After a 9 hour drive from DFW the owner of Pampered Pets was no where to be found! I called several times, left messages, waited in an empty parking lot and worried. What kind of business treats their clients this way??? Several phone calls later I was able to secure the needed boarding for our dogs with South Bark Grooming (Village at Laguna Vista). The staff at South Bark Grooming was wonderful with our pups and even sent us pics with our pups posing at the Christmas tree. Our dogs were happy & clean when we picked them up. But if we had to board her again, we would drive from the Canadian border in Minnesota to his place to leave her. Jaime and his wife Mimi treat all their fur baby guests as if they were their children. The smaller dogs sit and sleep with them in their homes, which are attached to the kennel. The fenced-in back yard is for the large dogs to run and play, and the front fenced area is for the smaller ones to do the same.

I'm so happy my husband researched ahead of time and found Paws and Claws. Upon calling to make a reservation, we spoke with the owner, Suzan, and I instantly knew we were making the right choice. She was so kind and asked questions about my pet, so I knew this was a caring person who loved animals and would take great care of my baby! We arrived and were so impressed with the facilities. Clean, organized and most importantly the pups looked happy! I loved the pet "quarters"; they consist of a spacious/long den that opens up to an outdoor space with grass for the dogs to relieve themselves. She also offers rooms with no grass in case your dog tends to dig. The rooms for each dog are private but allow the pups to socialize since they're separated by a fence. It's safe and allows the dog the freedom to socialize as much or as little as possible. Make sure to check out the website. Suzan also offers training and I would definitely consider that if we need extended boarding. I highly recommend Paws and Claws to anyone in the area!
