Our first time at Green Mango and it made me want to do a MANGO TANGO because the food is so good. Portions are nicely sized as well. Shared Pad Kee Mao and still had leftovers to take home. We will usually order a dish with a specific spice level and this time we did not. I am so glad because I would say it already came at a level 5. It had just the right kick. The noodles and veg were perfectly cooked as was the beef. We also got an order of tiny dumplings with seasoned chicken filling. They were so cute and yummy we ate the entire thing and got an order to go. The restaurant itself has nice decor and it's super clean. Green Mango was a total win for both food and vibe. we ordered the pad see ew with beef and it was dialed in. perfectly balanced, great noodles, and just the right amount of sauce. nothing heavy or sloppy. the chicken spring rolls were unreal. so good that our three-year-old ate three of them, vegetables and all. unheard of. that alone deserves a shoutout. the atmosphere made the night. there's a small playground outside with a lot of personality, which let the kids play while we actually had adult conversation. lighting was comfortable, the space felt easy, and everything just worked. great food, great setup for families, great experience overall. we'll be back. read more

Met a friend for lunch here a week or so ago. I've been there a couple times before and the food is always fresh and yummy! They weren't so busy so they were nice enough to accommodate us moving to another table that was better suited for us. We shared some tea and each of us ordered off their lunch menu which included a soup and egg rolls. My friend ordered some additional items, including a papaya salad and a Tom Ka soup. The restaurant is nice, well lit, and open. I look forward to eating there again soon and wish I lived closer to that location because I'd probably be going more often! read more

We've been coming to Green Mango since they first opened, and the food has always been consistently delicious. This visit we had the Tom Kha with tofu (my favorite Tom Kha from any restaurant), the veggie dumplings, and the cashew chicken--all were excellent. Absolutely amazing Thai food with high quality ingredients in both their food and their boba tea! I enjoyed combination fried rice and the shrimp in it was delicious, especially with chili powder I added. My family loves Green Mango - it is where we always go for birthdays, holidays, etc. We typically order take out since we have a large family to feed and while the food is delicious, I do feel like the portions have gotten smaller over time, especially when ordering take out vs. dining in. And because of the smaller portion sizes I do feel like it is a bit overpriced. BUT, we do love the food, have always had wonderful service there. Very tasty! Not too greasy, healthy portions of meat and everything tasted fresh, even getting it via delivery. They do mean it when you order things spicy, so for those of you who want it, they make it happen but for those who don't...know that even medium brings a good kick. If this was close to my home I'd be here everyday! It was absolutely fantastic! I'm still thinking about the appetizer plate, it was so filling that I barely touched my main and packed most of it for home where it was devoured by my mil. The sampler had a ton of variety and they quickly replaced the pork option with vegetarian ones which was great as I only eat halal and they served halal chicken which is rare in Austin. Every single thing we tried from the egg rolls to the crepe cake to the pad ke Mao was excellent and full of flavor. This has to be the best pad Thai I have tried and the excitement I have knowing it's just down the street is dangerous! I have ordered their pad Thai 4 times in the last 2 weeks. So yummy! I haven't eaten inside yet and have only ordered to go or through a food delivery service, but the food has been spot on every time! It looks to have a playscape in the back for kids wanting to play and the location is great because it's not part of the busier section of stores further down the parking lot. It was a beautiful, cool evening and I met my friend at this restaurant as it is about half way between our respective homes. We decided to take advantage of being able to sit outside before the heat descends on us until Thanksgiving. The service was very good and informative. We split a sampler platter and each had salads. Green Mango is a great Thai restaurant out near 620 and 2222. It is in a shopping center with lots of stores and restaurants kind of on the southwest end. They have a specific lunch menu, which is excellent as well as a full dinner menu. There's also a bar and a lot of outdoor seating which is very nice if it is not too hot. Every time I come here, the food has been great, and the servers are fantastic. It's best to come with a few people so that you can try multiple dishes. The Pad Thai is excellent as are the curries that I've had. Next time I will try the Thai fried rice. It's well worth the trip here even if you do not live nearby. read more

The vegetable one was decent. The coconut shrimp was raw unfortunately, but they made a replacement when I showed them (really appreciate the service.) The satay and spring rolls were decent. We ordered the pad Thai with tofu, hot, with coconut soup and Pad Kra Prow with steamed tofu, hot with miso soup. $31.40 Their lunch meal with an entree order comes with soup: coconut or miso and two spring rolls and small side salad. The spring rolls are super skinny and had a bit of cabbage and carrots, nice and crispy at least. The coconut soup comes with chunks of chicken, mushroom and lemongrass, it's okay. The miso is average as well. We would have considered the papaya salad but it has shrimp and sounds like it might be too fishy from the sauce for my husband's taste. The pad Thai lunch portion looks about half of the dinner portion and looks appropriately sized. The pad Thai is quite mushy the more I think about it. The noodles are way overcooked and it's so-so. The pad kra prow portion looks quite small, maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of a dinner portion. Could have given maybe 3-4 more forks of food for this lunch time version. The sauce is quite hot, it's significantly spicier than the pad Thai in fact. It has good flavor anyways. This dish was better than their pad Thai, which is usually hard to mess up. We will be hungry for dinner in a couple of hours for sure at this small portion for lunch. read more

We had a great first impression of this restaurant, nice decor, chill vibe. However, the food was a letdown due to several mistakes made by the chef. The chicken satay was served raw on the inside. I mean, seriously? One of our group ordered garlic tofu, no meat/seafood but discovered a piece of shrimp in the dish. A shock for someone who doesn't eat seafood and mildly allergic to it. The worst part was that the server seemed completely unapologetic about the mistake and quickly asked what they can do for us. They comped us for those two dishes but still, an apology from the chef would be more meaningful. Went yesterday afternoon with party of 6 for late lunch before a movie. We were pretty much the only people in the restaurant - only one or two other tables. The service was horrible. We had to get up twice to go ask for something (once for something I had already asked for) from the waitress who was sitting at a table eating/talking with other people. She never came back to refill water glasses and we had to wave at the people sitting across from her (as her back was to us) to get attention for more drinks. The food was ok. The spicy edamame had almost no flavor and desperately needed salt (which I asked for - then had to get up and ask for again).
