They ended up giving me a replacement brace under warranty. They also gave me another one and I asked them is this covered under my insurance and they assured me that it was. It ended up a year later they are now trying to bill me for it because of a mistake they made. Do NOT use the Palm Springs, FL Hanger Clinic. There are many other Hanger Clinic locations that…read moreare a lot more ethical than this one in Palm Springs, Florida. First, they charged me $25 to replace a strap on my AFO, as the velcro was no longer sticking - a 60 second task, and even though I was ordering my new AFO through them. I didn't argue, and paid their requested fee. NOTE: Both the Hanger Clinics in NYC AND in Gainesville replaced the strap for me at NO CHARGE throughout the years. That should have been my first clue not to use this location for my replacement AFO. Fast forward, my new plastic AFO was ready for pick up. They used cloth straps, a much less durable strap than the leather I had on my original AFO - perhaps so they can keep collecting their $25 fees every time these straps go bad. They received $1,500 from my insurance company - after lying about the type of AFO and all the additions - they claim to have included with the brace, but didn't. And in spite of the fact that they received $1,500 from my insurance company, they are charging me an ADDITIONAL $170!!! This is after 1) I was told the AFO was covered by my insurance and 2) I spoke with someone in the office a couple of months ago when I received the first bill, who assured me that the additional charge was an error and that it was going to be taken care of. Please note the location of positive reviews aren't for the Palm Springs, FL location - all Hanger Clinic locations are not created equal.

Had an easy appointment with Melissa Huse and the very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and received this amazing brace about 2 weeks ago. I am past happy with it, and am back to playing golf 2-3 times a week, minus the fatigue I suffered with the old AFO. Fishing with my Grandsons has become a marathon each weekend, where before I was too tired to take them out on the boat for an appreciable amount of time. This has changed my level of activities tremendously. Melissa is extremely well-versed in any needs of each patient, and I am very impressed. I received my first prosthetic at Falk. For several years I got new prosthetics there, depending on…read moremy insurance. They "recruited" my service before I got my amputation in the hospital. I trusted them. As the years passed by, I had a prosthetic that needed repair a few times. Falk and I both knew what the problem was but they always made me wait for Mr Price to drop off the prosthetic. I could never just run in and drop it off. Towards the end I started feeling like I was not a valued customer because my prosthetic would sit there for sometimes a week and I would have to call there and ask what was going on with it. In a day or two after the call, my prosthetic would be ready. On a few occasions there was no copay at the office for labor (which should have been on warranty) and I would get a bill in the mail 3 months later. At one point, because I didn't pay the last bill, a lady named Sandy made a sarcastic phone call to my emergency contact requesting payment. This was the last straw. The emergency contact should only be used for medical emergencies and not bill collection. Falk really showed me how unprofessional they were when they stooped to those tactics. My new prosthetic place has offered me some new, advanced prosthetic products that are easier on my leg. I'm no longer stuck in the same constricting prosthetic that Falk had me in for 7 years. Look for other places, Falk is old and looks to suck out your insurance. Rude billing staff also (Sandy).

The over-the-counter arch support they sold me for over $100 is no different from the lightweight ones sold in Walmart or a grocery store for about $10 and the custom orthotic made my foot condition much worse. I went out and purchased a new pair of wide sneakers with a thick rubber bottom and also purchased a Dr. Scholls tri-comfort arch support for $10 that has not only given me relief but has corrected the problems that developed after I started wearing the products I purchased at Foot Solutions. My perception is that this store is a gimmick and only exists to take your money. Why an over-the-counter shoe insert should be over $100 is ridiculous but when you are in pain you are easy prey and don't think things through. I have never had such a bad experience with a business like I did with this one. I feel stupid for falling for their sales pitch. Don't make the same mistake I did and find your own orthotic at a Publix pharmacy. Now that I have taken matters into my own hands and no longer have foot pain (no thanks to Foot Solutions) I am sorry I didn't try this first. These people may be certified in something, but I think it is all a crock. The products I purchased at Foot Solutions made my foot problems worse and gave me new ones. Avoid this place.
