My father recently had his defibrillator battery replaced at this hospital. We've spent a lot of…read moretime here over the past 16 years. They've made improvements to parking and the rooms, but the café and food options still need some work. The check-in process for day procedures could also use improvement. It seems they are updating the lobby area as well. The staff is attentive and does their best, and I had a great experience with the ER staff during my last visit. However, the follow-up care after the ER visit could be better. Overall, this hospital is one of the better options in the Austin area. After reading others' reviews and their experiences, I've realized that many of the issues are common across hospitals in the US medical system, not just this one. I am glad we have the doctors of St David's South on my father's medical team. They have given us 16 and counting bonus years.

My mother was brought to the ER after suffering from severe diarrhea for two weeks. At the time of…read moreadmission, she was extremely weak and unable to retain any liquids. Despite her visible dehydration and the difficulty staff had establishing an IV, she remained in the ER for approximately four hours without receiving any IV fluids. Before being discharged, she suffered a physical setback, yet she was still sent home. The following day, we were notified that she tested positive for C. diff. It is deeply concerning that a patient in her condition, with what turned out to be a serious infection, was brushed off and discharged while still thirsty and weak. We now have to wait several days to see her primary care physician for follow-up care that should have been initiated or supported by the emergency team. I am disappointed by the lack of effort and the dismissive attitude we encountered during this visit. I would appreciate a review of her case and an explanation as to why standard interventions, such as administering saline fluids, were not provided given her symptoms. We can do better for all patients.

WellMed at Ben White - Can't fill prescrioptions correctly, but they get paid overtime to watch movies, this is why I don't reccomend Well Med at either location.

I was a patient at the north location for over 18 months and the last 6 mont6hs I was never able to…read moreget my correct prescriptions filled EVEN AFTER I asked them to check doctors note for new dosage. Thats 6 months out of 7. When I checked their facebook page I saw that the staff posts often that they are being paid overtime to watch movies with the screenshot including popcorn and a soda can. NOT PROFESSIONAL and in my opinion someone in the back is practicing medicine without a license instead of giving me what the dr recently ordered, just refilling the old prescription. THAT SUCKS So even though the staff I saw was very nice, I don't need nice, I need competent. So I switched to the south location. I was promised a visit with the doctor for my first visit since I was having medication issues. Instead a very harried and hurried p.a. shows up obviously not willing to take the time to actually hear out my answer to her first question "what brings you here today?" Interrupted in every answer, I finally stopped talking, and once she was making eye contact with me, I told her to just ask yes or no questions since she obviously didn't have the time for anything longer than a one word answer. At that point she apologized and said she would listen. Even with her subsequent interruptions she began to listen and respond more professionally. She assured me I would see the doctor within two days and penciled me in for an appt two days later at 1. When I went out to the front desk and requested a card for the appt time, the receptionist Lisa mind you she is in her 50's gave me a SNORT and an EYEROLL and told me the dr was booked ahead for 6 weeks. After instruction by the p.a. she relented and I got the card with time at 1:00. That day I left my home just before 12, and sadly an accident on 35 had traffic stopped in place for more than a half hour. At 1:13 I called the office to let them know I was stuck in traffic, the receptionist Lisa me not to bother as the next patient was already there and would be given my time slot instead. I said please give me next appt available with the doctor and she then said you can come in at 3. That appointment was with another p.a. and not a doctor so I would still not be able to resolve medication issues UNTIL I SAW THE DOCTOR 6 weeks later. So would I recommend this comedy of errors to someone seeking competent medical practice, a Doctor to be seen by when warranted, and polite and helpful staff? NOT HARDLY. I brought receipts for my complaint, sadly I did not have my camera out to document Lisa's SNORT and EYEROLL. Steer clear, unless you like impediments to good health care placed in your path.

I've had it with the staff at Urology Austin. I love my doctor. Dr. Hardee is great. She's…read moreknowledgeable and personable. But I still can't figure out what's wrong with the staff. Are they underpaid? Are they unskilled? Do they just not care? Time after time, I've had a problem getting my prescriptions refilled. They call it in to the wrong pharmacy. They call in the wrong vial size. ... Or they just don't respond at all. There's no way to contact anyone directly. Just the portal and the off-shore messaging service they use. They rarely check messages in the portal. And as far as I can tell, any messages left with their off-shore service go into a black hole. No messages get through to the office or the staff. I'm really close to filing a complaint with the Texas Medical Board over the shoddy service their staff gives. I hate to do that, because, as I said, my doctor is great. It's the "care" offered between my semi-annual appointments that's abysmal. I would be happy to adjust this review if I started seeing consistently better service from the staff. If I could give Dr. Hardee a separate review, I'd leave her five stars. If I was gauging the staff separately, this would be a 1-star review.

I trusted Dr. Lawrence Tsai and Texas Urology Specialists with a life-changing penile implant…read moresurgery in December 2025. Shortly after surgery, I began reporting significant problems, including loss of length, asymmetry, poor glans support, and ongoing functional issues. Rather than investigating these complaints, I was repeatedly told to continue cycling the implant and wait. Because my complaints were not properly documented or taken seriously, my insurance company repeatedly denied imaging requests that could have identified the problem much sooner. Months later, after I sought answers on my own, an MRI confirmed what I had been reporting from the beginning: undersized cylinders, 1.3 cm proximal migration of the left cylinder, and a left lateral floppy glans deformity. The most disturbing part of this experience is that Dr. Tsai ultimately dropped me from his care while I was still in the critical stages of healing and actively seeking help for unresolved complications. Instead of receiving support, I was left to navigate specialist referrals, insurance battles, and diagnostic testing on my own. I am now scheduled for revision surgery in September 2026 to correct problems that were never adequately addressed. Complications can occur with any surgery. What I cannot accept is having legitimate concerns dismissed, objective findings ignored until proven by imaging, and then being abandoned as a patient when I needed care the most. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Tsai or Texas Urology Specialists.

They have outdoor spaces as well as a small parking garage. My appointment was early in the morning so I still had choices to park outside or in the parking garage. I chose to park in the garage since it was raining. Checking in when I got there was easy. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly. My wait time in the waiting area to be called back for my appointment wasn't too long. The waiting area is nice and roomie with nice comfortable chairs and a TV. The are was very clean. When I got called to go back to the exam room the doctors assistant was friendly and professional. She asked questions about my health history, what brought me into see the doctor and took my blood pressure. She was straight to the point. The wait time before the doctor actually came in was about 40 minutes...longer than I wanted to wait. Once the doctor came in he was friendly and polite. He asked what brought me into see him and he listened to all of my concerns and problems. He took the time address everything separately and made sure he covered all of my concerns and issues. My only problem was, I had a hard time understanding everything he was explaining because I didn't understand some of the terminology and medical terms. I should have said something, but I didn't, so that's on me. I like this doctor and I feel like I'm getting the proper treatment and care. My first opinion of this medical practice is great. I will continue to be a patient of theirs. I didn't mention any names because I didn't get permission to use their names.
