I have going to South Beach Tan in Lake Mary for over a year now and have had horrible experiences there. Staff still can't get my name right, always trying to make money off me, and wouldn't even let me come in and spend money without a mask. I went to All Tan Inc in Orange City, FL today and told the owner what happened and not only did she let me in without a mask, she GAVE me a new one to wear and had me sign a form saying if I don't wear one it's at my own risk. I signed up for an entire month of level 4 tanning (equivalent to Platinum bed at south beach tan) and red light therapy all for $75/mo. Needless to say South Beach Tan will never make another dollar off me going forward and I will be spending my money at All Tan Inc from now on. The owner is SO nice, understanding, friendly, and professional. P.S. they are also remodeling soon and I am so excited for them. read more

this is my 15 minutes of zen time that I look forward to. The staff is almost always friendly (some more often than others) but I'm not here to talk to them so I don't really have an issue. The beds are always clean, and I never (fingers crossed) have had to wait more than a few minutes to get the bed I want if it's unavailable. I like that they offer a lot of promotions, so I almost ALWAYS take advantage of those. I'm a happy camper read more

The beds are regularly dirty and the employees become irritated if I request cleaner and towels to clean myself.

Absolutely disgusted with this place. The worst customer service. Every single girl that works there acts like a 12-year-old incompetent child. Had the worst experience today having to stand there naked basically because they couldn't figure out what to do with the bed that wasn't working. absolutely the most embarrassing thing every. Not to mention a guy walked by and got a little sneak peak. I was so disgusted I couldn't even tan after that. read more

I go to this location often and am usually treated very well but after this last experience I can't say I'm thrilled to be back... I went in with my mom and we said we both wanted spray tans and told the lady working what shade we wanted and then paid. She went in first while I waited and others were arriving as well. My mom finished and the woman working told the people who came in after me to go next so I asked if we didn't pay for mine or if something messed up. The lady YELLED AT ME that I didn't tell her my name and scan my finger so I couldn't go. So I did that and then she proceeded to let the many people who came in after me go before me. I didn't leave until an HOUR after I came in, and that was after one of the women who came after me offered to let me go before her. I think the lady working was making us all uncomfortable. I just sat in silence and thanked her when I left but this behavior is unacceptable in any establishment. read more

I don't even know where to begin with my experience at this place. There are signs outside and inside that say "a month unlimited $18.88". Little did I know that was not the case and I would not be told the details until after they took my money. I came inside and told the cashier that I wanted whatever the month unlimited deal was. She said ok and took my card without anymore conversation than that and swiped it. Then she handed me a receipt for $65. I was confused and asked why it wasn't what was advertised she seemed confused and wasn't sure what to say back. I pressed her again and she said "it's sort of like a membership thing" I asked her why she didn't tell me this information before and she said she didn't know. She proactively told me I wouldn't be able to get a refund so I asked to speak with her manager. She got her on the phone and the belligerent woman told me I should be happy that I got such a great deal! What an imbecile! I told her the signage was deceptive and that the cashier didn't so much as hint at a membership etc... She said she would not be issuing a refund for any reason. I never pull this card but a close family member practices law and I told them I would make a phone call and have this taken care of outside of the business place. They begrudgingly told me that "they would work on it". They told me it would take 2-3 business days to get the money back. They treated me like an idiot. Like I couldn't read. I read their signs. It is not as advertised. Train your cashier to understand how to speak to people and inform people. I hate even having to write this review because I go here often and have recently enjoyed it but this was beyond any offense I have ever suffered at any business. If you go make sure you help the cashier out and ASK for the fine print because it certainly isn't advertised. read more

I'm very unhappy with South Beach Tanning , I left my bottle of Tanning lotion on my last visit when I realized I left my lotion (2 hours ) later I called and spoke to the girl and let her know I left my lotion she assured me she would put it away for me (I did not get her name ) so when I called back to make sure they still had it I was informed that my lotion was not there and the girl who I was speaking to also said that there was no notation on my account ,she said she would call me back because she was going to look further and also call the girl that was working on the day I was in to see if she put it somewhere,when she called back she said (South beach ) looked back on call log and there was no call from my number on the day in question she also said she viewed the tapes and I did not have bottle in my hand (it was in my bag ) with my goggles n towel , basically she called me a liar without saying the words!!! And the time limit between the call I made and the return call was 7mins That was really fast to check , long story short someone took my lotion and the girl who answered my call n called me back insinuated I was not being true full...They are rude and not honest so think before you go and please make sure you don't leave your lotion or anything for that matter because you will not get it back read more
