We had a great experience with Hana Hardwood. The floors turned out beautiful, but what really surprised us was how much of a difference the larger baseboards and door casings made. Chris suggested upgrading them, and it completely changed the look of the rooms. Everything feels more updated and finished now. Another thing that made the project so much easier was being able to rent their box truck to store our furniture. We ended up needing extra time so we could get the interior painted, and they were kind enough to let us keep the truck longer. That flexibility took a lot of stress out of the process. What a disorganized bunch of nonsense I experienced! I scheduled a time for someone to come to my home for an estimate on refinishing our living room hardwood floors. I put it on my calendar and received a text confirmation from the company. The guy(I won't put his name) showed up on the WRONG day while I was in the middle of a very important zoom business meeting. I asked him to come back on the correct day and he argued with me telling me I had the date wrong so I showed him my text from Hana. He still insisted on seeing the area while he was there to do the estimate. Meanwhile I missed a very critical part of my zoom meeting. I called a week later to follow up on the estimate since I never heard back. The same guy who came to my home answered and said the owner Chris didn't want to do the job because 2 different wood floors were blending together in one area. Nobody bothered to communicate and just left me hanging. I finally went with another Hardwood floor company to do the job. What a difference they were from start to finish! My experience with the other floor company was very professional and easy to work with. They did a beautiful job on the floor and blended the 2 rooms seamlessly. Obviously Hana Hardwood lacks the skills to do anything that takes a little extra effort like filling in 2 grooves in the floor and blending 2 rooms together. The job is complete and looks amazing thanks to the fantastic back up company I found. Meanwhile I'm still waiting for communication and an estimate from Hana Hardwood. Ugh! What a shameful way to treat customers and waste their valuable time. *Except for the apology for coming out on the wrong day, Chris' response is totally false proving my frustration with disorganized nonsense. Your estimate guy spent time with me to discuss what we needed done and even took pictures. I contacted your company twice asking when I would receive the estimate. They said they were waiting for YOU to review it. Nobody from your company ever tried to contact me so your records are not correct! In the future please make sure you have truthful accurate information when you respond to someone's disappointment and concerns. You installed my floors in July of 2023 and I contacted you in April of 2024 with the issue. I waited months for you to pay any attention to me. I consistently followed up with you only for you to tell me you had back surgery and were moving offices and didn't have time to assist me. When you did finally assist, after constant follow up from me, the certified commercial wood flooring inspector that either you or your supplier hired, who by the way is a member of the national wood floor association came to my house to inspect and confirmed the bugs are powderpost beatles and they are in the wood you installed. I appreciate your response, Chris. Thank you. When I sent the pictures, there was only one spot that was damaged. But now it seems that even a quick Swiffer is damaging it further. I haven't had any dog accidents since then, and yet, the floors are completely covered in water damage. The only moisture has been from the Swiffer. Not only that, but I also have felt pads on all my furniture, and the floor is COMPLETELY scratched up. I don't even live here full-time! Every little thing scratches the floor. I had my last floors for 18 years, and they were in much better shape prior to the flood in my house. My bedroom floor is 24 years old, and is almost perfect. You can see why, then I am furious with this manufacturer and incredibly disappointed that you guys didn't stand behind me. They do not honor their warranty, and because you guys didn't do the installation, you wouldn't help. I just wound up throwing several thousand dollars I don't have down the drain. read more

I bought a new house with all hardwood floors about 2500 sf including stairs that were an absolute mess with scratches and everything. Chris came by on schedule to give an estimate that was more than reasonable. he recommended special sealants to help protect it and different stains to make the wood stand out. There were some deep slits that he would try to get out but if not would need to replace some planks. The job was done in a week, sooner than expected. First off, after receiving a total of 5 bids - not only did Chris (the owner) of Hana Hardwood floors come in with the most competitive price, his knowledge and experienced shined through immediately. I went to his showroom and his team explained the differences of the woods, etc.. I ended up choosing a beautiful natural white oak and he told me that the job would take no longer than a week and that included complete demolition of the existing marble floors. Found Hana Hardwood on Yelp when we needed our original oak floors refinished and baseboards replaced. I took a chance and was very happy with the results. The office has great communication and was always responsive if I had any questions. The crew showed up on time and finished the job a day early. They took the time to prep the room and sealed everything off as much as possible to keep the dust to one room. The site was cleaned each night and after the job was finished. They did a great job of matching the color of a prior refinish job, too. We had a great experience installing LVP in about half of our house. (1200 sq ft of old tile and carpet). Both Tabetha and Stephanie were very helpful in the show room of answering questions and giving suggestions and also helpful when any questions popped up during the install. Installation took about 3 days with a small hangup after taking the tile up on the raised foundation flooring to find concrete underneath. That's when the owner Chris came right away to sort out what the options were and get things back on track again with self leveling concrete. (we never knew that was underneath there and it's always a surprise of what could be hiding under the flooring...) We also had a bannister installed and the guy was very careful and meticulous in what he built. (And that took about a day and a half) That came out great too. Overall, we thought the pricing was great, the installation was smooth and the overall result was fantastic. read more
