaves is just one of many recent AYCE openings, with more on the way, and they're making a strong argument for the return of unlimited soup and salad. This is no paltry Olive Garden situation though; we're talking a full fleet of immaculately fresh veggies, tons of different beans, crunchy toppings, sauces and seasonings, and plenty of sides. My favorite things were the roasted mushrooms, utterly covered in garlic, the soy-glazed pickled cucumbers, and the japchae noodles. There was one vegan soup at the time and yes, everything is labeled! My only small complaint that there wasn't any plain bread for dipping, BUT, you can get a whole baked potato or sweet potato to load up and satisfy your carb quotient for the meal. Besides, for these prices, I wouldn't dream of complaining. Kids prices are so low they're practically free, and there's a reduced rate for seniors. And it includes soft drinks. We tried the new Soup/Salad location yesterday for late lunch/dinner. It is $19.99/adult with 25% off offered currently for the first two weeks of opening. They have a long table with salad, toppings, dressings, and some breads, soups (6 options) and chicken wings, chicken salad, tuna salad, szechuan chicken, and teriyaki salmon. I will say it reminded me mildy of souplantation same vibe, but not quite the same. My husband said the chicken noodle soup reminded him of the classic chix noodle soup from the beloved souplantation, yet still different. I tried the broccoli cheddar, cream of mushroom, clam chowder, and egg drop soup. Of the varieties I tried i have to give it to egg drop soup for my fav. They also had tom yum soup, and hot and sour soup, that I did not get, but they looked ok. The toppings for the soups included cilantro, cheese, green onion, chili oil, and I believe dried red pepper flakes. They have in the their hot section, breads including very tough focaccia?? Miso mushroom pizza, bbq chix pizza, and cheese pizza. They have baked potato and sweet potato, with your typical sour cream and I believe butter to make your loaded potato. I'm glad they offered salmon, but it went out fast, and does not get replenished very quickly. The other protein option including the hot chicken wing wasn't quite good tasted off putting not sure if due to being not fresh/freezer/quality etc but I wouldn't recommend that. In the cold food section their tuna kimchi salad, chicken salad, and szechuan chicken, I would say the seasonings flavor didn't quite hit the mark for me. I normally love the breads and of course the pasta, but the mac and cheese was a bit bland needed a bit more flavor/seasoning, the foccacia was like eating a brick toast over cooked missing the good amount of olive oil to provide the much needed moisture, and flavor the cook was way over done in the oven as these bricks were small and just hard to chew. The other red pasta I skipped, the bbq chicken pizza, miso mushroom pizza and cheese pizza the crust was not quite good the dough was missing the element I look for in any pizza, but perhaps being a buffet style it isn't something they can provide, but it was not soft/chewy like how souplantation was able to make it, which was their selling point and went out like hotcakes. This place has a very nicely designed/decorated interior, the staff are friendly, the rotation on the hot food needs to be refilled a little faster as I arrived after 2pm on Saturday and there were several empty slots that were not filled and sat empty for some time even when going back to check. I understand its a soft opening phase, so as it continues hopefully the workflow improves and the demand is matched by the speed of being able to restock the line as it empties/or runs low. But like some people have mentioned the taste is definitely milder which isn't bad, but the option for seasoning or perhaps changing the menu to incorporate more asian options for the cook/specialty they're aiming for might help them get to where they would like to be to meet their style. read more

I came here during their grand opening week. I was excited to try this place out since I've enjoyed their hotpot location (Soupleaf). I did like the concept of AYCE soup and salad. Given that its an AYCE soup and salad restaurant, I was expecting a wider variety of soup and salad. However, there were only a handful of options available. I came on the first Thursday night of their opening so perhaps they've received feedback and added more selections because I read some reviews mentioning egg drop soup, salmon, chicken pizza, chicken wings, etc. These were options that weren't available when I went, which is fine since it seems that they are very receptive to receiving feedback and acting on it. Out of the soups I've tried, I did enjoy their clam chowder soup the most. I would love to see more Asian style lighter soups that aren't cream based being offered as well. It would also be nice if they offer more ingredients like edamame, chopped cabbage, peppers, baby corn, vermicelli noodles, variety of noodles, etc. There was a half of the buffet table that was not utilized so it'd be great if they offer other savory options (summer rolls, etc). The restaurant itself was very large and spacious. The decorations were beautiful and grand. There's a long buffet table in the center with another buffet table in the back for the soups. It's in an odd place but once you get here the restaurant is HUGE. Large selection of fresh vegetables, some asian and about 5 different soups to choose from. It was a little bit of a drive for us but we would definitely make the trip here again considering the price is very reasonable for what they have. Went with my lunch group and we were blown away! We really needed a fresh and healthy buffet with options for everyone and for an amazing price! First, it is incredibly beautiful and pleasing to the eye. Everything is immaculate and so many options. Please keep in mind this is a soup and salad buffet. It does have lots of things you can have with your soup and salad! I prefer this since we can go other places for full mains. I loved this shrimp cocktail, crab salad, hot and sour soup, mini croissants, Jasmine Iced Tea and Ube soft serve. There was so much I couldn't even get to---I'll be back! The service was great and a manager even stopped by and checked in on us. He asked if everything was good and if we had anything we recommend they add. We went this past weekend and it was pretty busy! For the most part I enjoyed the food. Salad was fresh, most of the food was good. Service was good, buffet was clean. Restroom clean as well- which is def a plus. Some of the items for improvements: 1. Chicken congee - was excited to eat this but I couldn't down it after one bite. They should clean the chicken better as there is this chicken odor/aftertaste that's not pleasant. Maybe clean with ginger and lime to get rid of the smell. The fried chicken wings have some of that but since it's fried you'll notice less. 2. Dessert is boring (minus the fresh fruits). The mini cakes and ice cream are not that great and typical of most buffets. Would be nice if there's some unique Asian desserts 3. They should have japchae hot instead of cold. What a delight and one of the best buffets our entire group has been to. So many options and the price is great...notable items that I had were the mini croissant which were soft, buttery, and super flaky. Had a good experience at their soft opening! Salad bar was pretty standard and could use some expansion - more dressing options. The highlights were the soup - tried clam chowder and tomyum, both were very good! Additionally the baked goods - mushroom miso pizza, mini blueberry muffins, and butter croissant bites were very satisfying. Pro tip: vanilla sugar soft serve + crispy warm croissant bites = a divine combo! Would love to see some Asian clear soups that are usually at buffets like wonton soup and egg drop soup. We went to check out this restaurant after we had seen a ton of things about it on social media. We really didn't know what to expect because buffets can vary. We were pleasantly surprised! First of all, they've done a great job with the physical appearance of the restaurant. The food was really good too! Enjoyed the salad bar, and a lot of the cold dishes like shrimp, Kimchee, and noodles. I had egg drop soup and one piece of pizza before I got too full to try other dishes. As soon as I saw this on yelp buffet decided to try it out as the name indicated Greens buffet which is something I have been actively looking for. There is a huge selection of greens, beans, corn, carrots, mushrooms, lettuce and everything you would expect in a greens buffet. In addition they also have chinese items like hot n sour soup and egg drop soup and baked fish and shrimp salad and pepper chicken and other items from the chinese menu. The soups were top class and every food item was fresh and the whole place had a very clean ambience to it. Will take some pictures next time. read more
