If you go for an annual wellness visit, you WILL be charged for numerous assessments that were not performed, or for a higher level of care than what was actually provided (in other words, upcharging). I used to overlook this because I had great insurance and it would usually be a $25 copay. Now that I have a high-deductible plan, I refuse to pay over $200 for an annual wellness visit that did not have any diagnostic elements. At my last visit, charges included: -99396 Established patient periodic preventive medicine examination age 40-64 years (yes, this is legitimate) -99214 Established patient office or other outpatient, visit (This is an upcharge. I did not discuss ANY topics besides immunizations, cancer screening, and contraception. These are all components of a wellness visit. A provider cannot charge for both of these visit types) -96127 Brief emotional or behavioral assessment (This charge was for a standard mental health assessment that is considered preventative screening. If you fill out a PHQ-9 and GAD-7 at check-in, they will charge you for it without telling you. You will not be given the option to decline these forms.) -99497 Advance care planning by the physician or other qualified health care professional (This is a flat-out lie. There was absolutely no discussion of advanced directives at my visit.) Lab assessments - Amy ordered a slew of expensive hormonal tests without my consent, and now I'm on the hook to pay Quest. I didn't discuss any concerns that would necessitate a hormone work-up. I have contested the bill with my insurance company. Honestly I am not sure how Inspire stays in business because the billing practices are so blatantly fraudulent.

Every time I walked into that office I am greeted right away and there wasn't a long wait time. Everyone is always smiling and filled with joy. I travel from south austin and I don't plan on changing them unless I move far, far away. lol Now that Dr Alberda is part of the team there is no better doctors office then this one. I have never walked in to a place like this where you get joy, understanding and great knowledge/skills like this office. Even the phlebotomist is a sweetheart with great skills to draw your blood. Its a short visit with her but her pleasantry last beyond that. Every single person of the staff is excellent at their job and they feel like old friends. I wanted to give kudos to this team and know that it's appreciated how they treat the patients like family with care and excellent skills. Too many doctors see themselves above human error. My primary doctor had retired and I had to…read moreschedule my annual wellness exam with a new doctor. Dr Harris was taking new patients so I scheduled with a clear understanding that I was coming for an annual wellness exam covered by Medicare. Unfortunately my appointment was during the flooding in the Austin area, with low water crossings closed prior to public road closings were updated. My travel to the clinic took 90 minutes that is typically 50 minutes. I checked in to the front desk 17 minutes late and Dr Harris made the decision to turn me away regardless of the 3 hour round trip I had just made, white knuckling it all the way. Since I didn't know her, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for the following day. Storms still prevailed but I took alternative routes and arrived 20 minutes before my appointment. Upon checkin I was told this annual physical would not be covered by Medicare. And was given a spread sheet that required fasting for the blood test, another request I made in advance to have before the exam, only to be told she doesn't do that with new patients, requiring a followup visit - I'm guessing for additional costs tacked on to the initial visit. She finally showed up to my room 30 minutes after the office visit was scheduled. This was our first introduction and I knew just by her appearance she was not in good physical health based on her obesity. I proceeded to share with her the appointment confusion over an annual wellness exam that clearly is covered by Medicare and the $215 costs now being required not to mention the return for labs. Then I showed her pictures of my previous days travel showing her the closed water crossings from the morning before, and the 17 minute delay. At that moment I was prepared to leave without an exam based on her 30 minute late entry to my 2nd appointment! I'm done with this "God" mentality in the medical industry and how rules apply to clients but not held by the same doctors that set these rules. And one more point...if you are in the medical industry, especially primary care, you should practice and look the part. One of the questions I was going to ask was her knowledge of nutrition, supplements and peptides along with HRT. I got my answer when the fat Dr Harris walked into my room. Do better.

First Visit: I had been dealing with a respiratory tract infection for almost 30 days and had already been treated by another community care center. Since I had a trip planned, I wanted to confirm whether I was still contagious. After completing my paperwork, I was called in quickly. The doctor reviewed my symptoms--fever that came and went, a bad cough, and throat discomfort. She checked my vitals, body temperature, and BP, which were all normal at that moment. Since I had already completed a round of antibiotics, she advised me to let my body fight the infection, reassuring me that I was no longer contagious. That was a relief, and I left Ally without being charged. Second Visit: After returning from my trip to California, I came back to Ally with a 103°F fever, severe body aches, extreme fatigue, and a baddd cough. This time, they ran every available test for infections and viruses, which confirmed that I had Influenza A, Influenza B, and COVID-19 and Respiratory Tract Infection. Unfortunately, since I had been sick for over a week, the doctor explained that antiviral medication wouldn't be effective. But they saw how severe my cough was, they prescribed an inhaler and cough medication to help manage my symptoms. I was charged $220 but that was in my best interest there are several other options which you can decide accordingly. What I appreciate most about Ally is that they are upfront about costs. Unlike other ERs that seem to prioritize billing over patient care, they inform you of pricing in advance, giving you the option to accept or decline services based on what's in your best interest. I honestly trust them more than my own physician at this point. I once took a friend to another ER where she tested positive for the flu. All they did was checked her vitals and BP before prescribing medication. Later she received a bill for $1,000. I was very ill at the time, so I do not have any pictures of Ally. However, I've attached a screenshot as proof of my visit.

We were taken to a room within 5 minutes and greeted by two nurses who immediately began consultation and setting up the IV. I love how quick the discharge process was -- they make it so simple for you. Shoutout to Colin and Sherry, they are the best nurses we have come across and that says a lot given we are in an ER every few months. They are very great at making you feel heard and overall just amazingly nice people. The best of the best. Dr. Wright was very knowledgeable and just as respectful/nice as the nurses. Dr. Wright spent the time with us that a lot of medical providers fail to do. He explained options, possible effects, and helped us with decision making. He never made us feel like he was in a rush. He listened and advised. Thank you for that. Overall, we were taken very good care of at Vik Complete Care and will certainly choose this location in the future. I spent over 30…read moreminutes driving around trying to find a parking spot because the lot was full, and to make matters worse, someone was taking up two parking spaces by parking terribly. I went into Suite 109 and informed the staff. I even offered to give them the vehicle's license plate number because I felt it was a serious inconvenience, especially for a surgery center where patients need access to parking. I suggested they call a tow truck or have someone address the situation since people coming in for surgery shouldn't have to waste time searching for a place to park. The only response I received was, "Yeah, parking is bad." That made me feel completely brushed off, like no one cared or took the concern seriously. It was very disappointing and unprofessional, especially considering this is a medical facility where patients may be in pain, dealing with emergencies, or on a strict schedule for surgery. Customer service starts the moment a patient walks through the door. Concerns shouldn't be dismissed with a shrug. If staff aren't willing to address issues or at least show empathy, then perhaps it's time to invest in better customer service training. There are plenty of people who would be grateful for the opportunity to work and would take patient concerns seriously. Something needs to be done about the parking situation. Either enforce proper parking so vehicles aren't taking up two spaces, or expand parking if possible. Patients coming in for surgery already have enough to worry about--they shouldn't have to spend 30 minutes searching for a parking spot before their procedure.
